Title says it all, really. My dream phone is stock Lollipop on the Note 4 hardware. However as I am in a black hole for cell service, WiFi calling is a must. Is there a ROM out there that is Lollipop (or at least Material Design themed) that maintains WiFi calling? Or would such a beast be possible once we get Lollipop from TMo/Samsung?
Thanks
Not until TMO releases their firmware.
Best option is probably Dynamic Kat rom with the lollipop-ish theme.

Maybe I'm the only one with this issue, but I can't seem to connect to the network when I use CM10.2 on my m7_wls.
I am currently using the m7spr builds of CyanogenMod (maybe that's the issue; m7_wls vs m7spr) and everything goes great... up until I actually boot in to CM and all that ever happens in terms of cell signal is "Searching for service." I have used three differenct CM nightlies since no stable releases have been released for the HTC One yet. I have used several custom Sense ROMs with no issue. I haven't tried any other AOSP-based ROMs yet either.
For those who don't know, Ting is a Sprint MVNO. It's super cheap compared to most carriers, though it doesn't have any sort of an unlimited plan. Anyway, Ting is a Sprint partner and uses their network and devices, but maybe that's the issue? I have to update my PRL and Profile to get Sprint devices to work with Ting; however, a PRL or Profile update in Sense (or Stock) should still be valid, "carry over," in CM, shouldn't it?
1. I recently have come to the realization that TMO is evil in giving us this awesome feature called Wifi Calling to hold us back from custom roms.
I'm spoiled.
From my understanding the TMO wifi calling feature is really just a framework that redirects the call to a TMO server, VOIP technology really. Can't a ROM Dev just add those lines of code into their ROM? Or is it more complicated then that? I heard that GS4 users have Wifi calling on 4.2.2 already. I'm going to dive in to my system to see if I can pull up the Wifi calling files after this.
2. Wifi calling aside, I'm trying unsuccessfully to move away from stock and get a custom rom loaded. Which ones would you guys recommend and why?
Thanks!

hey all, this is new territory of this kind of messing around with an android phone so here goes
i had a DNA that i had working with t-mo no issues until the phone died (water damage)
in switching i got my moto x bootloader unlocked and has been working like a champ with working LTE except
1. stock motorola based roms work with the exception of text messages in my findings "my phone number" is unknown unless i patch it as a xt1053 or other GSM moto X
2. AOSP based roms (4.4.x) all have unknown phone number and will fail in sending any text messages , any 5.x based roms will show a phone number after an outgoing call but are not stable enough for me for prime time yet IMO
does anybody that has the XT1060 that may have moved it to a different carrier have any tips or directions of being able to use other roms with success?
I have the same issues. I'm xt1060 BL unlocked running cricket wireless. Most CM based roms (all the awesome suff) don't work. You can boot just about all of them but you will find issues with sending sms or calls in some circumstances. The only CM based rom I've had success with is CM12 Lollipop. It gives you a bit of a change but it isn't as good as any of the cm11 based roms. I HOPE THE XDA GODS SHINE SOME LIGHT ON THIS HORRID SITUATION.
Also as far as I know, its possible to make the roms work if you can change your oem carrier in fastboot. Google "fastboot oem config carrier". I was unsuccessful in getting things to work out.
thank you for shining some light on the situation, i hope we can get enough eyes on this to hopefully find a fix!
Good evening XDAers. I just received my Project Fi Sim and Welcome Kit. I love my Nexus, and the openness of roms. Will I be totally unable to use custom roms other than Pure Nexus? Or is there a workaround where I can pick to be either using the Sprint or T-Mobile network depending on where I am an and what the coverage is like. At home and around town it looks like I will have full 4G service without issue, my only concern is traveling, which I do a fair bit of.
One solution I though of doing was utilizing MultiRom. Use the primary rom slot as Stock (for when I travel and such) this way It will do the proper hand off between networks. Then on my second slot use whatever rom I am using for the week, haha.
Any Fi users have any thoughts or comments on this.
I have setup Multi Rom with the stock rom being the stock Nexus 6 Fi specific factory image. I can boot into the stock rom slot and use Fi's network switching. I am able to boot into the second rom stock and successfully get a connection. I have only been able to connect to the Tmobile network on the second rom slot. I am working on being able to pick between sprint and tmobile. I will post back more If I can figure it out.
I have been able to manually toggle between sprint and tmobile on my second rom slot running CM. Will work on a writeup.

I have an S4, the wife has an S6 Active. Both previously AT&T and now unlocked, working on T-Mobile. Aside from worrying about updates I wanted to flash a T-Mobile ROM to be able to use the WiFi Calling they offer. I'm downloading the ROM now for my S4, but it appears T-Mobile didn't sale the S6 Active, so I don't know which ROM to go for that wont brick the phone.
Does anyone have experience with flashing a stock T-Mobile S6 ROM to an S6 Active? I know the case and screen are different, but I don't know enough about the internals to know if this would work? Any other options, custom ROM's (last time I used a custom ROM I ended up with random connections from my "idle" phone to Russian IP's..). Any custom ROM's that would actually have the T-Mobile WiFi calling features?
I apologize if this has been answered, but searching only resulted in one other person asking the same question with no answer.
