[Q] lost network connection

my note worked fine yesterday morning. i turned it off and restarted it to update my email box. it then would not register on the network - for calls or sms as well as 3G. normally the phone prompts for the pin code upon restart but now asks for nothing just restarts without any network connection. when i go to the network connection settings it finds the networks that i should be able to connect to but when i request connection it says unable to connect, please try again later. the sim card works fine in other phones so it's not the sim card and other sim cards have the same problem in this phone. help!

did you flashed a custom rom? try to flash another modem, check my signature!

Try enabling airplane mode for 5 minutes after you turn the phone on... When you disable it your signal could be ok..
Or try enabling airplane mode, and then reboot the phone... After the reboot disable the airplane mode...

[SOLVED] Data connection not working properly

Hello, I got an xperia z three weeks ago and it has always worked perfectly until yesterday: I'm experiencing strange mobile data connection issues. I can surf the web but if I disconnect and connect again, the connection may freeze: the H icon (or g or e..) appears and phone seems to transmit data as it shows an up arrow but the down arrow never appears and I can't surf the web. Toggling data and airplane mode may allow me to connect successfully but it's always pretty random..
I started thinking it was a software issue.. So i flashed The phone with the utility twice.. No success. Carrier issue? Nope: it's all ok and apn settings are ok as I can use them. Hardware issue? Perhaps as I found out that removing the SIM card and inserting it back in a certain way could make the difference (higher rate of successful connections).. So what do you think? Could be the SIM card (I got a new one in December though), the phone or something I did not consider? Sadly I can't test a different SIM now but as soon as I can find one, I will try. Thank you!

Does it happen while your using the device or when it's sleeping you turn device back on? I also have sort the same issue but with WiFi..

Ok.. I found out the cause.. It is the carrier.. They said itwas all ok but many are reporting my same issues in my country.. So not fixed yet but I can stop flashing my phone twice a day.

3G data issue

Picked up my z1 few weeks back.. Love the phone.. Have a strange issue with 3g...
I keep losing data and there would be no Internet.. I have to reboot my phone everytime whem it stopa working and after a while again the problem comes up.
Have tried factory resetting as well.. No help.
Running on everything stock, phone not even rooted. Running 257

Any such issue with your old phone? It might be your network operator.. Also try repairing with Sony Update Service or PC Companion...

How old is your sim card and is it an lte sim? I used to get that problem on my HTC magic and changing the sim card cleared it up

Try setting your phone manually to 3G or less mode

Turn off all data connections.
Reboot phone
Turn mobile data on by itself and see what you get
Turn mobile data off and wait, then turn LTE on and then mobile data, see how you go.
Sometimes the switch between 3G/H and LTE can cut out your connection (although it should be seamless)
If you want to use LTE then turn it on before you turn on your mobile data.
If this doesn't work then i would query your sim and then your phone.

fill in the APN setting of your carrier in the phone.

Xperia z1 fails to connect

Hey, im having an really annoying issue on my z1, sometimes it fails to connect to internet, I have full bars of connection and 3G or 4G sign next to it, but still nothing happens. I have tried putting it on airplane Mode and then taking airplane Mode off and triggering data connection off and on but they dont seem to help. It takes a while and then it starts working again for some time. My Z1 is completly stock and non rooted. And this is a few weeks old phone

Backup ur data and Repair your Firmware by PC Companion
if it s about Software repairing will solve it
but if problem remains after repair there might be a problem in hardware so need to take to official service

Not being able to use mobile data whilst roaming is on/ can't turn roaming off

I have got a xiaomi mi 5.
I have gone to a different country for two weeks and bought a sim to use abroad. For the first few days everything worked fine, but all of a sudden the r symbol came on at the top (I believe it means roaming) and I am unable to use my mobile data. When trying to test my connection it says I must turn roaming off to use mobile data.
The problem is I have turned integration roaming on and off and nothing has changed. I've turned my phone on and off, restored it to factory settings, let it run completely out of battery and nothing has worked as of yet.
Has anyone got any ideas of what I can do?
