Quality of the images is good, the experience is comfortable, it has some extra information about each image even showing you where on a map it was taken, relaxing music, etc etc.
Happy I bought it, totally worth the $3 ... I've paid more for my first VR experience back in the 90s and this was way more impressive .. Plus I can watch it again as many times as I like
It ends in a 360 panoramic photo, which DOES have stereoscopic 3D ... Very very cool indeed.

if you are outside the USA you will need to use VPN software and open Oculus home with VPN enabled. Then you will get access to more content such as paid games and several free things like MilkVR and more.
Get HOLA from the playstore, that will get you there.

Just downloaded a new App from the market called Tv.com... For those missing the Sprint TV app, this is a very good replacement... and it is free!
Be sure to check it out...
Yup, very good app. I'm on edge and the videos still load pretty quick. Only downside is it's a cbs app so channel listing is rather limited.
Great start! I wish it wasn't just clips of Showtime shows. Hope more gets added.
I searched tv.com but couldnt find anything
Is it a free or paid app?

its free but with 2 major downfalls..
1 every shows is made into 1-2 minute clips which is annoying as hell to watch.
2. it does not make use of the full screen its like youyube used to be when you were not on wifi
Very nice. The resolution is way better than the Sprint TV app, sound quality is good, and I'm not seeing skips or pixelations.
Now if only the other networks would work on their offerings plus have Netflix streaming... oh to dream...

Anybody know where is the list that Adobe provided of optimized sites?
This is a site everyone knows about but I'm listening to the Phoenix vs. Lakers game live via the ESPN homepage and their Flash enabled audio player. It's so freaking cool looking! And sounding!
My Nexus screen even dims but does not timeout, like it KNOWS I'm listening to audio, not watching video!
I'm absolutely thrilled with Flash performance! I cannot imagine being on any other platform! There is SOOO much killer content we're going to be able to take advantage of. Especially sports games I normally would not have access to while mobile, are now going to be possible via Flash!!!
Flash runs pretty choppy for me. Not sure how you guys use it for games.

atdhe.net to stream sports! Watched some of the Lakers-Suns game on my Nexus to test it out, works great!
how about Break.com?
found another one. quicksilverscreen.com wow flash is great lol
I was wondering if any one has had Dish Anywhere playing on a pc with google chrome and used the cast entire screen option to stream it to the tv with chromecast? I really want to buy one if this works. Thanks for any help.

Wishful thinking! Dish is a bunch of iOS fanbois and don't give a crap about Android! They have 3 apps for iOS and 1 for Android. They can't even release a freaking app to remote control a hopper...

A work around would be impossible if Dish is not going to build it in. Just buy a cheap Android stick and you can run Dish Anywhere on there. This is how I get Dish to my TV in the Garage...

My former employees gave me a galaxy vr as a going away gift on my last day. So far, I'd say this is the most fun accessory that I've gotten for my note 5. Even the free content is fantastic. I've installed package disabler to be able to run cardboard apps, but I want to know if anyone has found any fun items for this device.
there are plenty
Jurassic World, Social Alpha, Netflix to name a few. Did you just say you figured out a way to run cardboard apps on it? Please do tell!

max temp so far (on note 5) is about 106 degrees after 4 hours, thats not hot at all
I haven't ran into any overheating issues. Gets a little warm but that's it
Stumped
Tried to use the widget but GEAR VR SERVICES doesn't show up in the list. Anyone else have this problem and a solution? Gear Vr services is listed under APP manager though.

I used Package Disabler Pro https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ospolice.packagedisablerpro
I don't have root access and it works for me to disable Gear VR Service. I don't have the VR yet, so I can't test the rest.
Good luck.
I think there is a free version of the app too.
I had one of these for my note 4 and found it to kill the battery and make the phone so hot that it often shut down after 30 mins due to heat. Tried it on my note 5 but same issues. However it was more of a problem as no SD card slot, so found the games large enough to fill up my device quickly. Note 4 was a quick swap of the memory card.
The image wasn't clear either - as mentioned above each eye separately seemed ok but blurred a little together. It feels like the lens need an adjustment to suit width of eyes also.
I found the VR interesting but gimmicky. It seems like an afterthought. But as its early days I'd have expected the consumer edition to be improved over the innovator edition...but its just not. However it is half the price!
Next version will hopefully further improve this. I can totally see a market more these but as an early adopter I soon became bored with it (and had a few headaches too as a result of the blurring!).
Don't forget to install Herobound: First Steps (free). You'll really need a controller to get the most out of it, but its the first game I played that really felt immersive.
What controller do you guys recommend?

Who can recommend a mirroring app that will allow my phone running for example, Google Maps, to send the screen via Wifi Direct (or maybe hot-spotted) to my tablet, so as to use my tablet as a fully-featured Head Unit in my car?
My OPO already works great at providing navigation and music--what I need is for my much larger screened tablet to take over the screen features. Would prefer to not have to use data on the tablet as seems to be required by some of the mirroring apps.

I had a look and can't see one app that fits the bill.. A couple let you share files and cast certain things, but no full access.. Even these limited apps are poorly reviewed.. Sorry this isn't helpful, but I don't want you to have false hope..

Found an intriguing app that seems to mirror the phone to the tablet very well, over bluetooth, network, or hotspot--MirrorOp.
It is however, a $10 app. I'm reconsidering that kind of commitment.

I tested the free version out and it worked properly. I had GMaps from phone (where I have sufficient data) mirrored to the Zenpad Z8 tablet (with insufficient data). Everything was windowed, but maybe I can hang with that.
Still though, that's $10 big bucks to get beyond the time-out. Ain't ready for the investment--will chew on it--and report back if I buy it.
