I'm in a group chat and it has been working absolutely fine, downloading messages instantly until this morning when thksw showed up in every individual persons thread.
APN is on default for AT&T. 5.0.2...
Any ideas? I've rebooted, cleared data and cache on messenger.. Everything.

I'm running an unofficial version of CM12 and for the life of me I cannot get mms messages to semd PERIOD! When I click send the picture just completely disapears and never sends. Then when I reopen the conversation it appears again. After I hit send every time it disappears. I tried adjusting apn settings and I got it to send, but it took almost ten minutes to send. To try and fix this I reset the apn to default and now they don't work at all on any app.
So my question is what apn settings should I be using for a VS980 on verizon for mms? The ones I've tried online do absolutely nothing. Please help! (for the record I use the deauflt cm12 app but I tried sending mms on Google messenger and textra. Neither worked )
These are all my apns (see picture)

Anyone have a fix for the T-Mobile MMS issue? I can't download texts that are coming through group messaging. I have played around with the APN settings but nothing seems to work.
what messaging app are you using?
are you on wifi calling at the time?
This happens to me too sometimes. Stock mms app on data. I have a few that have been downloading for three days now
until yesterday i got zero group texts that were sent to me from iphones. yesterday i changed ipv6 to ipv4 in my apn settings and group texts worked when i tested it. can't say it's a permanent fix, but definitely give that a shot.
I switched from Hangouts to the Google Messenger app as recommended from another forum and so far it seemed to do the trick.
I just recently started experiencing this issue. The only thing that I had changed was installing the latest Hangouts app that I found online. But it wasn't working before then either.
If I try to send anyone, including myself, an MMS msg through Hangouts or regular Messages, it doesn't ever send, it just ends up failing.
I've tried clearing data for both apps, restarting the phone, resetting APN to defaults and resetting it to AT&T, and none of it is working.
Any ideas is greatly appreciated!
P.S.: my data is still working, just not MMS messages to\from my device
P.S.S.: sorry mods, I accidentally posted this in the carrier specific section, my device is super CID and this section is much more active
figured it out, it was the adblock plus app, lol
Hello,
I have an unrooted, p30 pro Canadian model vog-l04. I just got the automatic update to Android 10 but now I am unable to send SMS messages. I can receive them fine but can't send. I have tried everything in the list below. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
Cleared the system cache in recovery mode
Checked SIM card
Cleared network configuration (reset network settings)
Force closed messaging app
Cleared messaging app cache.
Uninstalled messaging app updates
Updated messaging app
Rebooted
Edited contact phone numbers
Confirm Message Center Number is correct
Checked voice calling and mobile data
Deleted old messages conversations
Tried sending from different SMS apps.
I really don't want to do a factory reset if I can help it! Is there anything else I can try?
Thank you!

Honestly, although you don't want to, after a major OS upgrade a factory reset is always advised, a vast majority of the time it leaves behind rubbish files which cause inexplicable problems like this one that just cannot be fixed any other way.
The only other thing I can think (but doubt) that occasionally happens upgrading to 10, is the APN settings password needs fixing, but that usually causes a no data problem rather than SMS, but worth a look
Thanks for your reply. For anyone else who has this problem, I managed to fix it without a factory reset, thanks to this post here. It's as simple as downloading huawei backup from the play store, which I think I had previously removed. SMS now works fine

Thanks so much - I had tried what I thought was everything to fix this!!! Reinstalling Huawei Backup did indeed instantly fix it.
I have debloated my phone and replaced the Chinese apps with Google apps. Notifications work without any problem. I knew going into this that I wouldn't be able to use Android Auto, Google Backup, and 'Hi Google' voice activation for Google Assistant, but I've run into a snag with the Google/Android Messages app. I can send and receive text messages, but when I try to send a picture it just says "sending" and I eventually get a system notification that my message could not be sent. This happens whether I have RCS Chat enabled or turned off in the Google Messages app settings. In both the Google Messages settings and my Vivo system settings I have enabled "allow MMS messages". I know that MMS uses Mobile Data only, so I tried sending a picture with the phone's WiFi turned off thinking the phone was trying to send the pictures by WiFi rather than Mobile Data, but they still won't send. I have installed an uninstalled the app, gone into Recovery Mode and cleared the cache partition, but the problem persists. If I reinstall the default Vivo Messages app the pictures send instantly. Can anyone think of a reason why I can send SMS but not MMS in Google Messages?

Hi Craig. You know that I face the same problem. One of my friend is working in Vivo France. I contacted Vivo China to expose the problem with google message. They find something and they told him that they are going to push an update soon with a patch for google message. ✌✌✌✌✌✌
Thank you for staying on top of this!
