What app do you work to remotely control your camera. I am looking for one that will allow me to see what the camera sees before taking a picture, so I can make sure the picture looks right.

Hello.!
I am just wondering if there are any camera app which allow for some manual controls ? to allow for things like shuttle speed, aperature, etc...
you know, the typical manual camera controls.
I would love to have such a featured camera app.
Heck, even my old SE W810i had hacked camera manual control.
Hope to hear some good news.
Thanks.
the closest your gonna get to that is snap photo pro in the market
Hello all-
I downloaded the Camera Launcher for Nexus 7 app on my N7 and it work great except for one thing. No effects! In the app description it said you could access the new camera effects/filters introduced with Jellybean. My question is, how do you activate the effects? I have gone through everything in the app and couldn't find anything. Is anyone here using this and able to access the filters?
Thanks,
wws12
The effects are accessed through the gallery; view the photo after you've taken it, then menu > edit.
There are also special features like big eyes which are available in video mode.
Thanks so much. I was looking for the video effects, but the effects after you have taken the photo were something I didn't know about. Thank you both.
Hi,
on my oneplus x i used the "Open Camera" app to make noticable better pictures.
Anyone found a camera app which makes better pictures especially better software video stabilization would be great.
Why does the P9 need it.
Camera is great except for stabilization in video.
No big deal

This - the camera app is amazing.
Sure the video isn't great, but it's worth checking that you have video stabilisation turned on. I had to go into the app and turn it on, it fixed a bunch of issues for me!
Since the phone utilizes dual camera setup, i doubt that there is 3rd party app that can make use of both sensors at the moment.
This what...? Can't see any useful information or links....
I've tried almost all and the native camera app is the best and the fastest. For video, indeed you need to turn on stabilization in the settings.
The only app that comes close for me is Snap Camera HDR. It's the only one that gives the same results in low light (auto low light mode on) and it actually gives you more control over HDR shots. The HDR shots are actually a bit better in this app. Only thing is the shutter is a bit slower, because it auto-focuses when you hit the shutter button.

Sorry do not found such setting where do i turn the video stabilization on can you share a screenshot, please?
ahh found it

Hi there, I have an USB endoscope camera, and I'd like to use it with the factory camera app (it would be great because of the voice activation controll, say "shoot" and take picture without pressing/touching a button.
But unfortunately when I attach camera, it works fine just an another application. Is it possible to change something in the factory camera app to show me the external camera's picture?
I've tried a whole bunch of camera apps and so far the stock app is the only one that seems to be able to access 60fps recording. Every camera2 probe app I've tried reports 30fps as the max reported speed the device can use which makes me think Oppo have locked out any other apps from accessing it.
Another possibility I'm wondering is if it's not actually true 60fps at all - and it's actually using frame interpolation at 30fps to create the 60fps - although it does seem more natural playing back the recordings and doesn't seem to have the slightly "unreal" look that interpolation usually gives.
There also seems to be no way to select any other camera besides one of the main cameras on the back and the selfie camera on the front when using 3rd party apps.
It just seems a bit of a f-you to have them tout the camera setup as a main selling point of the device while at the same time locking out other apps from using basic recording features like 60fps and making no mention of it. 3rd party apps also exist to provide additional tweaks and features that the stock one lacks and I was disappointed to find Filmic Pro and Open Camera can't access 60fps and has trouble with the shutter speed to stop the zebra stripes/banding in some lighting scenarios.
Have you tried porting Google camera? I just downloaded a modded port and can record at 4k 60fps. Looks Pretty good also.

Hey any chance of a link to the one you are using?
I have tried a few different apks and the only one that would actually install (or open) is the Camera PX v.8.1.008.341125824.
It suffers from zebra striping indoors and outdoors, pressing on "slo-mo" force closes the app, captures of both pics and video are fairly noisy or grainy, 4k mode force closes as soon as I switch the option and it doesn't have an option I can see to choose framerate.
Definitely would like to try a fully working one.

I used this one, although a bit of searching around and I found a couple of others I will try as well.
Greatness GCam APKs - Google Camera Port
Modified Google Camera app By Greatness.

Here you can enable bottons for the different lenses. Be aware to use the alternative fix as the app crashes otherwise.
I didn't figure out how to use the stream configs though

No, unfortunately not. Only 1x and 2x. But the rest works normal.
