I just used flashfy to flash it, Its works great!!!! Boots into TWRP recovery with the recovery button combination. :good:
Just did a cache and dalvik cache wipe and android is upgrading upon reboot.
Now time to make a backup!

flashed it with odin and it worked well but what to flash lol

Well one step closer to easy flashing for us anyways!
Check out that backup time.....

Flashed it on mine using flashify. Works great. Now we wait for Roms and kernels.
Wow at that backup time.

Have you guys rooted by flashing SuperSU?
Can you check if your device still goes in to deep sleep after rooting?
The guys over at the S6 Edge section are saying to get deep sleep working again after rooting, we have to reflash the stock recovery. Does anyone know where to get that file for the regular S6, or is it the same as the Edge?
EDIT: yeah, it looks like custom recoveries are breaking deep sleep. For now, if you just want root and need deep sleep, you can reflash the stock recovery after rooting. If you need a guide, here's a quick one I wrote up: http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-galaxy-s6/general/guide-enable-deep-sleep-rooting-t3080833

Mine seems do be deep sleeping well with root and twrp recovery, I lost 3% battery in 7hrs while sleeping. I had data, location and sync on also.

I am personally waiting for chainfire's latest tool which is flashfire. Let's you flash roms/kernels/updates without the need of a custom recovery. It's an improved mobile Odin

Ahhhh man that sounds sweet!

I odin'd TWRP and lost deep sleep. I've since flashed stock recovery and deep sleep is back.

Will this work on the S6 Edge (G925T)?

Only one way to find out and flash it, make sure you have stock firmware for Odin before trying it. Root for the 920T worked for the edge so it might work.

The word from the edge forums is that it does work but there are graphical glitches so might want to wait for an update.

Is there anyway to get root without a computer? Thanks

Newly Rooted 4.4.2 - Only boots to recovery

Okay guys so I just rooted my att note 3 that was completely up to date using the towelroot.com method found here. Stupidly of me I was trying to follow a thread to change my system language in build.prop but after doing that It ONLY boots to recovery / safestrap. After the safestrap screen I tell it to continue to boot normaly and all i get after that is a black screen.
Any ideas? Is it possible to flash safestrap from odin / heimdall / recovery?
Ive tried factory resetting from safestrap and recovery and that didn't change anything.
I not even sure I have safestrap at this point I can get into recovery, and download mode but it sits at the "Samsung Galaxy NOTE 3 [Unlocked Icon] Custom" screen. It wont actually progress to the safestrap.
Before I tried to edit that build.prop the root / safestrap worked fine all day today, restarted several times for different reasons and still worked afterwards.
I had no encryption enabled.
Via recovery -
"Android system recovery <3e>
KOT49H.N900AUCUCNC2"
**** This Worked ****
Possibly? this as a fix?
Would this be okay to use as a stock Kitkat firmware resource for an Odin flash?
Anyone have a N900AUCUCNC2 ROM or firmware I can flash?

i have the .zip files for it and odin 3
*it sounds to me like a bootloop or a softbrick, I would recommend using this odin 3 and flash the stock kk rom the one i have is the unofficial and is pre-rooted. but it works when i bricked mine repeatedly trying roms.

That'd be awesome if you could get that to me some how. I more or less have everything fixed but the wake-up after entering my pattern lock is ungodly slow so I'd like to possibly try a different one.

HELP! Tried CF-Root on 5.1.1

Rooted SM-T810 not booting

Hi,
On Wednesday I rooted my SM-T810 (with Android 5.0.2) with cf-autoroot and after that I installed TWRP from this XDA forum.
I took a Nandroid backup and then I installed the CM12.1 root from T_I.
It worked perfectly.
But now after I switch the tablet off and on it doesn't get past the Samsung screen.
I can go to download mode and I then I am able to flash cf-autoroot again with Odin.
After that it starts up, but the problem occurs again the next time I power the tablet off.
I can flash the tablet with a Samsung firmware from SamMobile, but I also have a LG G4 and an older Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 both with CM, so I really would like to keep using CM.
Any ideas how to fix this?
Disable cm root in developer settings.
No, that didn't work either.
I reflashed a sammobile image, but still the same issue.
Then I installed twrp 3.0 and could boot to it (through download mode).
I reinstalled CM12.1 and it works as long as I don't switch the tablet off.
Unfortunally I cannot return it, because of the knox trip counter.

