So im running rooted fw .77 US variant on my 5803 but and realised that iso settings doesnt work on my camera at all. I use 15 mpx -20 mpx all the time in manual, and when I change to like 8 mpx, it unlocks other and higher iso settings but doenst seem to apply them either. I have tried two different fw of .77, US and central europe, but in central europe version i get really low battery performance and settings doesn't save when changing them.. And I dont want to go on lollipop just yet.

Hi,
My girlfriend just bought a new P9. She took some pictures but there are some problem. In manual setting with high ISO there are a lot of noise and there are few green lines. Even in automatic settings quality of pictures are very poor. Could be an hardware problem? Is it possible to try with another camera App? Any suggestion?
Thank you!
ISO
Hello, I'm new on here but you mean Pro mode? I don't usually mess around with those settings, but i increased the ISO on my camera and it becomes abit grainy so I'm sure it's normal, i will attach the photo, the green lines you mention of im sure you can fix by just a reflash of the firmware or doing a factory reset. It's a great phone, i love it, best phone i ever had, can't wait for the Huawei p10.
Tomorrow I'll try to restore the phone. I read that there are a new firmware, L09C432B136. Now the phone has the L09C02B127 (its a Vodafone P9). Is it possible to install latest firmware over this?

You update the software by going to settings and the choose UPDATE from the bottom of the scroll.

Photos taken with highest available ISO are poor quality on every device, even newest dSLR.
In auto mode the quality is even worse due to greater amount of postprocessing - like noise reduction and sharpening.
When you are using Pro Mode, pictures never will be taken (and showing) as what you see on the phone screen. When you are using Pro Mode, you must use "correct" (maybe perfect) settings for your photograph.
Some of pro settings are can not effect in real-time when you take a photo, this is very normal for pro / like DSLR settings.
A problem with Bokeh mode
Hi guys, I got my P9 about a week ago, and had this issue after the first day or so since using it. So the problem is that in bokeh mode, the aperture size in bokeh mode would not adjust properly. When I tap on the screen to focus, it would do so then the aperture icon would disappear as well as the slider to adjust the depth of field.
Recently I forgot my passcode, and factory resetted the phone, and tested the camera. It was working fine, until the problem arised again. This issue was also in the gallery, where you re adjust the depth of field, and the icon would disappear, but can still be adjust by sliding next to where the icon 'used to be'.
Has anyone got this problem as well?
Hi, I bought a P9 that is yet to arrive but the other day I was using my friends P9 and wanted to try the camera in pro mode (which is the mode that I use the most on my phones) and I noticed that after some speeds, when playing with shutter speed, the viewfinder image just stops updating the amount of light that should enter ie. I'm indoors with artificial light and if I set the speed to the fastest posible the viewfinder does not go black (and it stops showing the differences in lightning way before the fastest shutterspeed). Same goes the other way, if I set the speed to a ver very low one the viewfinder does not end up looking white, so it makes this feature useless cause the only way I have to see if I'm using the correct speed is to take the shot and then open the picture to see if it was the correct speed. I noticed this happening also in the Huawei Mate 8. I'm used to the LG G4 wich every step of the shutter speed shows a difference in lightning in the image your watching. Is there a way to fix this? does this happend with every Huawei phone? I haven't got the phone yet but I'm already thinking of selling it and getting an S7
I am also coming from an LG G4 and found the lack of feedback in terms of how much light I get by changing different setting, as I major drawback. To answer your question: yes, all Huawei phones seem to lack this feature. The only option is to take a shoot at that setting and adjust back and forth, per the exposure you see on the picture taken.

thanks a lot, I'm really going to miss G4's camera app along with it camera quality so I think I'm gonna sell the p9 as soon as I get it and get an S7, the pro mode in a camera is way too important to me to withstand this Huawei bug like behavior =/
If you lock the shutter speed, then by changing to different ISO values you get a good feedback on the live screen related how much light gets in. But unfortunately does not work the other way around which is equally important, to lock the ISO and play with shutter speed. So it`s a half of drawback but still annoying.
Does anybody know which sensor does the P10 use? Is it the same Sony IMX286 in the P9 or a newer one?
Google did not came up with anything...
Bump
IMX286 (12M color) and IMX350 (20M mono)
front may be IMX319
someone goes to customer service center and get this report
Are you sure it's from the Huawei P10. The P10 is supposed to have lpddr4 ram. And i think that the IMX319 is a 22 mp sensor.

1. it seems no other phone use IMX 319
2. lpddr4 is just a "supposed" .
now ,in china huafans club ,many users test and find it to be lpddr3
test method refer to this post

Hi,
I'm evaluating buying this phone but I would like to use for low light photography among several things. I read an article saying, on the P9, that shutter speeds go from 1/4000 down to 30 secs. Is this also equal in the P10? Because nobody says those specs of min and max shutter speeds and in one page I found it doesn't get too low values, and I wonder if Huawei lowered the specs form P9 to P10. This is appart from Light Painting which I understand is a software mode.
Could someone with this phone give me this information of speeds?
Many thanks!
Leandro.

Excellent information!!
Thanks Paul!
Also
P10 has ois
P9 doesn't have ois
Since you are interested in low light photography
I'm using the latest version for Huawei Mate 10 Pro. It's the US version with single sim. Model is BLA-A09.
I usually do low light photography on my other phone using like 1-30 seconds shutter speed with a tripod. I tried doing this with latest software update on the Huawei Mate 10 Pro. Manual mode doesn't seem to see any difference
I tried using auto on shutter speed with ISO 50 and notice it would be capped at 1/12. Cover the lense for complete darkness it will stay at 1/12. Also aim the camera towards the light to test if the auto work and it would increase the speed to 1/48 .
I really want shutter speed slower than 1/12. The options are there but they don't work.
Use Pro mode.
Auto mode will note give you a shutter speed slower than 1/10 of a second. Use Pro mode instead and make sure to properly set iso and shutter speed
Sorry I meant I already did Pro mode with manual settings. That's what I said earlier.
I notice the 1/12 or slower is the same. No matter how long the shutter time is it will look the same as 1/12. Picture should be brighter with 30 seconds but it looks the same as 1/12.
Huawei phone is still dark at 30 seconds and Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe settings at 32 seconds is very bright. My Canon EOS 5d Mark II easily does the same thing.
Well, that's not right. 4 second shutter time overexposes of it's not very dark.
Hey guys, there's a weird issue that I wanna check with you guys. Anyone with XQ-AT52 SEA firmware Android 11?
I manage to flash from XQ-AT52 from HK firmware Android 10 to SEA firmware Android 11. Everything works perfectly fine except 1 weird issue. Every single time I open the camera with any apps (regular camera app, photo pro, cine pro, social media apps), the 24mm lens (3rd lens) will adjust itself with a noticeable click sound. When I try *#*#service#*#* and check main camera, shows camera not connected. But the camera works perfectly fine.
Just wanna check, is it an issue with Android 11? or did i miss something when I flash the firmware?
I'm on XQ-AT51 and have that sound from Android10 on. That seems to be normal. What is more surprising, that it wasn't there before on your phone... Maybe you never noticed.
I see. Just like you said, maybe I never noticed until I flashed a new firmware and will eventually pay more attention and more sensitive to the sound until I realised it. But still, service menu shows main camera not connected. Maybe Android 11 issue? Anymore on Android 11 can try and see?
I know if you got a phone from Japan they all make it click its to stop skirting not sure if the other Asian countries would do the same
