I got the invite too. I signed up for it. I just need to flash stock recovery and I'll be good to go.
It might be more helpful to say "I'm using Moto X version xxxx running Android xxxx on firmware xxxx with carrier xxxx and got this notification...."

Yes, you are wrong.
I would like to see 5.1 but most likely it will be 5.0.2 unfortunately
I'm curious to which one it will be as well. 5.0.2 or 5.1. It sucks because everyone is blowing up about the first gen soak coming out, but everyone is hush hush about the second gen soak test. Moto has already come out and said yes the first gen soak is 5.0.2. Maybe its a beta test for the 5.1 on second gen before a bigger soak test. Who knows??

I think people are more hush hush about the Second Gen's Soak Test because people seem to know less about what is happening, maybe that is by design, maybe that is just coincidence, but either way there is just less info floating out there about the Soak Test.

Why??? The first gen doesn't even have Lollipop yet and it took what seems like forever to get it to work properly with the 8X system. First gen owners have been waiting a lot longer than a week. The second gen has had Lollipop since November. It will come. It's just a waiting game now. I've personally waited two weeks between a soak invite and the test. The one thing that is certain is that it will happen soon.

Full RSDLite flash version is COMING SOON. PM me if you want a crack at the files before I drop them or want to help me strip these down, I need to remove the developer ID code so that the "originator" is not identifiable.
I can strip the specific .IMG files out - Has unlocked bootloader.
TBH has some considerable experience with test keys builds for other Motorola devices and we would love a chance to take a look at these files.
We also have a number of OTA updates for various test keys builds that we cant use unless we have a full XML zip build to start from.
I am still waiting for my dev edition M to be shipped by Motorola. It was supposed to arrive today but has been delayed till the 24th for unknown reasons.

Are you positive that its actually going to be released? I thought There has to be a massive call for it? reason I say that is because I talked to a verizon rep today and he was straight up with me. I'm from rochester NY and he told me he wasn't even sure if it'll happen. I just went ahead and bought it anyways. I'm loving it right now. But please enlighten me!

Developers familiar with the Moto Builds are using the files. Since it's pre-release files don't expect miracles but they might help them to understand a few things. It's a small step but a step nontheless.

Soon.
My idea of when the motox will get lollipop is like this;
Wake up one morning and take my phone off the charger, notice email icon on active display. Touch it, "motorola Feedback network"
Take short survey
Wait 2 - 3 days, get system update notification.
Disable xposed, flash stock recovery, take OTA
Xpose Lollipop
???
PROFIT
Might go differently, but thats my idea
Lucky me, just got my Note 4 yesterday and checked for software updates just now and low and behold I'm receiving Lollipop, its a 1161.38mb download..
you sure it's lollipop? i know my note 4 received two updates in the past month.
Getting an update on SM-N10A(stock. not rooted) on ATT network. . Its a 1161.38 MB file. Will update on which version does it get updated to shortly.

HTML:
http://communityforums.rogers.com/html/assets/OSUpgrade.html
And tell you it's TBD. My old co-worker who now works at Rogers looked into it and apparently Samsung isn't releasing that information. As he said it's policy it classify devices that don't get support as TBD as to not piss off customers. Aka it's a coin toss if they are going to release it.
AT&T isn't the same as our devices. The closest we can get is T-Mobile. If and when TMO gets the update we won't be far behind. At least we shouldn't.
Yeah, I know of that link and they have pointed me there before. I've had a dialog going with them actually. I would like to rattle their cages "in public" as much as possible and Twitter is a good way to do that. I really was surprised to just get the Note 4 about 2 weeks ago, thinking it was the current flagship phone and then find out they have no idea when they are going to release Lollipop on it. Just bizarre.
A coin toss? How can a phone that hasn't been out for even 5 months yet not get Lollipop?

I was referring to the 5.0.1 update. It's very possible they will just lazily skip it and go for 5.1
If thats the case we most likely won't see a LP update this year. Remember Samsung had the oportunity to start LP in June and it has taken them 9 months just to get to this point. Considering no Canadian Carriers have been informed of the update even arriving, meaning they have not tested them and that in turn could create another month or two of testing. It's also been disclosed that Samsung has no plans on working on 5.1 at the moment. Let's assume that they wait to give us 5.1 instead of pushing 5.0.1 out. Since they have not even started 5.1 we can assume they might start in two months (Highly doubt it would be that quick). Then if we take the first time frame we add another 9 months plus the fact they wait a month after they build (check the build logs) we are at a total time frame of 12 months out for a single update. Skipping 5.0.1 would mean a total of 21 months of development time before the first actual LP update.
Of course remember this is all assumptions and theory based on what we have seen so far and I could be totally off. At least I hope I am.

