As the title says i wiped /System and now can't get past the sony logo. What would be the best way to fix this? Thanks
Flash a ftf
It worked
Thanks a lot, took a while but it worked. Now I have a follow up question. I ended up bricked because I'm currently on SlimKat and I wanted to put a lollipop ROM,Resurrection LBL. I also want to use the Pico Gapps from PA,as it only flashes Play Store and nothing else. The problem is when I start flashing Resurrection it says my device is "lbhuashan" and not "huashan" and fails. When I flash pico gapps it says I have to wipe /system (which is how I ended up bricked) and fails. Is there a way I can bypass these two issues?
Can anyone please help me out with this? Thanks.

Hi there, i did this and for the most part,it worked.
Both CM11 and 12 flashed without issue.
There was no "adaptive brightness" setting under "settings-display" so i just flashed gapps. It flashed fine.
The problem is that during initial setup the phone sets up mobile network, and at that point when it says "may take upto five minutes" it goes on for more than five minutes,so i skip this setup. At that point,i can see the 3G logo H+. When i finish setup having skipped that particular setup, i go to "settings-more-mobile network" and immediately the H+ becomes an exclamation. When I open APN, it is not correct, for my network Safaricom Kenya. Even after I correct it though, the exclamation remains. So then I have fully working CM12,correct APN settings. But no mobile data.
I have tried the following fixes
Reboot into recovery, wipe cache, wipe dalvik. No success
Delete default APN,put APN manually, reboot. No success
Dont delete default APN,add new APN,switch to new APN. Reboot. No success
Edit default APN. Save edit. Reboot. No success.
Reflash ROM, let "may take up to five minutes run. No success, runs indefinitely (phone starts to lose charge)
I'm at my wits end here. Other than mobile data not working, everything else seemed fine. I have flashed back to CM11,which ironically, has the exact same wrong APN as CM12 as default ,and when I edit it and save the edit,i get mobile data.
Am I doing something wrong?

Have you your bootloader unlocked ? If yes try RR 5.4.0 by Furrydaus Build4 + Tangerine kernel v1.2 everything is working perfect there
No i do not. How do I unlock it?
@Allanitomwesh This is how you unlock the bootloader.

First of all, i want to introduce myself a bit, cause it`s my first post - i followed this great forum for quite a while now and learned a lot by reading stuff, though i`m still just a user... by using some howto`s i was able to flash huexxx rom zeus 3.2n and i`m very satisfied with it in daily use.
However, i would like to use Temaseks Kang or the stock CM7 and that`s my problem... It doesn`t matter which of the two roms i try - i don`t get service and there is no apn. i can`t check for available services but phone connects if i choose to sign automatically, but even then there`s no apn available.
I tried to fix the apn manually but can`t save - means, i can save but apn won`t appear after saving.
Additional information: I did a full wipe before installing cm7/temaseks kang, wiped dalvik cache, tried factory reset after installing - nothing works.
So, i hopefully await some help from this community - hope it`s not too noobish...
greetz, nbt
Happened to me once. All i did was as this :
- In APN settings, press menu and click "Reset to defaults".
- Either default APN settings from your service provider will come automatically or it won't.
- Even if it doesn't appear, reboot your phone. Just give a little time before rebooting the device after you click reset to defaults, so that if sim card is sending any message to retrive the APN settings, it would finish.
I had got my APN settings back after 2 reboots with this steps. Hope you too..
try "Apn Manager" or "apn backup and restore" you can find these in the market, maybecan helpyou
I tried both - no effect
i won`t get a connection to service automatically. If i try to scan for available services, i get an error, if the phone chooses, i get a connection but no apn.
after rebooting, there`s no service-connection and i have to join by hand. argh!!!
anybody a solution for this? am i the only one having this freaking problem?
edit: went back to zeus, got service, got apn without problem... what`s wrong with cm7?
Ladies and gents;
So i changed my rom a few days ago for the CM7.2 thanks to a guide on here, and it really impressed me in terms of performance and the whole package.
Problem is, i can't seem to connect to 3g, and cant seem to create any apn's either, device just doesnt do anything when i click on create new apn!
I have made sure that the baseband is on the right selection and so are my network settings...
I have a motorola milestone that used to be locked to TELUS and is now unlocked and using FIDO

