I'll keep building so long as you guys keep testing Lol, I don't have jem so I can't test. ??
Buttery smooth. Everything installed fine. First boot (obviously) takes a while, but once thats done, everything works awesome.
The Sweetner zip doesnt seem to work though. It loads fine, but touchscreen doesnt register with it. Buttons do. Verified the MD5 and everything checks out. This is on TWRP.
Everything looks good. Reinstalling user apps right now and everything is running good! Thank you!!!

That sounds like you need an updated recovery perhaps.
Firstly thank you for the rom. I would like to give it a try.
However I noticed that it is 14.6mb from the download section.
Can you please confirm that this is the size.
Thanks.

It records the touches.. It just does it wrong. I mean that the screen displays the image in landscape and the digitizer thinks it is in portrait. For example if you want to touch the bottom left part you have to actually touch the top half of the left side of the screen. If you want to scroll vertically you have to slide your finger horizontally.
Thanks for the rom. Have installed it and all seems smooth. However I have noticed that although I have installed the Google Now Launcher, it won't let me use it. Am I missing something?
Thanks

Its seems to be an issue on a lot of devices, I'll look for a workaround in the meantime ?

Been playing with this ROM for 3-4 days and finding it much smoother and more stable than CM12 (LP 5.0.x). Nice job.
Sent from my Amazon Jem using XDA Free mobile app
Port feedback
Brilliant job, man!! The ROM seems stable enough for a daily driver, even from a dirty flash from Hashcode's CM12 port. Just a few bugs:
1) When choosing to show the seconds for the time, the seconds show up after the PM/AM text. The attached screenshot demonstrates this (I used the CandyROM sweeteners for the Adventure Time themed navbar).
2) When I paired my Bluetooth keyboard, I was able to type the pairing code as prompted, but even though Android recognizes it as an input device, I'm not able to type with the keyboard. This issue didn't occur in CM11, but it was prominent in Hash's CM12 ports. Maybe it's a lollipop issue in general?
3) the navigation ring targets look awfully large (also shown in the screenshot). This issue appeared before (and after, as well) I customised the navigation ring targets, and it did not do this in Hashcode's port.
Otherwise, this ROM is excellent for a first port!
EDIT: Adding screenshot link: http://imgur.com/dubEMEH
EDIT 2: I'm cross-posting this from the ROM Q&A forum because I now have over 10 posts. Any plans for an update? ?

Here. Only in aroma, if you want to select the "red1" you have to tap "green1" and so on. Like I said, the layout is in landscape but the digitizer thinks it is in portrait. It was the same with two zips I tried, the sweetener pack from this thread, and some aroma gapps installer.

Scott is working on this mostly himself and does not have a team that is helping him. Before reporting bugs, please make sure you verify everything on your end and make sure you do a full wipe and format first to make sure it is a legitimate issue. Im going to say this once and only once... He is doing this for fun and I am building it for this device. It is our CHOICE to share the work with everyone. If you decide that you do not like it, good for you.. Move on and flash something else.

Wouldn't boot on my P3110. Got past Samsung splash screen, then just sat dark and lit. Reflashed, same issue. Downloading again now to make sure it wasn't a dodgy DL.
I could not get it to boot. Flashed without issue, get past the tab 2 screen, and then blank screen and it just stays blank ?
Am using Beanstalk on my infuse and love it - hope you get this figured out

Perform a FULL factory wipe and wipe /system and dalvik cache as a precaution
Flash BeanStalk build
Flash GAPPs package

After installation go to Settings - Performance - Memory Management - Tick " Allow purging of assets " and reboot.
This is only necessary until I get a memory leak bug figured out. Fixed

Edit: I was trying to take a video of Riley in Call of Duty Ghosts (he's so adorable!) and noticed the video wasn't working. I've posted a build that uses the newest proprietary blobs and it seems to be fixed. If you experience data connection issues, rebooting twice or three times seems to work.

It was posted an hour ago. Not sure what kind of feedback from a ROM you can get in one hour, but best bet would be to flash it and give it a run.
I think deliberate was using the files from jackpotcalvins 4.4 cm build, and this is using dr87's source which I don't think is built using the same source files. (it might be though).

The major difference is that the battery behaves normally. In the Deliberate's version of the ROM, there was a bug that manifested as high CPU usage with SurfaceFlinger, and this bug had nothing to do with what Deliberate did. I think it was a kernel level issue.
With Deliberate's build, I only got about 5 hours battery since the CPU usage was always high (the 4th core was always on, for some strange reason). dr87's kernel sources, which utilize JackpotCalvin's sources, seem to have resulted in the disappearance of this bug. Hence, the MAJOR difference is that this version of Beanstalk is usable as a daily build, because it has a vastly improved battery life.
I was wondering about bluetooth connectivity, I have had an issue with losing the pair between the phone and the car audio system when the screen sleeps.

Can I replicate that by connecting a Bluetooth headset, playing music (via bluetooth), turning off the display manually, and seeing if the music is still playing? I just tried that out and there is no loss in pairing.