Just the usual AT&T crap... Google Service needs to be updated after Lollipop installs, GS took multiple attempts to finally install, otherwise you keep getting a notice that the update is required.. Not sure if was just me but I had to reboot a few times to finally get the Install option to pop up..
So far I'm liking Lollipop, Visually much more appealing..

Just updated to lollipop and I am experiencing memory leak. I performed a factory reset and is doing much better now.
RELEVANT TO US BECAUSE WHEN WE GET THE UPDATE, IT LOCKS THE BOOTLOADER.
IF THEY LOCK IT FOR THE S6 EDGE, THEY'LL LOCK IT FOR THE S6!
DO NOT TAKE THE OTA IF YOU DON'T WANT A LOCKED BOOTLOADER.
Unassuming Galaxy S6 edge users are in for a surprise, as T-Mobile appears to be rolling out a freshly cooked OTA based on Android version 5.1.1 Lollipop for the device. The catch, however, it is so far reported only on the T-Mobile network.
XDA forums user Sunderwear mentioned about the OTA a couple of hours back (at the time of writing this story). Urged by other users of the device, the poster also uploaded a video of his Galaxy S6 edge running the latest firmware. The video can be found at the end of this article.
As noted from the narration, the update also locks the bootloader on the device.
So, how many of you have already received the update? What do you think of it?
Source: http://www.sammobile.com/2015/04/29/android-5-1-1-ota-being-rolled-out-on-t-mobile-for-the-s6-edge/
Looks like someone in the Edge forum was able to downgrade the bootloader and flash TWRP but still, tread carefully.

This type of thing might happen with a lot of updates. You need to remember the rooting/moding community is very small compared to the people who just use their phone as is. So if anything I think its weird that someone in this community got the update.

If it turns out to be true and even if they they just push it to those who oped in for soak test and whatnot and not a full out release in the next few weeks i am happy with Lenovo and this phone. I love what Lenovo did with the phone. I said updates will make or break it and i was scared about that when they said they could not commit to the security patches. But were getting those patches and have a word on the update so far so good. Hope they keep it up. This is the best phone out all around.

I agree 100% the funny part is I decided I needed a non samsung device as soon as I saw that lil wayne commercial that had him dumping champagne on the phone. I told coworkers that wanted the Note 7 prior to the release to get this phone instead because Samsung spent far too much for lil wayne for proper research and development, they all made fun of me...until the note started exploding.

Off topic but the issue is simple with the Note 7. I checked this my self. But its not cheap for them and the "Fixed" ones were not fixed and there was no way for them to fix it.
Simple version. The IC samsung chosen to handle the monitoring of the voltage for the battery was the cheapest they could find. That being said they can be way off in terms of calibration. The note 7 i had charged my battery to 4.9v. Phone would read 4.405v but a fluke on the batt reads 4.921v. And that is dangerous. So for all i know they could be charging to 5+ volts and no wounder they are bursting into flames. Issue has nothing to do with the battery and changing it wont do a thing. Its an issue with the ic on the board. And the IC has been used in other things that handle li-ion and li-po related charging and also caused problems on them.
Back on topic.
So we get 7.0 before the end of the year. Im guessing November. So far so good on the updates. But im wondering if they are going 7.0 or just going to jump to 7.1. Chances are no 7.1 that fast but so far the updates have been good. And the moto mod updates have been amazing. I would like to see 7.0 by Nov. 17th. But we prob wont see the roll out start until the end of Nov.

Not that I'm aware of. I've done plenty of soak tests for previous Moto devices and I got invites for soak tests for the camera and projector (which I don't have either), but I never got one for the phone. The update just popped up for me last night.
So far the only Nougat issues I'm having is the fact that my Ambient Moto Display no longer works. Slightly annoying, but it could be worse.

Great that means it's a general release!
Do a hard reset, it's always recommended to do a hard reset after a major update for optimal performance and user experience.
Strike my last statement. I just got it working. I need up just clearing the data for the Moto app and set it up again. Moto Display seems to work perfectly fine now.
