We know MMX canvas A1 have a total of 2.23 GB free space for only apps. I have used its about 0.94 GB for apps and 9.87 MB for cached data. But now my phone shows available free space is only 235 MB. Why...?
Where is my 1.05 GB free space. Its happened after installing the LMY470 lollipop ROM. Please help me someone. I can't install my favorite games now which I want to play. Please I am waiting for a good reply with solution....:crying: :crying:

try clearing cache and reboot. Maybe that helps or reflash the ROM as there is no data wipe needed of any kind just boot to a custom recovery and install the LMY470 Lollipop ROM zip without wiping.
not working...
I reflashed the ROM but I didn't got any difference....:crying:
It's because of Android RunTime, apps now take more space than before.

I too was getting unwanted internal storage filled up. What I did was wiped cache, dalvik cache and user data using Philz custom recovery. If you don't know what it is or if you do not want to know then I will tell you the easiest method. Go to the nearest service centre (make sure you are not rooted/unlocked in any way) and request them to do the update and I am sure they will be happy to help you get your FULL 2.23 Gb internal soace back. Happy lollipopping!!!

Hello. I've got mu SGS for about an year. I recently installed an ICSSGS ROM on it and I enjoy it but it's kind of sluggish. Also a "low space remaining" notification appears and I don't know how to get rid of it.
I want to ask you how I can clear the internal 6 GB on my phone and make it run smoother(can I just delete everything or are there some system files?), how I can install the Semaphore kernel and a good ICS ROM for a smooth experience and some games.
Thanks in advance!

I think you would just go to Settings - Backup & reset, select Factory data reset.
This will put your phone back into the "brand new" state when it first came out of the factory.
You'll lose all your apps, data and custom settings that you've been using.
Best thing to do now is to flash a new ICS like Slim Ics, Dark knight 5.5 or TWICS (i've tried these and they are very good roms). You can download one of these rom into .zip archive, put it into your device and flash via recovery. After that, you can flash a kernel of your choice in the same way (if it is in .zip format) or through Odin if it is in .Tar format
Factory reset means wiping all data and apps except system apps and data.that will clean your phone from all apps u installed after flashing the last rom(of cause u wipe everything when installing a new rom) this will get rid of any lag or sluggishness u are experiencing.
But first try wipe cache and dalvik in cwm.
Next download "easy cache cleaner" from play store and clean your cache.this normally solves the problem
Ps. I know the adds are annoying, but it's one of best free cleaners. To get rid of the adds download "droidwall" and check the apps that need internet/data connection and apply.it's like a firewall only the apps u allow permission have internet/data connection
Hi all,
When I posted a query in the general forum, I was informed about the possibility of the eMMC damaged on my GN. It happened after I hard reset it after upgrading it to the stock ICS (N7000XXLPT/ N7000XXLQ2).
My question is, before I try to fix it by the offered suggestions, how do I know for sure that the eMMC in fact is damaged? The only issue I've with my GN is that my data connection with straight talk is all over and hade to change the APN settings a few times.
Thank you all for your help!
You wont know unless its affected.
But dont go about wiping etc just to find out, though thats the only way to really know.
You can also download Chainfires brick bug app to see if you have a dangerous emmc chip. You can find it in apps/themes section.
me again...
You may or may not have caused damage... it does have a random characteristic. Like I said just don't wipe, factory reset or try to flash or restore anything while on that stock kernel.
Aside from some complicated ADB command lines that try to write to all sectors, you don't know if you are damaged. You are probably ok, in that your phone is mostly working for now! The damage usually show up when trying to use PC odin to flash a full ROM.... it gets stuck at writing the factory image.
Just take your time, study up, wait for more expert help, and don't make a stupid mistake.
My advice if you want to stay on ICS
1. Root it (follow guides for rooting stock ICS)
2. Then flash speedmod or france kernel from CWM or Mobile Odin
Probably safer to flash safe kernel only from PC Odin. Thats what I did. And I think triangle away works now also.
If you scared and want to get back on GB Rom, do what I did and PC odin a CF GB kernel only.
Wait for others advice:....

Thank you, both! I did download an app called "got a brickbug?" which gladly told me that my eMMC chip indeed was at risk of being infected
When I look under the storage, this is what I see:
Device memory
Total space" 1.97 GB
Applications: 360 MB
Available: 1.56 GB
USB storage
Total space: 11.07 GB
App: 50 MB
Available: 11 GB
Do these numbers look right, or am I being paranoid?
Those numbers look perfectly fine.

where can i find the app you mentioned ?
Look in the apps/themes section. The thread is called "got brick bug"
is there anyway to upgrade TrickDriod Rom from 5.6.0 to 6.0.1 without wiping any apps or data ?!
Yes just flash without wiping the data....

Not sure how that's gonna work for you cause 6.0.1 creates another folder that your apps go in. I believe that's why he mentions backing up the sd card.
If you read in the thread, you can see that is better flash with a full wipe.
However, you can try a dirty flash.

You can format the sd card from within recovery and it won't affect your setup at all nor remove viper.
Hello! well first of all sorry for my english, second.. these are my 2 little motherf... with this :cyclops:
Since am new with androids and this phone is not precisely popular i spend a lot a time figuring out how to install CM 10.2, when i did everything was fine until i notice that mi internal memory went from 8GB to 5GB (i had previously installed a custom android rom with safetrap but i wiped it) then after a couple of days i lost ALL of my internal memory and i had to reflash the device.. i still have no idea what it was
Well doing that i decided to go for CM 10.1 cause it was an "stable" one and then again flashed the rom and all that but i still had my internal memory full.. so i when into cmw recovery and format the data and other stuff except for the firmware and the internal data when to 5GB again BUT my WIFI died.. and now it doesn't turn on.
I know its a long story but am freaking out! i don't know what else to do.. i cant either restore my internal memory to 8 gb or fix the wifi.. any help would be appreciated!
Oh ya i forgot to mention.. i already tried to "restore" to stock settings with RSDLite but still.. same problems
Looks like you formatted your modem partition. Look here:
