Hey guys. Quick question for you:
I am thinking about doing the OTA upgrade to Lollipop tonight. If it doesn't work out well, is there any way that I can "downgrade" my D5803 back to 4.4.4? And if so, how? The one thing I have loved about the KitKat build is the stability.
Let me know and thanks ahead of time!
Yes. Flashtool. There are plenty of guides around here.
You can downgrade without losing warranty.

I just got my 4.2.2 GT-i9295.
Here's too much confusing information, can someone please answer:
Root the device now? with what? (a link please)
OR let it install the 4.4.2 OTA update first? (if the ~200MB one is 4.4.2??)
or can I just flash a pre-rooted 4.4.2?
I looked through various threads over the last 2 hours, I'm confused now... one says 4.4.2 will lock the bootloader and KNOX will screw things up, but another says that's only for AT&T versions, I have INTL... and another says everything is not a problem, KingoApp can do it. And another says I have to downgrade to 4.3 again ?!?
4.4.2 isnt out for the i9295 yet. Im in the same boat and just waiting for something definitive which will probably be OTA.

can i get the i9295 4.4.2 rooted version yet?
also in the same boat,
reading all these different threads about 4.4.2 and rooting but getting confused, Seems a lot of the instructions are for the i537.
I'm currently on 4.2.2 with I9295 unlocked and rooted. build number is jdq39.i9295vjuamg3. would like to upgrade it to 4.4.2 but absolutely want a rooted phone. looking for a straight forward guide to follow. FYI i have ti backup pro and busybox installed. can anyone point me to the correct thread.
normally i stick with the stock versions but if there is a very good and widely recognized non stock 4.4.2 version with everything working and maybe some of the bloat taken out i'd be happy to give that a try. again if anyone can post a link to the thread with some relatively straight forward instructions that would be great.
or do i need to wait a bit longer for the rooted version of 4.4.2 for the i9295?
thanks folks

Hello, I just wanted to say I just made an account and this site looks awesome but anyways lets get into the problem.
So, I have recently flashed my ATT Galaxy S5 to a stock 4.4.2 ROM because I was having troubles with updating to Lollipop, Now that I have contacted ATT, I am now outside the boundaries of ATT and they said I am "on my own" because I decided to mess with the firmware and such. I also want to inform you that I am pretty techy and I am really good with modding and stuff like that so I am not dumb, I am just new into the "exploiting" "modding" "hacking" smart phones, I had a past history on modding and jailbreaking famous CFW for the PS3.
I need someone to explain to me step by step on how to flash to Lollipop since I can't get it over the air and having att not wanting to support me because I changed and altered the firmware. I want to get the best modified version of Lollipop and the best one you guys recommend. I need help, I am basic as of now and need help on flashing my phone to a good lollipop firmware.
Currently, I am on KitKat 4.4.2 and yes, STILL on 4.4.2, I am really behind on the updates and I need help on getting Lollipop and at this point, I don't care about custom firmware, I just want something bad ass, and since I joined the exploiting and flashing custom ROMS, I am here to start to have fun with the benefits you can do with flashing custom ROMS.
Reply and help me step by step on how to flash to Lollipop, I seen the Twisted Lollipop, that looked cool.
But keep in mind that I am still on kitkat 4.4.2

If you didn't take the ota use this.
You don't want the update man.. You will lock up your bootloader.
Also even if u never plan root... It's still best to stay with KitKat. Lolipoop imposes stricter permissions and you will have less control over the device.
I wish I could go back.. My phones updated and now I'm stuck.
If you truly do want to upgrade... Do it threw a manual process that will allow you to change later if you choose.. The ota update is the last thing you want

Hi Guys,
I managed to downgrade from Lollipop 5.1.1 to kitkat 4.4.4 asia retail version via rsd lite(excluding gpt.bin and motoboot.img). However if i try to update the software to official stock lollipop, it says the device is already up to date. Can you'll tel me if il ever get the OTA updates now?
Thanks !!
Hi ... this is purely an opinion which I think will be helpful, followed by a question.
1. I do not believe further OTA should be of an issue to you because I do not believe Moto X 2013 will be getting anymore!
Could I be misunderstanding something?
On a separate note I am trying to downgrade my own Moto X to 4.4.4 from 5.1.1. Have you noticed any issues as a result of leaving out gpt.bin and motoboot.img?
Ta.

Hi mate,
Well to answer your query, i did not have any issues downgrading to kitkat from lollipop. and i also got the ota update for 5.1. Smooth as butter, having no issues thus far. Why are you downgrading anyways? i happened to install the custom rom, so wanted the original one.
After enduring the crap that is lollipop & even trying as a beta tester, the new Marshmallow, I've come to the conclusion that Android KK 4.4 was the best of the lot, but how to get it back onto my unrooted no carrier, unlocked UK spec phone?

Just download a ftf from there, and flash it using FlashTool

N910T3 actually came with 5.1.1 lollipop out of the box there is no kitkat available or even 5.0 lollipop.
And even more bad news is N910T3 once upgrade to marshmallow there is no way to downgrade to lollipop because of locked bootloader.
N910T variant is only possible to downgrade from marshmallow to lillipop and kitkat.
And why do you wanna do that anyway ?
Kitkat is outdated almost 3 years old now and many apps and games required 5.0 or higher to run.
Stick with marshmallow its not that bad .
or if you really wanna go back to kitkat you can swap your t3 to T variant thats all i can say.
