I have a question and would like everybody's feedback. I have been having a lot of issues with Bluetooth on my moto x. Like when I turn my headphones on and they pair up, there will be no audio until I shut them off and turn them on a second time. And this is across multiple headphones. Kernel version is 3.4.42. Build number KXA21.12-L1.29.1 Would be interested to hear if anybody has similar issues? I am having so many issues with Bluetooth now, I am wonder if it is just the Bluetooth technology itself that is not so good?
What ROM are you on? What other apps are you using?
I have almost no issues with Bluetooth on my moto 360 and car.
Sent from my Moto X using XDA Free mobile app
My phone connects easily with my car.
I usually have to toggle my media or phone in BT settings for my headset to work. But I have to do the same thing when connecting to my computer, so it may be a headset issue.
Every phone and tablet I've owned has had something inconsistent with the bluetooth. Works sometimes and sometimes you have to toggle something.

Good day,
I have done a bit of searching on this topic and have not found an answer to a rather surprising issue.
I just got my GNote and have paired it with my Voyager Pro+ AD2P BT headset.
Much to my surprise even though calls and VLingo are routed to my BT headset I come to discover that event notifications are sent to BOTH the GNote's speaker AND my BT headset (with a slight delay\echo as a result).
This to me is not how it should be. All my other phones would totally mute the speaker and redirect ALL sounds to the connected headset automatically, whether it was WM, iPhone, whatever.
In my searches I see others have had the same issues with Android phones.
Am I missing something here?
Is this happening to other GNote owners, be it wired headsets or with BT headsets?
Is there an App that corrects this issue?
Is this a basic Android OS oversight?
I am shocked and can only imagine that I will have to remember to put myphone into silent mode each time I want to use my BT headset and not have notificationscome over the built in speaker. I have yet to try this as I fear it will also silence the notifications sent to my BT headset.
Curious to hear from others on this matter.
Thanks,
I just got my device, and immediatly the first annoyance popped up. I started listening to music through my JayBird BlueBuds X headset, and the audio just stops going to the headset at random times. If I activate the voice dialer and cancel, it will resume for another 2 - 10 minutes before the audio cuts out again. Has anyone had any similar issue?
I am using Google Music only.
Can you see if your buds have a software available. I using 4 Bluetooth devices no issue. My Bose sound link did but after upgrade issue was gone.
BAD ASS NOTE 4
No issues with my bluebud x's like that. Used them for 3 hours straight the other day doing yard work. Try re-pairing or maybe you have some battery management tool stopping bluetooth?
Weird... Its only happebeing with my blue buds. Big Jambox and car Bluetooth don't have the issue.
I'm experiencing the same thing with the same headphones. Except the issue occurs with all of my bluetooth devices.
It is hands down the most unacceptably annoying feature that I can't believe comes bundled with an $800 device.
Anyway in this thread a member suggested turning off S-Health, which kinda sucks. I just did it a few hours ago so I can't verify whether it works or not yet.

so, that should tell you its the headphones, NOT the phones' issue
Hi,
I have a Nexus 6 (stock 5.1, rooted but no other system modifications), a pair of Philips Fidelio M2BT Bluetooth headphones and a Watch Urbane (fully stock). When I connect the headphones to the phone with the watch already connected I get no media sound in the headphones even though they connect successfully. If I look go to the Bluetooth settings the headphones are listed as "Connected (no media)". Sometimes the sound is played on the phone speakers and sometimes nowhere. I can usually get around this by first disconnecting the watch in the Wear app before connecting the headphones and then the watch. Sometimes I also need to turn Bluetooth off and back on before starting to reconnect the devices and sometimes I need to reboot the phone. I've used the phone and headphones together for half a year with no issues whatsoever. Also note that I'm not trying to connect the headphones to the watch but to the phone.
Anyone else seeing similar behavior? Any ideas on how to solve this issue?

I don't have my Urbane yet, so I'm not sure if I can help. But when the phone is connected to the Urbane, can you edit the Bluetooth connection on the phone to ensure that it's not taking audio (I know it doesn't have speaker, but is it taking the Media Audio Profile?)

Thanks for the suggestion but no, the Urbane is listed only as a "raw" Bluetooth device, i.e. there are no check boxes for profiles in it's Bluetooth settings. In fact it's never listed as connected at all in the Bluetooth device list. I figured that this is some kind of Android Wear quirk but it's my first Wear device so I'm not sure.
I have the watch and my bluetooth speaker in the car and I have had no issues using both of them. I also have a third bluetooth USB adapter connected to the USB of my car that allows me to stream music and no issue with it either. I have the OnePlus One with custom firmware running Lollipop 5.1.1
My bluetooth speaker only has "Phone Audio" checked (no other options), the bluetooth USB stick has the "phone audio" unchecked and the "Media Audio" checked, and the Urbane does not have a check mark option.
Try updating the Android Wear app.. they released some update yesterday that might help fix your issue.

Thanks for the info. The new wear app didn't make any difference but the fact that you have a couple of Bluetooth audio devices working flawlessly made me start suspecting my headphones instead of the watch - didn't really know where to start so I picked the watch since it's the latest addition. Searched around a bit and realized that others were having connectivity problems with them too, especially when using them with multiple devices (fantastic headphones in every other aspect). This review was really interesting and the tip about how to reset the headphones did the trick for me. Not a great solution as I probably need to repeat it after using them with other devices than my phone but at least I now know that the watch is not to blame - it was just the trigger for some bug in the crappy headphone Bluetooth implementation.
I've had an intermitten problem with bluetooth connection between my Moto X (xt1058) and 2013 Focus. From time to time, when I try to make calls or receive incoming calls while the phone is connected to the car, no sound comes out. The other party can hear me, but I hear nothing (not even the ring when calling out). Eventually I found if I switch the sound to the ear speaker, I can hear. If I switch to the speakerphone, no sound, either. Simply rebooting the phone solves the problem. However, that's a real nuisance! The strange thing is, I have two xt1058, and both exhibit the same problem. Both are on stock 4.4.4, not rooted.
Has anyone experience this? I don't know if it's the phone or the car. Unfortunately I don't have another car with bluetooth to try, and it doesn't happen all the time. Sometimes it happens a few times a week. Sometimes it's fine for a few weeks in a row. My wife never run into that problem with her iphone.
BTW, the bt connection is only for phone, no media.
Bluetooth issues - phone "hijacks" Spotify control, turns off call-audio on BT devic
BT seems is super annoying. Not sure if it started on the last update (9.1.0.153) or it was happening before as well.
I'm experiencing two issues related to BT:
1. during a call through BT headphones (Bose QC35), the BT profile changes automatically: call-audio is being toggled off, and the headset is no longer being used for the call. Turning it on during the call works for a few minutes and then it toggles off again. Tried to un-pair the device and pair it again.
Might be important to note, I also had a laptop connected to the headphones at the same time, but I definitely didn't have that issue with my previous phone (Xiaomi mi5s) in the same conditions.
2. when using Spotify on a laptop. if the app is also running on the phone, it randomly hijacks the control.
I think it happens only when the phone is connected via BT to a media device, doesn't matter if the laptop is connected to the same one or not. It happens to me in two situations:
a. using BT headphones connected to both the laptop and the phone.
b. when the phone is connected to BT speaker and the laptop is connected by wire to a different set (to an amp via DAC).
in the above scenarios two different laptops are used.
It's really annoying,
Any idea how I can solve this?
Thanks
p.s. device version is VOG-L29, don't know if it matters.
