I had installed the tablet in my car for tuning and dash display -. The only complicated bit is how to turn it on if the battery goes flat.
someone on these forums has already done it with an android device but that metods dont work with this tablet
Power on button isnt accesible, therefore I need to modify the system files to power on when a charger is plugged in.
The idea is that tablet automatically turn on as soon as it's plugged in to charge.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Is this possible with the recent LP unlocked bootloader ?

Hey All.
I searched but couldn't find a solution to my question. Is there a script, mod, or whatever that I can download to my tablet will power up when it get plugged in or charge up enough to power on? Like when the battery is completely drain and it will not power up, I want my tablet to turn on by itself when it is charged enough to do so.
Thanks in an advance.
I doubt you will find such thing.
It is the task of the bootloader to do that.
And no one write bootloader for our tab other than Samsung.
Think of it as the BIOS for your computer motherboard. If you want your pc to turn on like that, your bios has to have the feature.

Hi everyone,
Just a little question, does the standard Nexus 7 micro usb port still work when the dock is attached?
I want to have my Nexus 7 always connected to the power supply and in the same time have an usb device connected to the "standard" micro usb port (not the one in the dock).
Thanks!
mrA
Short answer: No
Longer answer: When the tablet enters OTG mode it disables the POGO inputs. That's because they're connected to power and the Nexus is providing power to the USB leads to power the attached device. If they weren't disconnected it'd be a case of power in (POGO) and power out (USB) at the same time which most likely would fry some electronics inside the Nexus.
Even timur's kernel which does allow OTG + charging via a special cable doesn't support this.

I do not own that phone, but I'm thinking about using it as car gps tracker. Does plugging the charger(discharged phone) turns it on to Android or it just waiting for the power button(with charging animation on the screen)? If not can we do it by editing chargemon script? I know that the phones behave differently in this situation.
It will show the charging screen until u start the phone manually.

Ok, so I don't have buttons and USB debugging was off. Battery was drained, the phone turned off and now I don't know how to turn it back on. Is there any way through command line?
Put the phone on charge let the battery have some charge in it.
if any case volume down button is working then you can start your device by connecting usb to your device first and then holding down volume button and then connect usb cable to PC (your PC must need adb drivers installed if not then install it first)
test point method should also help but i am not sure though.
I charged the battery but the phone didn't turn on the OS, I can see the battery level only.
Uhm... I don't have buttons at all. I mean physically. They're gone because I broke the buttons' tape [emoji23]

Hi,
I need do this modification in a Samsung S9 for my project.
I will put S9 inside a box and only space out of box is the USB-C for charging.
When battery over, I would like to plug the charge cable and the smartphone turn on again without press any button.
I search a lot, read stackoverflow/quora altought without sucess.
At this moment the S9 is rooted.
Someone could help me ?
This is not feasible by SW Mod.
Most likely you need to modify the FW boot loader on the MOBO.
Possibly it is momething to be implemented in the TWRP but also this rely in pressing some buttons on the mobile.
