I have tried to extract the boot.img using many guides on it but yet the boot.img isn't suitable to be create as a flashable zip. I'm planning making a modified V10E root stock which I already have the stock recovery partions made by twrp. Please help me with this; I would enjoy help on this.

Hello !!
I have a LG Thrill P925G Rooted + CWM Im getting tired of CWM and want to remove it ? is there any possible way i can remove it without bricking my phone ? I Want It To Go Back To Stock Everything
Please If Someone Can Help Me With This Situation
- ROM MANAGER IS NOT GOOD
Either flash back to stock using whatever tool you used to upgrade to ICS or you can try twrp recovery.
Twrp is my favorite. You can use the aio tool listed in the android development section to get to twrp. Doesn't list a stock recovery to flash in the aio tool.

I am wishing to sideload a stock update.zip of the latest JB firmware for the Atrix HD. All I have is fastboot and stock recovery. I've been trying to flash the sbf and all I've had is trouble. How can I go about converting an sbf (or xml.zip) into an update.zip?
Thanks!
Edit: sorry, this wasn't appropriate for the dev section. I am really looking for an update.zip that can be flashed from stock recovery, or an update binary so I can make my own.
Wrong section.

So I received my Razr I today and it already has JB on it
So I was wondering, any chance that I could downgrade it to ICS?
From what I've read on xda and some German forums it did work for some people...
I'm referring to this threat:

So in the end, is it possible or not?
Thanks in advance!
Yes, you should definitely be able to do this. You need to install a custom recovery on to your device to start with. I think the ROM Manager app on the Play Store supports your device. If you download it you can flash CWM Recovery onto your device. Then you need the zip file for the ICS stock firmware which can be found easily by Googling it (I've already seen it so it exists). Once you've moved the zip file on to your SD card, boot into recovery and install the zip file and you should be back to ICS stock.

Well I have the files and everything (RSDlite) but from what I've read there might be a problem flashing the fastboot files...
He talked about flashing over CWM and not with RSD-Lite...

But for CWM I need root, for root I need unlocked BL and I don't have it and also don't want to unlock my BL.
So, locked BL JB -->locked BL ICS
Then you must stay with unrooted JB. Downgrade to ICS with RSD is not possible afaik.

I was just wondering why nobody has bothered making a flashable ZIP of the stock ROM. It would be super great if someone could make one because it would be so much easier to just flash the ZIP using TWRP instead of flashing the factory image which wipes everything.
I am sorry I dont know apart from flashing a ROM. Hence the request
That's what twrp backup is for.do a trwp backup on stock and you have a stock image for yourself. Do that before flashing anything.
I'd love to have a stock zip file to flash from twrp. A 5.0.2 port would be wonderful

I agree a stock zip would be great. I had issues with twrp and wasn't able to get a good backup. I ended restoring from someone else's twrp backup.

OK guys and gals I need help with a kernel flashing problem. I want to take the kernel from a rom and use it in another rom. I'm not going to name roms just that they are compatible roms. Here's what I did. I extracted the boot.img file from a rom. Then boot in twrp and flash the img file then flashed supersu 2.79. Reboot but I always get stuck in bootloop. What am I doing wrong?

Then it would appear that the kernel is unsupported on the other rom, for example you can't take a stock kit Kat roms kernel and use it with CyanogenMod roms. However without logs, no one is going to really be able to tell you what's really wrong..
