No. the Sprint phone and Tmobile phone are totally different. You will screw up your partitions if you try changing you CID/MID and running the TMO RUU.
Why are you doing this, may I ask? Why not just SIM unlock and use the phone on TMO's network?

Really? I've heard people were able to use this phone on Tmobile. In fact, I was going to do that. I talked to a TMO rep, and she said there shouldn't be an issue.

That's not really how it works.
Different variations have support for different frequencies, you can't change that.
Also, if it's SIM locked, you'll still need to SIM unlock it.
If your phone is locked to a specific carrier, Is unlocking the bootloader the equivalent too debranding
If so, then once unlocked isn`t it possible to run any RUU to get it back to a factory state of some sort...
Nevermind. lol

No.... unlocking the bootloader will make no difference to carrier branding, to do this you will need to flash a stock or custom rom.
In order to run any RUU you will need to s-off your device but this can only be done if you have an hboot of 1.44. Without s-off you can only run the RUU for your specific device.
And Btw it is currently illegal to sim unlock your device.

No it is not. Most carriers will unlock them for you for a fee and there are numerous other services which will also do this.
So your basically saying with S-Off, I dont need to run around looking for my device specific RUU file, which by the way does not exist..anywhere.
What should I expect after flashing any RUU file, negative affects...sim card not working..etc
See I flashed a custom Kernal and my camera crapped out.. I would just like to have it back and right now it seems like a full Factory is the only method
What is the best RUU file for a bell Canada match.. International maybe..or even developer..hmm. I may very well just s-off my phone to do this cause my camera means much to me.

I meant in the states its illegal to sim unlock a phone yourself. The carrier can unlock it and its not illegal.

This is a new law passed by the library of congress.
It'll probably take one or two years to repeal.
Regardless, it's not illegal for you because you have a time machine.

Yes, its illegal for new phones. But phones sold before the beginning of the year are ok. Yes its a stupid law and it should and hopefully will be repelled.
So if the phone is unlocked and s-off AND has a custom rom it isn't carrier specific anymore correct?

Follow the guide posted above. After unlocking it you might have issue when connecting to other carrier s network so be sure they are using compatible frequencies. I'm almost sure you will not be able to connect it to any other CDMA carrier. Normally CDMA carriers will not accept a phone on their network if not sold by them.
Next time if you are planning to switch carriers, buy a gsm phone, much easier! even with a locked gsm phone, you'll only need to sim-unlock the phone with a purchased code then put in any gsm sim card.
Sorry I can't help you more, I'm not familiar with the WLS variant.

Since Verizon is CDMA, would using SuperCID to write a Verizon CID allow me to flash a Verizon ROM?

First off, why do you want to do this?
Second, flashing ROMs/Recoveries/Kernels for a different device will not work and can possiblly hard or soft brick your device.
Thirdly, If you want to use the Sprint Phone on Verizon that's a tottoally different issue than flashing a Verizon One ROM.
So in short, Do Not Do It.

Alright, thanks for the reply. Just thought that it was possible due to both carriers being CDMA
Does flashing the metro pcs ROM and radio, and then using a regular SIM unlock code, for sure work? Or is that hot or miss?
Any other confirmed SIM unlock method?

Metro PCS ROM has been confirmed to work with regular SIM unlock. I thought I read somewhere that all you really need is the M-PCS Radio, but I can't swear to that.

Do you know if it achieves permanent unlock, or if it reverts back to locked state if T-Mobile radio is reflashed?

It will revert back to locked if you flash back to the TMO Radio. That is my understanding.
Do you by any chance have a link for the post with links and instructions? All I can find are posts of people asking how to unlock. Thank you!
