The Samsung US site won't ship to Canada, nor is it available on BB's website. EBay may be an option. It looks like 3 are available on amazon now. They previously were not in stock.

Thanks.
I just found an eBay seller who has them on for $45US. I hit the "make an offer" and offered $39 for one and they accepted. They are new in box, according to seller. It says he has 11 left.

Anyone know if the part that holds the nexus s (the plastic "cover") is removable from the car dock? I much prefer my IQ Solutions dash mount, but would love to have something like that piece to hold my phone.
The holder detaches from the arm.

wouldnt it be better to get a generic holder like the exogear one? I mean, most nexus s owners replace phone once a year, does everybody also replace all the accesories? what is special about the official samsung holder other than the made to order snug fit? just curious.

Yeah, I replace the accessories yearly as well. Normally its just a car dock though.
The OEM docks just fit so much better. The nexus one stock was nice for the built in speaker phone and auto activation of car mode....but with nfc that is really not necessary anymore.

Does anyone know where to get any accessories for the N7 from a brick and mortar store in the US? Walmart has stuff listed on their website but they don't have any in stores, and yet they sell the tablet. Five below has a few generic cases but I am mostly after a screen protector for my Fiancee's new N7 and didn't want to have to order if I could avoid it. I guess I can use a cut to fit generic pack if I have to. I just concerned about it in her purse.

Hey,
Trying to find a genuine, NEW Samsung battery to give new life to my used Nexus S. Any one have any ideas? It seems like all the ones I find are either used, or probably not real...
I'm looking for this too...

I've been searching for one too, in Canada.

Did you try asking Samsung? I have been on the same mission to get a genuine battery, I emailed their customer support asking about buying a genuine battery in the UK and they responded within 12 hours:
In regards to your enquiry, all our official accessories and spare parts can be bought from the following sites:
www dot samsungdirect dot com/uk
www dot 4mysamsung dot co dot uk/
If they don't have the parts you require, you can contact them directly to enquire.

4mysamsung dot co dot uk has what appears to be a compatible Nexus S battery (GH43-03359B) and ships globally (shipping to Canada is £8). If you ask there might well be a Canada
(I also saw www dot exportprive dot com recommended on here for genuine Samsung batteries, apparently they export from Korea so it may be a good option)
(Sorry for the URL mangling, xda-developers won't allow me to post full URLs)
I got one on Amazon, from Samsung. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0026LQL40/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00
I also got an extended battery too, but I lost NFC with it. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005D7T7EK/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00

I ended up ordering from DX.com - got a battery and a charger. Only planning to use it as "backup", so I don't care if it's as good as the real deal.

Would this battery work? (need to know, ASAP.)
Or, This?
I think the second one would?
K, thanks.

I have been looking for hours online and I now give up. I cannot for the life of me get a simple answer to the question. Are all Note II batteries compatible? I only saw one place that said yes, but if that's true why does eBay have them listed as SGH-i317 vs SGH-i317m or the N7100 ect. it's confusing. I want to make sure because on eBay there's 1000's of batteries but if I get specific and type in SGH-i317m only a few pop up and they are more expensive so I'm hoping another model #'s battery works. Thanks.
PS I saw the similar thread on extended battery case compatibility but I'm wondering about regular battery replacement. I know the note II variants differ slightly, some have FM radio tuner, some have dual sim card capability ect. Are those darn batteries universal
From what I've read the battery dimensions are the same throughout the models. I would be willing to bet my hard earned money on this.

Thank you. I went ahead and bought 2 3500mah or whatever the abbreviation is lol and a charger for 35$ for model SGH-i317 and mine is SGH-i317m it also said it would fit the n7100 ect. So yes I think it was never really discussed because as you say, there's nothing to discuss they're all the same I'm hoping. I will confirm when I get them
Other than Samsung directly. Does anyone know where I can order an OEM Micro USB Cable? I think using a generic cable is causing my computer to fail to see the note 2.
Search ebay for something like Galaxy Note 2 OEM usb cable.
I just ordered a few of these.. 5ft long too.

I have had older samsung cables work with Kies. If your running a non touchwiz rom any brand of cable should work fine. But if running TW, Kies is very picky on your cable, in my experience.
I have a few "China ebay cables" and they charge the phone but fit very loose and will stop charing if moved a little bit.

I just go to Monoprice.com and get USB cables, I got a 10 FT cable I use for only $1.34.
They have one that looks kinda like the OEM one.
PS. I recomend buying in large orders when getting things from them, like get that HDMI cable you was thinking about getting and such makes the shipping price more worth it that way. Shipping can cost more than the cable!
Thx for the links Neo. Ordered a couple of 10ft USB cables and an HDMI.

i've ordered around 15 mUSB cables and haven't had a bum one yet. the 10' are a bit of a tight fit though. ordering multiple quantities is the way to go so that the shipping cost is spread out among the cables, otherwise the saving isn't significant.
now the chargers on the other hand, you'll need to get a few. i've gotten 12 with 4 bad. but at ~$1.50 each that's not too bad.

