I use a pop3 email account for work and coworkers send me v calender invites . My phone can not read them. What would be the best way to have my phone calender see them. Currently i use google calender, and gmail for both accounts. My phone is the only way I access my email account. Different calenders, different email app? Any help would be nice. Thanks Chad

I have been trying to setup my two hotmail email accounts on my X1. It don't seem to be happening, am, I to conclude that it cant be done?
I tried too...don't think it's possible. I just have one account forwarding email to the other. This way I get push email on both live accounts.
EDIT: There is also an option in Windows Live (online) that lets you link other email accounts to your Live account.
cant you configure one account with live messenger and the other with a normal pop3 settings?
dont you need mail server information to set up pop3 ?
@Whybe: my accounts are linked but I would have to go online to check the mail everytime
On Cyanogen's ROM, there's 2 email apps. One called eMail and the other is Work Email. I want to sync my school email to the phone. So, I don't want it taking them off the server but just copying them. Anyway let me know which one I should be using, and maybe what's different about them?
I'd usually forward to my Gmail but my school filters out forwarded mail to Gmail.
You should use eMail for the task. Work Mail is to connect to exchange server.
My suggestion is K9 Mail. You can download from Market, and it has much more features than stock eMail app.
There is no free Mail app for Android I tried so far that I could say I like.
GMail app misses some important GMail functions, eMail app never ever shows me notifications even though I enabled them, Work eMail is exchange only with nearly no options and K9 has graphical, usability and speed issues.
Maybe I should try Touchdown Exchange for my University Mail (which uses exchange).
Are there any other Mail apps someone could recommend?
Anyone know of a good email client that supports both searching and exchange categories?
I work around that...
I hook a dedicated gmail acct to my exchange. And just add that gmail acct to my phone and use it.
I have several email accounts... they are all POP3 accounts. On my pc I have Outlook, Thunderbird, and Pegasus as clients... and I telnet into my shell account for the fourth email account. (None are gmail accounts)
I'd like to have at least some of them on my Xoom... At the very least, I'd like m work email and one of my personal email accounts on my xoom.
I currently have no email clients configured...
What would be the best way to go about this??
I don't need the messages all downloaded... I'd rather just get headers for them and if I want to read a certain message then it would download the body.
Is that even possible??
Thanks!!
K-9 Mail, available free in the market, will do what you want.
Hello guys I am a hotmail user but now i have decided to switch my email client to Gmail as it has more features than hotmail and also because I am switching my blogging career to freelancing. Therefore I want to create my professional email account in Gmail. But Most importantly I want to backup my hotmail mails. Anyone here know the solution for this?

Click to collapse
Enabled pop3, then add the hotmail account to Gmail, it will download the messages. Alternatively add to a local email client and download all of the messages from hotmail.
Thanks for your suggestion but now I'm using a trial version of an offline Mail Backup X tool to backup my hotmail mails