Its possible that you might have just had a bad installation. Id recommend you backup your data and apps, go into recovery preform a factory reset, wipe all data and cache, and re-install the CM 7.2 ROM. I have had similar problems to what your having in the past when installing new versions of CM and most of the time re-installing the ROM did the trick.

i tried just doing a dalvik reset and all data+cache, it worked for the volume wake and the rest, but still no 3g connection
A simple battery pull may work.

I had the same problem with both 3G and 2G as well. I had to manually add APN in Settings>Wireless and Network>Mobile Network>Access point names
It works fine now, even when switching from 2G to 3G while connection is active. CM7 7.2.2
I recently installed both AOKP and CM10, the most recent versions on my Verizon Droid 3. Now, i have no service. I downloaded (via wifi) the app "lte on/off" to get a look at what was happening, and the radio keeps rapidly switching on and off, on and off over and over again. This happened with all the AOKP versions i tried and both CM10 versions I tried. Ive rebooted, re-flashed, tried different download links, reflashed again, wipe and reflash. Im at a complete loss here guys, any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I had the exact same problem. I went insane scouring the web for hours trying to find a single person with the same problem until I finally gave up. Does anyone know the last version that actually worked?
I also have this problem, do anyone have any idea how to fix this problem?

I had similar problems on cm10.1. I have no idea if this will work (I'm outside the US, and my phone asked me to activate the phone), but I also had no service, no data. I changed my network mode from GLOBAL to GSM/WCDMA auto. Now I have service and data (Data after applying the correct carrier apn settings)
I hope this helps you all
P.S. after this step I made factory resets without the need to do the above step again (You only need to put the correct apn settings again if your on networks other than Verizon)
Hi all! I have a droid 4. i just flashed it with CM10.2.1 and then updated to CM11. in both version sms is not working. I type a new text and it fails: i get the red triangle and message not sent.
I looked around and I found it's a common issue and if you remove "voice+" sending sms is available again. I removed "voice+" going to system>app>voiceplus.apk and deleting it as i saw in a thread and reboted, many times. still not working.
then I also went to the *#*#4636#*#* menu and checked the SMSC. I tried both the +39 and the 079193 version but still nothing.
I have to add I'm using the phone in italy over a GSM network. Phone calls and data network (3G) works perfectly!
How can I fix this? CM11 is a stable on this phone, strange to have such a big problem!
Thank you for help!

Installing the patch twice uninstalls it.
Install it again and then reboot.
If you upgrade the ROM at any point in the future you don't need to install the patch just reboot again.
So, first reboot after a ROM upgrade will leave you with no GSM signal but another reboot will bring it back.
Cheers,
Scott

I did it and in the 4636 menu I have GSM but still does not get signal...
Have you tried using an alternative SMS App? Hangouts maybe?
So I managed to solve the problem. This is the way:
-deleted rom slot 1.
-recreated a partition in rom slot 1
-wiped everything in slot 1
-flashed cm 10.2.1
-flashed gsm patch
-booted
-flashed gapps
Now everything is fine!
Hello, I just flashed LineageOS 16.0 on my phone, as a replacement for PixelExperience before that, because of some other problems, and everything works perfectly, except for the SIM card... at first I tried to login into my Google account, and it needed the authorization code from the SMS, but the SMS didn't want to arrive... it did after a few minutes, and then after another 5 minutes the one from the other attempt did too.. which seems like there was some lag with GSM.. but it worked at least. Then I tried to make the mobile data work. I set up the APN just like I always did after MIUI factory reset and what not, but it didn't work. I read somewhere that it might help to wipe the caches in TWRP, so I did, but that didn't help either. I restarted the phone many times since then, and it still doesn't work.... Right now, the signal icon is empty, so I guess even GSM doesn't work now. Doesn't any one know what I should try next? Thanks
