hello to all,
thanks in advance to all that read and try to help me,
replaced complete screen unit - LCD, touch, and outer glass
after replacing the unit and reassembling the phone the LCD will not come on.
what the phone does do is when i press the power button and only the lights under the home, back and menu buttons light up but go off as soon as i let go the power button. if i keep the power button pressed any longer the lights start to blink. when they start blinking they will go off as soon as i let go the power button if i keep the power button pressed long enough the lights go out on their own. after they do i release the power button and within a few seconds the vibrator cycles one time
i plugged the charger in and the red led light came on and stayed on for a good while then turned to green. i press the power button and only the lights under the home, back and menu buttons light up but go off as soon as i let go the power button. if i keep the power button pressed any longer the lights start to blink. when they start blinking they will go off as soon as i let go the power button.
so this where i am right now. please help if you can and thanks again

Ok, so I'm tired of having to hit the button in the top left to turn the black light on - is there a way to have it so that if you hit an assigned button the light will turn on? I hate when it goes out while I'm on the phone, so I wanted to be able to hit the middle button and turn the light back on. Any suggestions?
My Z1 will not work properly with my Garmin GPS. I need the GPS to manage calls when on a motorcycle. I really don't want to re-build my phone unless completely necessary (and especially not if there is an inherent compatibiliy issue!). So, I was wondering whether the hard reset using the "hidden" button was the same as powering off and on. If it's a deeper process, I'll give it a go and see whether my issues are resolved.
Thanks

Red button and power botton is not the same.
1. Red button doesn't properly shut down your phone (umount filesystems, wait for application finished correctly etc)
2. Red button make "deeper" shutdown. I find it when trying to fix problem with charging. No power button or power+vol combination helps, only red button do.
It seems like you cut off power cable on your computer, when red button pressed

red button and volume + and power do the same thing
Its just like pulling the battery out.
The power button on my LG G Flex is not working correctly.
The power button will turn on the phone every time however it will not turn off the phone (turn off the screen). I have to double tap the screen to turn it off.
When the home screen (or some kind of app) is illuminated and I press the power button the volume raises.
I know the up volume and the power button are close to each other and knowing this I really try to precisely press the power button and not the volume button however I cannot get the power button to turn off the screen.
If I hold the power button down for 10 seconds I can get the "Power off in 5 seconds" screen to appear.
I believe it is a SOFTware issue.
Any suggestions???
THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've been charging the tablet for 4 hours. It still has a black screen that says fast boot in small letters. This didn't happen with the other one I purchased.
Does anyone have any advice? I want to give it to my daughter tomorrow!
Help!
If you've not been doing anything with it connected to a computer to install things I think you've accidentally pressed volume down when pressing the power button to turn it on.
If so press the power button until it turns off and then turn it back on with hands away from volume controls.
Hopefully just that
Hi all,
I have a weird problem with my Z1. The power button is broken for a few months and when i press volume up, phone takes this command as if i pressed power button. Or even combination of them. I've used volume up button instead of the power button to wake up my Sony. So I thought the importance of its charging and I have never let it shut down as a result of low battery. Because I did not know how to power on it again.
But,
Today I wanted to shut it down, so i pressed volume up; the menu came after volume rising, I pressed "power off". But guess what? It restarted! I tried this a lot. I even tried the red button but there is nothing. It restarts and restarts and restarts... After pressing red button, it vibrates 3 times and after a second it vibrates one more time and Sony logo comes up...
I've learned that I can open it anytime but than if I want to shut it down, what should I do? I could wait until the battery ends for now but this situation makes me so sick that I want to learn the solution. So, please help me. What can I do with this stubborn?