Yes, that didn't work.
I think it cannot erase the volumes back to stock?
ok, I fixed it by restoring the full Nandroid backup.
It is booting and working again.
I think it must have been an issue with the boot image or so.
I'll start over with CM12.1 next weekend...

I didn't expect that that would fix this boot problem, because this restore already has superSU installed.

A nandroid almost always fixes the issue if it was made from a working system.

Marshmallow kernals

Are their currently any kernals which support marshmallow now? I installed emotions kernals but the wifi doesn't work and I do not know how to get back to stock kernel.

Using an N910t3 I flashed emotion MM rc25 , confirmed wifi didn't work, tried the data fix it put me in a bootloop, luckily I had made a complete backup in TWRP and restored it already, just want to warn anyone else before they try it.
You should keep A backup of the original the "boot" partition in twrp. In TWRP>Backup>select "boot" only. That keeps the stock kernel.
I haven't tested any alternative kernels personally.
I feel that the stock MM kernel is doing great.
MM works fine. I'm waiting for MM kernel
I had a few problems with Marshmallow but finally installed the latest PG2. My phone N910T boot looped and caused some problems but eventually I finally had a working 6.0.1 stock. I installed TWRP and SuperSU SYSTEMLESS and used the phone for 2 days.
I tried flashing Beastmode and Emotion kernels but neither worked and I was stuck in a boot loop. Eventually I tried to reinstall stock without a wipe as this always works and keeps my apps etc.
The stock said the md5 checksum was invalid even though it was the same file from 2 days earlier. To fix this I removed the file extension, preventing it from doing the MD5 check and attempted to install. It bricked my phone as the process appeared to stop at halfway and I aborted. I found modem and bootloader files for PG2 and took a shot at installing them. I got to another bootloop.
I tried the stock tarfile again and was a little more patient this time. The previous delay was only a few minutes long. It installed succesfully. I Installed TWRP with ODIN, followed by a systemless root in recovery mode.
I'm currently waiting for MM kernels. I hope my little adventure helps somebody else on their journey.

Why is there no chatter about the EPF1 update?
I've been scanning the boards and not much about it... It appears to just to be simple Android Security Update, yet no one has really said anything about it..

I updated, but haven't noticed much of a difference. Apparently it adds an anti-theft feature that requires you to enter your google login information before it will let you reset the phone.
I can't wait for someone to root it.

Anyone having an issue with this update? I went back to stock for this update, then tried to apply TWRP, and the recovery doesnt stick, stays with the android default.
Edit: nvm...
I was afraid of this.. It may because of the new Secure Bootloader that if something isn't signed by Samsung or T mobile.. It may flash, but then buffer out and not install..

What are you guys talking about?
This update shouldn't prevent flashing a recovery, nonetheless be able to boot into download mode/odin mode and flash an older firmware.
I am downloading this atm, let me know if I am wrong.

Yes TWRP sticks.
Root works fine.
I am guessing a custom kernel would work fine, provided it is based on this firmware.
I am not going to test any as I have no need for a custom kernel.

But yes, Root + TWRP + Custom Kernel + Xposed (v85+) works with this update.
Just to clarify, rooting and flashing twrp and supersu with this update on the tmobile galaxy s6 wont brick? I keep hearing that my bootloader is locked and i cant root with this build on my phone.
Edit: what is the best way to root? i keep hearing that i should flash a cf auto root file instead of twrp.

Hey, sr. For some reason it will not let me reboot to bootloader, can you help, or anyone?
Press the Power Key, Volume Down, and the Home Key at the same time while the device is powered off, that should put you into download mode..
Mind you that there is no official root method for EPF1, you can flash TWRP and then SuperSu to establish root
