Safe to remove bloatware from 5.0.2(Lolipop) - Xperia Z2 Android Development

So since i couldn't find it any toughs on what is safe to remove on lollipop
Also does anyone have any experience with exposed - as in is it worth the hassle installing it on lolipop yet or there is not much working in terms of modules.

What do you need exactly?

I presume you are asking for exposed.
Well I`d like the UI tuneuup for instance - i.e. the one that gives you hidden apps option and changes the dpi
Maybe the camera tune up.
Things like that

The DPI of the display is how many physical pixels there are in one inch square of the phones screen, software cannot change this.
There may be software that could possibly force the phone to use a lower resolution, but i'm not sure why you would want that.

Hi, Thx for the reply, there are few apps in the plays store that can change the DPI, But many will brick the phone, I had seen few people chaining the DPI of Xperia Z to make sure there will be extra info displayed on the screen that u dont need to scroll, Also that i want this is be same as my previous phone's DPI

I got bricked after using an app.
If you're rooted you can edit the build.prop yourself, or use Xposed to control each app separately.

There are plenty of other good rom`s to choose from and try atm
There is, xenon 9 is really stable but vanir is similar in features and has crazy speed tweaks, also its the only ROM I know of with the .25x animation speeds
New build!
http://www.emccann.net/nuclearmistake/VanirAOSPNightlies/mako/_FILE_LIST_.html
Surprisingly i fixed the phone issue with flashing the no in call volume fix for t mobile lte and the GPS doesn't reboot, maps just hangs

Hey guys, since i have not yet reached the limit for posting in the development forums I might as well post here since the title matches. What are the differences between the DHO and Nuclear builds? I am sorry if its in the original thread somewhere, I tried to look for it.

Usually, the only difference is that they're built by different people. They might have small little local changes, but all in all your not really missing out on flashing on over the other.

Thanks man, i tried it and only difference seems to be the theme, rest looks the same. I have troubles with the inbuilt torch in both cases though. It doesnt want to shut down and keeps turning on.

I just set torch to the long press on one of my nav keys. Doesn't turn on/off by itself when I do that.

Also have any of you guys tried some other kernel along vanir? I am sure many of you did, the question is - Did u get the inbuilt performance manager to work with some other kernels? I m currently using AKs kernel and I always get FCs when trying to open the app.
Vanir - Android 7.1.2
vanir_mako_7.1.071917.zip
First Vanir with Android 7, which finally managed to run me.
This ROM uses the kernel lineage.
In addition, it is very underdeveloped, because it does not work properly debugging, so you can not connect through adb and install applications.
There is also no possibility of a normal apk installation (message: Package installer has stopped).
I checked and I can confirm that the navigation buttons work very well in Vanir ROM, for Nexus 4 with an inactive touch pad at the bottom of the screen.
I can add a ROM to the compatibility list.

I'm using vanir 7-31-17 build with open gapps pico magisk v13.3 and quanta reborn kernel
package installer works just fine as for adb I don't have a computer right now to test that with are you purposely steering people away from this ROM for some reason?

Thank you for your attention. My opinion was premature.
I installed ROM again (the same file without re-downloading) and adb works normally.
Installation through
Settings -> Storage -> Explore
also works as it should.
Probably the first installation was damaged.
Unfortunately, I have to retract my opinion regarding the operation of navigation buttons on the inactive bottom of the touch screen.
Previously I tested on my second N4, where the inactive touch screen I have in the middle of the screen.

Why arent there any systemui mod for 4.2.2

Hi Everyone.
I'm just curious I don't know any modification or development of any roms or mods. I just wanna know why aren't there anyone who makes mods for systemui for any stock 4.2.2. I know that 4.2.2 have a builtin quick settings but it's not that good. I mean brightnes settings can only be set with two options and no flashlight option.
Im just putting it out there hope you can enlighten me guys.
Thanks!

Ride it like you downhill it.
Because it takes a few hours to resign the system ui and getting it to work. And if you made a mistake you have to unpack again, and resign again, taking hours and hours of your time. Sony system ui can't just be repacked unfortunately, so most people don't want to take the effort

FYI Xposed Framework on MJA

Just wanted to give an fyi that Xposed Framework and Wanam are working on MJA. I haven't tested everything but the options I personally use are all working.

Here are all the Xposed Modules I use: Wanam, Disable Samsung Lockscreen Notifications, Maximize Widgets, Notification Mod, Snapshare and XHaloFloatingWindow.... anyone use any of those (obviously we know Wanam works) but for all the others it'd be nice to know before I make the jump to MJA. Still on Sac's v7.1!
Xui mod also working seconds on time and battery bar and nexus 7 animations...yea 4.3 mja...

Could use a little help, I am looking for some of the mods that can be done with out flashing a new ROM.
I am new to samsung (HTC from day one) and am trying to get up to speed on my new s4 .
Do you guys have any links?
Were/are Xposed mods not supposed to be working with MJA? I've been using Wanam and a few others for weeks now with absolutely no problem - maybe it's just what mods/options I'm using haha?

You fave stock KitKat XPOSED Modules?

well then!
me and my friends are mostly unimaginative and only use GravityBox!
i was wondering what else everyone else is using and why?
lets go!
I only use one other module besides GravityBox: NFC LockScreenOff Enabler so I can use my nfc tags with the screen off...works great.

Hi,
Take a look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2327541.
Who needs custom roms if there is Xposed and modules such as gravitybox.
The whole flash a 150mb rom everyday to get X or Z new feature is gone for me. Stock 4.4 and xposed is the way to go.
Xposed is such a univeral way of modding android, I simply dont want anything else. More devs should move on to xposed I think.
Gravitybox is so universal for aosp it is a custom rom on itself based on all features it packs.

Xposed puts a huge drain on my battery. That's why people flash the custom roms or at least why I do.

Xblast and GravityBox
Currently using:
AppOpsXposed - To enable App Ops on 4.4.2 stock.
GravityBox - To give me customization options that I enjoy and have become used to.
Greenify - App wakelock control, experimental features.
Intelli3G - Intelligent radio control, enable 2G when on WiFi, 3G when not on WiFi, etc. This one is new on my list, still trying it out but it's a favorite battery saver and appears to work great .
First 3 are current favorites and the last one I'm trying out but I think it may be a keeper.

+1 same here using stock with xposed and gravity box, I no longer see the need to flash custom ROM.
IMHO this is the new way to customise Android!

xPosed doesn't do anything to your battery. It's the mods you install that are causing the battery drain.
Gravitybox right now. That's about it. Wish the back button hold to kill worked properly. I miss that from CM.
