My Facebook app won't stay open now. I've tried clearing the cache, force stop and even uninstalling it. This just started last week.
Anyone else experiencing this? Can I fix it?

Uninstall the latest update and see if that helps. FWIW, the Facebook app is a huge resources and battery drain. If you can, consider just using the mobile site. It will have a noticeable, positive difference on your device.

Up until yesterday it was working well for me. This morning though I noticed it was gone and the stock keyboard was back. I tried reopening the app and it force closed. I uninstalled it, and installed it again from the play store and it keeps doing much of the same. I switched roms even and with a full wipe, re installed it and yet it still keeps force closing. Any ideas on how to fix this?
Thanks!

Just trying to get attention to the issue, nothing more. The app force closes for me no matter where it is located.
I have the same issue. Was working fine, not any more. Reinstalling doesn't help.
Anybody else having this issue? I cant figure out what is causing it all the sudden. I did not do anything different to the phone. Touchwiz just started crashing a lot out of the clear blue. I even did a factory data reset to try to fix it and that did not help at all. I am wondering if it is being caused by some kind of recent app update? Maybe system webview? That has caused problems for me before with other apps.

Mine just started doing the same thing the other day and it is pretty persistent.
This was happening to me too. I was using a material design theme. Resetting the theme to the default and then back to the one I wanted seems to have temporarily resolved the issue. It's only been a few hours, but no crashes so far. I'll update this if I start getting crashes again.
Same Problem, it started after i did a bunch of update requests.
Yep...here too

Are any regular S6 owners experiencing this?
It happened to me again once about an hour ago. It is less persistent after re applying my theme.
OK guys are all of you running package disabler pro? I have been running it since day one with no issue. Since disabling it I have not had any further problems. Apparently a recent update caused some sort of issue.

I had package disabler installed but no apps disabled with it. I have now uninstalled it and will see if anything changes.
Still persists after removing package disabler. Hope this gets resolved soon.

Yup same here. Worked fine after re enabling everything for a while them bam it struck again. So its not package disabler. I am at a loss. Even starting fresh didnt help it. It is apparently not anything we are doing but a samsung issue instead.
Strangely enough, the problem seems to have resolved itself.
I noticed a bug in the YouTube app on my device (note 8 SM-N950F).
while a video is playing if I minimized the movie and then maximized it (quickly few times in a row) the phone crash to boot.
I didn't face any kind of crash in the month I have it except this scenario in the youtube app .
the app version 12.44.53
as you can see :

anyone else can try and report ?
thanks
I have had the same thing. It would just randomly crash out and reboot my phone when minimising/maximising videos from the little preview window when scrolling.

I manage to find more info by trying diffrent things. I think maybe it's memory management bug. If the device is fresh from boot with nothing else running then it won't crash. But with some apps open in the background then it always happens. not randomly at all.
Did you solved it?

It happens so rarely that I haven't really done anything about it. It will happen out of the blue one day and won't show up for weeks. I have gone on the Samsung Members app and it detected an unexpected reboot which it reported to Samsung so maybe they will fix it eventually.
Same thing for me. Happened already 3 times. While resizing the window or passing from portrait to landscape.

I have same problem like you. Whenever there is an apps running in the background, it will crash. I happen rarely for me but this week, youtube and instagram crash 4 times already each. Yea most likely its Ram management.

I've checked now and it won't crash. I don't know if it's related but Yesterday I've installed the latest OTA update (which was the first since I've got my unit). Any way it's seems fixed as far as i can see. Didn't do anything except updating all my apps and the unit itself to the latest version available. If it will happen again I'll keep you update.

Same, i also got the first update on my Note8 yesterday too.
Hey everyone I'm at wits end trying to figure this out. More I know something is not right then the fact I'm not getting notifications. However, I'm on the Oreo beta and have flashed back to stock as well. I do not get notifications from Facebook. I have fully wiped the phone in recovery with cache as well. It's the only app with the issue I can see. I put my FB account on an old S5 and it works great. I know the factory wipe doesn't really get rid of all the data. Is there anything I can do or anyone with a similar issue that has fixed this? Everyone I open the app it refreshes like it went to sleep but I have turned off app monitor for it.
Anyone else having Instagram Failing suddenly on Note 8? I've seen some YouTube people say it's been in the last few minutes too. Only thing that works for me is to clear data, then re log in, but if I close it, it starts forceclosing again with the "Instagram has stopped". Any permanent solutions?

This happened to me on Monday. Instagram kept crashing.
I tried clearing cache and data in the app, deleting and reinstalling... no joy. Finally, after reading a thread about Samsung themes and overlays causing trouble for Instagram, I temporarily restored the default Samsung theme, reinstalled Instagram, and all was fine.
Later, I reapplied my custom Samsung theme and haven't experienced further issues.
There was a known issue with Instagram, server side, that was resolved within a day (hours maybe). People were having issues even installing it or updates from the play store.
