Hi all,
Can someone guide me (step by step) how to install jellybean on my device.
Device details:
Model: Spice Mi410
ROM: MacLite-FB0 v1.3 (GB 2.3.4)
Kernel: Apps_2.6.32.9-perf
CWM: Recovery v5.0.2.3
Baseband: PR232
I want to install "cm-10-Ideos-X6-v0.2".
So, I got the ROM and also got the kernel "35.7-oct.4-cmx" & recovery menuu "Recovery Menu 2.0.0.1 for 4XXX baseband (kernel 2.6.35.7)".
Now, can someone guide me the sequence of operations to install JB?
I tried different combination of sequences CWM, Kernel & ROM but couldn't do it
(If I flash CWM first then I don't get recovery menu again so can't flash the ROM.
If I flash ROM first then it doesn't boot. I can go to the recovery menu and flash the CWM but it didn't help.
Also flashing kernel at all different point, didn't help me.)
1. Put the downloaded new rom. (.zip) to your SD card
2. Install Tjstyle RC3 via SUT 1.8 (RC3 comes with CWM preinstalled.)
3. Go to 'backup and restore ' and take a backup
4. Format Data, Cache and Dalvik
5. Install the zip from SD card
6. Reboot system and you are done
7. Reboot once again and login to your google account

I tried rooting my Sony V, but its ended up in disaster where the phone doesnt boot past sony xperia part and just loops.
I tried to root it via this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2090319&page=2
Through" Gasai Yuno" step by step instructions. I have tried to originally flash my phone using the"TRIMMED-LT25i-SOL21_9.0.F.0.195.ftf or the original LT25i-SOL21_9.0.F.0.195.ftf " but it turned out a disaster.
I managed to get the bootlocker unlocked but even that seem to have re-setted everything on my phone to default and deleted everything on my phone.
SOMEONE HELP PLEASE!
All I wanted to do was load this ROM.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2500671
Those instructions are for Android 4.0.4-based firmware. Obviously the phone will bootloop if you flash 4.0.4 over 4.1.2.
Use Flashtool to flash it to a proper 4.1.2-based firmware and get root using Binary's scripts.
You could also flash a custom root-enabled kernel using fastboot if you unlocked the bootloader.

Unlocking the booloader always resets all data, it's normal.
thanks guys really appreciate the help!
Any chance you can guide me in the right direction to a 4.1.2 based firmware?
This thread has FTFs for .140. You could just search the forum for "LT25i FTF" yourself, you know.

Ok I flashed it back to normal then I tried to install CWM Recovery through this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2012738
Using this method:
"Installing CWM for the first time is as simple as:
Download CWM v4 installer for ICS if you are on Ice Cream Sandwich or CWM v9 installer for JB if you are on Jelly Bean, and unzip
Enable USB debugging and connect phone to your computer
Run install.bat/install.sh"
After that I tried installing this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2500671
But it failed and gave me error7 I think it was, so I tried to forget about the rom and tried reboot the phone back to normal but now the phone doesn't go past Sony on boot up, and I can't load up CWM.
PLEASE HELP!
Flash the .140 FTF using Flashtool once again.

Just for Information... Most flashable ROM zips do wipe the system partition before the actual install begins - as a result, your recovery (which is for locked bootloaders and thus stored on system partition) is also gone. Which means that on reboot neither rom nor recovery is present to be booted in.
So in the case of a broken rom zip or errors in CWM, it is important to either flash another (working) rom zip and the CWM-self-installer zip directly afterwards or restore a (hopefully) previously done nandroid backup.
Otherwise, you'll need your pc to setup your phone again ^^

I decided to update my ace's firmware to KitKat using this ROM cm-11-20131229-UNOFFICIAL-cooper++XR.zip, so firstly I rooted the phone then i installed Clockwork Mod Recovery 6.0.4.6 to install said ROM. I did all the steps as normal, however when I rebooted the phone after the installation had taken place it was stuck on the cid boot up screen for 6+ hours which isn't normal, so I tried to start in recovery mode in order to reformat, when to my surprise I got a blue screen. To sum up I cant start the phone as it gets stuck on cid boot up logo and I cant go into recovery mode to reformat, are there any possible fixes? If there are I would be eternally grateful.
Cheers.

If you really need a kitkat version for your ace 5830, Just forget about the current scenario and please follow the steps
1. Firstly connect the phone into download mode to pc and flash stock firmware via odin

is your bootloader unlocked? otherwise you cant flash aosp based roms....maybe you flashed a wrong kernel or a dead rom..
1. Solution:
flash a custom rom (like CyanogenMod)
-Bootloader Unlock
- flash a custom kernel with a recovery (for exampel doomkernel)
-enter recovery (vol + button when sony logo appears
-install zip from sd card
-select the rom you put on the sd card
--> there are many good tutorials at youtube
2. revert back to stock via flashtool
very good tutorial: http://www.android-hilfe.de/anleitu...epariere-downgrade-upgrade-ich-mein-sony.html
any questions -> private message hope i could help
