If your phone is ATT S5,
Download the G900A_Downgrade_to_NCE.tar from here:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23622183712464416
Use Odin 3.09 and flash in AP slot. Once it is done then take the OTA for NG3 then OA1
Thanks to @muniz_ri

How long did you wait? If blue light is pulsing means phone is working. Try get to recovery mode and clear cache and davik.

That is what I though OK what you need to do is go to the troubleshooting section of that thread and download the G900A downgrade to NCE rar file and extract the G900A downgrade to NCE tar md5 and flash that in the ap slot of Odin 3.09 that will take you back to bone stock NCE then if you want to get back to NG3 rooted follow the steps in this thread exactly the thread is locked but the links are still good.

[Q] Nothing seems to work to root the phone, what to do?

I have followed the rooting directions here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997
and the "if nothing else works heres how to root" thread here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18981227&postcount=4
However, I cannot seem to get the phone rooted. Everything appears to go fine in terms of using Odin to downgrade from 2.3.6 (which I understand cant be rooted, which is why you have to downgrade first), but when the phone restarts it just turns the white back light on and the phone is unresponsive - it doesnt actually boot. I can put it into download mode and put it back to its original ROM (N7000XXLA4), but thats it.
Basically, I am stuck trying to downgrade to root - anyone know what to do?
Try re downloading rom.. Sometimes downloaded files may corrupted somehow..

Re-download a rootable rom form the above thread. Flash it via pc odin. And boot it. If it is struck at boot try clearing the caches in the Samsung recovery and reboot. Then download the corresponding cf kernel file and run root me now.bat after verifying that the zImage file is int he folder.
Try and let know your results!!
Cheers!
Hit thanks if it helped!

hi thank you, i tried this but now it is stuck on galaxy s5 logo with unlocked padlock. and there no reboot , just stay the phone on. no way to switch off except take out the battery.
please advise
Mine was like this and I also tried the above to no avail....the only way I found around it was to take it in to ATT store and have them "re-flash the Lolipop update" Wiped my phone but it works, now I just have to wait (patiently) for root exploit for the OTA 5.0.

[Q] USED BUSY BOX "reboot to recovery" script

I am running Alliance 9.1 rom and I was searching for my Safestrap recovery. I didn't find it and so I tried busybox "reboot into recovery" script. Doing that made my phone go crazy "go to att and let the service tech" look at it. I can't boot into recovery as it gives me this error and I have to use ODIN to flash the BL file. Now I can't get into my phone because of a Pin. I think that the script from busy box is still running and if I can get passed my pin, I want to see if I can disable the script. My main issue is, can I use the aforementioned process to just start over? I was told I cannot use ODIN to flash to stock rom. I have already found out that I have tripped my knox counter. PLEASE HELP. THIS IS MY ONLY PHONE AND MY WIFE IS GOING TO KILL ME.
Thank you for your help.:crying:

If you can get to download mode, then you should be able to flash ALL four files in Odin which will wipe your phone clean [100% Stock] Lollipop 5.0 (N900AUCUEOC1) Odin Tars http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-3-att/general/100-stock-lollipop-5-0-n900aucueoc1-t3069609 OR N900AUCUCNC2 ODIN Files http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=54803130&postcount=136 Use all four this way your will wipe your phone. The phone booted and I've gone through the process. I was in download and while it did say "fail" on the com1 slot, the com 2 slot "passed" and I'm going through the setup process now. I am just happy I don't have an 800.00 brick.
Thank you so much for your help and I do appreciate your responses as I am new to this. I will most likely put alliance back on unless you have a Rom you use currently that you would recommend?

When you put the Alliance rom on it and to get to safestrap all you have to do is hold your power button have a sec and click restart then safestrap. BUT after you flash anything you have to flash the OC1 Kernel before leaving safestrap.
This just harder

AT&T S5 Brick help (PLEAASEE ASAP)

Okay so I first rooted my 4.4.2 at&t g900a s5 with towelroot successfully. I then flashed a lollipop firmware with flashify directly from my phone and that firmware came with root. I didnt like lollipop so I flashed my orginal firmware (4.4.2) through odin and ended up sort of bricking my s5. When I turn it on, it goes in boot and makes the screen black and has a blue LED on top that stays on forever. I fixed the problem with this website:
http://www.galaxys5update.com/fix-black-screen-with-pulsating-blue-led-on-galaxy-s5-g900a/
I followed the steps and flashed the partition one first and got to the boot screen of the s5 and it had the lock symbol and said "custom" and paused there forever. I tried the modem one after it, but then the EXACT same thing happened with the partition one. All I want is to go back to stock or to lollipop or whatever, just a working phone. I tried factory resetting and wiping cache but nothing worked. PLEASE HELP ASAP

Go to the OP and scroll to the notes section on post #1. In step 5 it has the NCE downgrade firmware. As long as you didn't take the OTA, the downgrade firmware will fix you. Flash it with odin 3.09 in the AP slot.

Which version of the firmware did you odin flash? I have download links for
the baseband and bootloader but I do not want to post the wrong versions.
I am certain of one thing though, your problem is not related at all to the baseband or the bootloader.
If you have successfully odin flashed the proper version of the N910T firmware then you already have
the bootloader and baseband in your phone.
What you really need to do is to go into download mode and odin flash the proper version of twrp.
Then pull the battery and replace it, once it's replaced hold down the volume-up, home key and
the power button at the same time until you feel the phone vibrate, then let go of all the buttons
and the phone will go into twrp recovery.
Once you get there do a full wipe:
System, data, cache and dalvik cache and last but not least do a factory reset.
Once that's done let twrp reboot your phone and you should be good to go except
you will need to odin flash cf-autoroot if you want root access.
Good luck,
Have a great day!

Okay, you don't need the bootloader or the base band.
Follow the instructions I posted for you.
Good luck!

Okay, then odin flash the "N910TUVU1ANK4_N910TTMB1ANK4_N910TUVU1ANK4_HOME.tar"
again, reboot the phone into download mode but before you do, remove and replace the battery.
Once in download mode go ahead and odin flash the "N910TUVU1ANK4_N910TTMB1ANK4_N910TUVU1ANK4_HOME.tar".
Then go back into download mode and odin flash the twrp recovery. (first remove and replace the battery)
Be SURE you use the proper version of twrp before you odin
flash it, the proper version for N910T is "twrp trtetmo 2.8.7.0" ...
If the above don't work for you then you must not be following
the instructions 100% to a "T" ...
Good luck!

Just call tmobile tell them that the phone died and get a replacement. OK, why don't you try installing an older firmware?

Quick question, what firmware version were you at before this started and have you tried installing an older or newer version like LP for example?. Also verify you are downloading the correct version for your model.
