I've been looking all over to see if there is a way if the phone can at least vibrate or have the led light turn on when a notification comes in while on a phone call. Maybe a certain rom has this feature or through xposed?

Phone can vibrate if you get notification without applying any advance stuff but for enabling notification LED you'll have to root and then will have to use Light Flow to enable it

im running CM 5.0.6 had a look and no option
i need to stop it cos im using app protector (AWSOME APP BTW) when im in a msg and i sleep the phone from the msg it the tacker ball flashes from the breathing light... i have changed the breathing light colors to make sure it is the breathing light and it happens with the color i change it to can any1 help turn it off

Drives me nuts as well. I found turning the default breathing light color to red helps a bit with ignoring its on.
..trackball not.i.success. breaks the breathing light
Place it face down.

Kind of hard to talk on the phone with the phone face down on the table.
My breathing light activates and remains on while talking. Even with no notifications present.

I dont really like active notifications since it seems to suck up a little more battery than i want. anyway regardless of battery drain or not, for someone who does not want active notifications, does this phone have any LED notifications when you have a message?
also, on my older android phone, when i am on call the phone screen will automatically turn on if i move the phone away from my ear and look at he screen (eg. to press tone keypad for automated machines or voicemail). The moto x doesnt do that, it stays off, is there a way to fix this?
thanks,

1. No this phone doesn't have an LED
2. It should...maybe your phone is defective?
I don't really like the vibration on calls nor notifications.
Is there a way to turn it off completely?

Yes that is a good idea but I like to have a good priority mode because I use priority mode over silent.

For incoming calls, go to Settings>Sound & notification>Also vibrate for calls
For notifications, it's most difficult because you have to configure every app that can make vibrate the phone with his notification.
I'm wondering if anybody knows how to modify to vibration intensity on the phone. I currently go to school and I usually keep my phone on my desk and the vibration is pretty loud and annoying. I want it to be one short pulse; much like the iPhone vibration.

If you're rooted, Light Flow will let you change the vibrations, and enable the LED notification light too.

Just to clarify, I believe this is only for the paid version of the app.
Lightflow Tutorial for Nexus 6
Hello,
I have latest Xiaomi.eu rom and when I activate do not disturb mode, the screen won't wake up neither on incoming calls or any notifications.
Does anybody have the same issues, how can I fix it, please?
That's what you want and for! No disturbances.
You can set calls to come through if in your favs or if it is a repeated call for example. For me and is exactly as it should be

Maybe I don't have to use Dnd mode, but I want to use phone in three modes. Ringing+vibrations, vibrations only and no ringing and no vibrations, but with screen awake. So how can I set up the third without still having to go to the menu for turning the vibrations on/off for silence mode?
Thank you

Can you not just use pull down menu and turn off sound and vibration when you want silence? Saves going in to menu each time.