Or pay one price with a dedicated USB cable that is not going to break and a dedicated USB charger that will not break and spend completely less there's your savings.
It goes the same for micro SD cards all these people when I get the cheapest price possible and then b**** and complain and moan how is not working or it got fried or failed. Because now they would have to purchase the real one that may have cost a little more but if they had just bought the real in the first place they would have saved more.

with my purchase i have a cable for nearly every where i'll need one. no need to spend more just to get a "monster cable" type that's based on the same standards as my ~1.50 cable. if you feel better spending more money to get the same working stuff i got then go ahead and defend your purchase.
but like i said i won't buy chargers from them any more. powergen has been pretty good for me and they run about $10 each.

No, because the shipping usually cost as much as the cable it's self, 2 or more cables usually only add like a few cents to the shipping cost.
They also have a warranty on there cables and replace them for free if you do get a bad cable and that's only been once in a 5 year period that I had to use there warranty.

I spent a total of 10 bucks okay for an OE charger as well this is in total a heavy duty USB cable no problems at all and I don't need a warranty because they don't have issues.
I don't need 10 cables laying around that's just nonsense its the same thing why people buy the 0 lemon battery why have three to four batteries having to swap them out when they die when you can just settle for one battery for about the same price if not cheaper and not have to worry about turning your phone off and on to swap out the battery.
I have to USB cables 1 is the BlackBerry cable and the other is just the OEM.

Wait till it craps out. I'm glad it works right now. why do you gotta be cheap about everything. Because I love the people that will buy anything at a cheaper cost let's say something happens and no warranty for it and complain that is not getting fixed. I see people do this all day with car radios they buy everything from Sonic Electronix and then complain when they bring it to the manufacturer that something is wrong and then they don't offer a warranty for it because of the fact that they purchased it from a third party that isn't an authorized retailer

Higher price != better quality. See: Beats by Dre.
In fact, quite a lot of people have had issues with the OEM cable. There's a thread in the General section about slow charging where the culprit, for many people, is an OEM cable giving out. My OEM cable which came with the phone now supplies 160mA. 1/10th of stock.

I'm not really cheap about a lot. I saw that thread someone posted with the eBay sale of the 64gb card for $30 and bought it just to see what would happen. I have a 128gb normal sd card but it doesn't fit in my hunterf case with the adaptor. it's a legitimate PNY card you would see at best buy for twice the price or more. doesn't mean it has any more chance of failing compared to one you would get at best buy.

F*** that s*** dude beats by dre is just retarded overhyped mainstream BS. The bass sucks completely the treble is harsh its just complete crap all together it's overpriced on top of that.
I have a pair of in ear monitors that are $80 by Klipsch which they're called the s4 and they do much better job than any beats by dre or Soul by Ludacris crap.
If you wanna talk about audio then you're going to have to go with brands like Westone, Klipsch, Sennheiser, Shure, JH Audio, 1964 Ears, Ultimate Ears, VSonic, etc...
Car audio: Focal, JL Audio, Alpine, Rockford Fosgate, and some JBL/Infinity.

I know, that's why I brought them up.
I personally use audio-technica ATH-M50s, modded to have a 3.5mm stereo jack rather than the normal coiled cable. Got a v-moda cable to go with it which has a mic and music controls.
There is definitely a subjective element to all this. I think what the person is saying about getting ten cables is more about convenience, and economics. Monoprice lowers the cost for bulk orders. The shipping for some items is fix despite the number order, thus more you order, the lower shipping per unit. We all get that.
His other point, why drag a cable and charger around all day, when he can just leave a cable or charger to the places he frequents most such as the car, work, home, friend's house, gym, and so forth. Plus, if they cable is good, you'll probably get to use on other devices that charge via microUSB, which most like aslo be the next smartphone. Personally, I have chargers and cables in the car, work, school backpack, home, and laptop bag. Some are from previous devices, other are ones I bought.
It's similar logic to the ZeroLemon battery. It's just what is more convenient for that person.
But given his record, it's about right what is standard manufacturing fail rate, which is targeted for three to five percent, or less. Even the most expensive equipment can have bad units. And given Monoprice cheap prices, if you get one bad unit out of ten, no one is going to care if they rest still work as expected.
On a personal note, I've been ordering from Monoprice for around four years. I haven't had any issues with their cheap cables. They're cheap, but they work.

As for audio, I like etympitic Research. I have the ER4 and ER6 and use the HeadRoom BitHead portable headphone amp. I like ShennHieser for opencans. I have a pair of HD600s that is use with the HeadRoom Cosmic headphone amp.
