I am considering buying a prepaid T-Mobile Note 4. Is there any difference in trying to get it unlocked versus the one I would but under contract? My carrier is AT&T. What about the camera focus issue on that particular model? I would be buying from Best Buy.
I am also looking into buying s5 or waiting on active s6 only if it has a user replaceable battery, storage card, and waterproof.
Thank you

Hi,
I am going to purchase a brand new note 4 for the first time from a reputable vendor i heard all the horror stories about ebay and blacklisted imei's so decided to shell out the $$$.
I saw brand new n910c going on amazon for a little over $600 which seems like a good deal but I know it doesnt support band 12 on tmobile's lte network. I do use tmobile but the cheapest i saw a tmobile note 4 was bestbuy which is like 800 with tax which seems pretty steep
Is it ok to go with the exynos n910c or will i regret it down the line if i dont have band 12 support? Or does anyone know of another place I can purchase a new note 4 tmobile wihtout having to buy tmobile service? Thanks.
I bought my Brand new N910T from Swappa for like $700 when it first came out. My Gf just got a brand new one for $600 on swappa last week so I'd suggest buying a brand new one from there if you can't get it directly from T-Mobile.
You will get bad battery life compared to a T-Mobile note 4 with band 12 but that's just NY $.02
im confused... if you use tmobile, why not get it from tmobile?
Yeah, Swappa. They check IMEIs for blacklisting and financing plans, so if a device makes it for sale there it's gonna be good. Currently I see a brand new Note 4 for Tmo for 540.... Comes with everything but no box.
The selling of devices or products on the XDA forums is against the rules. If your looking for a device go to Swappa if your selling go to Swappa.
Thread cleaned and locked as OP now knows where to go as recommended by XDA

Hello there,
I was wondering what is the code name for the international note 5.
the one being sold here is N920C , one sim card.. is it this one?
and the rom development will be focused on this model or other models?
thanks
Additional question, where do you buy in USA factory unlocked phone carrier subsidy free. I would like to pay full price but be bloatware and contracts free. Samsung does not sell them directly, Best Buy doesn't sell them directly. As far as I can say, you can buy contract free for full price, but it is still locked to certain carrier.
So,
I want to outright buy a 64gb or higher variant, but for Canada.
I can by a 64gb on Ebay ranging 950-1500... But I'd like to pick my colour & have it actually work in canada at first without needing to root/custom it at the beginning...
Any suggestions on where I can buy one? Especially the best model variant that will be easier to use custom roms?
Please advise, I am on "bell canada", but am going to telus as they cover better service in my area's.
My "contract" is up in October. So if delivery is 2-3 weeks, i'm ok with that...
I want a brand new epic phone, switching up for the well used 32gb note 3 with 64gb samsung evo microsd...

I have AT&T and I'm considering on purchasing a Note 8 but the slow updates and the lack of color options on the US variants of this phone has really deterred me from it. I was thinking about buying the international variant of the phone but I've heard that it does not support Band 30 and has issues with LTE( at least with T-Mobile). What are your guys' verdict on this issue and is Band 30 really THAT important for AT&T?
I'm thinking of buying an S10 plus from CEX here in the UK, I've noticed their dual SIM models are £10 cheaper than the single SIM model, I'm wondering why? It seems odd you're paying less for potentially more functionality, I'm wondering if I'm missing something obvious here haha. I take it most ROMs will work fine with the DS variant?