Hey, if it works with Malladus, and not with ROMs, I'm pretty sure it's not your car =). If you have any ways to replicate this issue, please do tell!
Seems its happening with the latest C-Rom, which I really like.

Have you, or anyone else that has flashed this really, noticed redraws on signal when in a low service area?
All 4.4 base aosp I've tried as of late has terrible redraws when signal drops and comes back. Crashes anything I open.
Won't have w chance to flash this till this evening.

Thanks for trying to fix the data. Both of us came to the same solution that, oddly, flashing/rebooting twice seems to fix the data issue. No clue why.
Anyone else having issues or not??

I'm still getting the blank screen sporadically after reboot. I get the LG splash screen then nothing, rebooting it again usually fixes it.
Thank you for the ROM. I can't seem to find the link to the GAPPS. Where it says Gapps in the OP it says "see download link below". But in the download link I just see the two beanstalk roms from 5.23.14 and 5.27.14. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I would like to give this a flash and see how it runs. Thanks again!

@chineel - MD5 does not seem to match, can you verify? I D/L twice, and from Google Drive I have never had an issue with errors before...

Nevermind... Sorry, I'm an idiot... it is correct... I can't seem to copy and paste correctly apparently.
First off, thanks for carrying the torch! Was worried I'd have to switch up roms to stay up to date..
I updated just with a dirty flash the minimal gapps package with no issues so far. Everything's running tight and fast.
Big thanks for carrying on with the builds! Newest build running perfectly here so far, no problems at all.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Installed finally with PA standard gapps... So far so good, no issues at all, liking the new build so far.
Did notice one oddity though, the stock kernel is set to a maximum of 1134 Mhz at install. Not an issue, just odd, i bumped it up to 1512 and things really sped up.
No update from Scott yet but I had started playing with Aroma installer If I got success next build may come in two flavor 1) regular update 2) with Aroma Installer.

FYI... did some testing on 4.4.4, this is still required with latest Beanstalk build as Spotify and a few other media apps will force close DSP Manager without it. Not really sure if this needs to be updated or not, it works, but the dspmanager.apk, associated libs and other files embedded in it are kinda old (11/19/2013 build), but I'm not a dev and it still works fine, including all adjustments, so who knows. Also, this seems to be the original thread for the DSP fix: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/themes-apps/app-apollo-dsp-manager-4-4-t2516306
So far this build is the best I have used so far, other than a couple very minor glitches here and there, like the maximum CPU clock set at 1134 Mhz and some repeat toast messages from Superuser (like 50 in a row when HKM makes a change, where SuperSU only shows one or two), this build is the most stable and battery friendly I have seen so far. Using Hellscore b47 CM kernel with all stock settings (except the headset and speaker gains turned up some) and this build I am getting around 2%-3% idle battery drain with everything enabled and synching (Google Now, Location services, etc), very respectable for one of the most feature packed ROMs I have seen out there.
@chineel thanks again for picking up the torch and supplying this ROM, I hope you can eventually get it official so we can get OTA updates in the future as well!
Hi chineel ... Have a lot of thanks for this thread here, this is a great rom and I have this use since 4 days ... I`m very happy with the BeanStalk rom and I have respect for your work, keep it up! :good: I saw that there was an official thread here in the section by He[]razor ... He was probably the official maintainer for this rom, or? What I have to say, your 4.4.4001 build is very good tweaked and I like the integrated tweaks, I`m not a directly developer but my hobby is tweaked the Android ROMs without lags, affecting the battery life or the system stability to deteriorate ... My way is professional tweak the system, lol and I`m learn since 3 years so ... I added only in your rom my build.prop tweaks, Darky Zipalign and zipalign for the data apps ... And now my device with the HD (HellsDoctor) kernel is very fast, buttery smooth and I have no lags, very great  ... Okay chineel, I look forward to your work and I'm excited to see what awaits us ... Maybe we can sometimes work together, we will see ... I wish you a nice Sunday and good luck for the UnOfficial BeanStalk rom!!!
Best regards

Anyone else noticing significant lag in Gmail only? Tapping things like Updates or Forums causes a several second delay before the folder is opened... Probably not a ROM issue, just curious if its just me.

Dirty Unicorns is a custom ROM built with stability in mind and optional customization. The idea to start this ROM began out of pure boredom around 4.1.2 on the EVO 3D and later turned into a form of an addiction (a good one) to see where we could go from there. We have since expanded to more devices to include the HTC One, Nexus 5, SGS4 and many more. We quickly realize that users loved what we were doing as well as other developers because it was done the right way. We've always had fun doing it and take pride in knowing that we've done it without having to bug the end user for donations to pay for server costs and/or any of those sob stories you hear. This ROM is 100 percent free and will remain that way.
Those wanting to use our ROM as a base are more the welcomed to do so but please maintained the credits/thanks below, do not ask for donations as it wouldn't be fair to do so considering and let us know as we often like to contribute to other projects.
As stated above, we love to maintain authorship but we also like to publicly praise those that have helped us along the way with our wonderful project. With that said, this wouldn't be possible without the work and help of those listed below THANK YOU ALL!!

Please check our gerrit/github for full credits/thanks of individual contributorsBelieve it or not, we are human and we do forget things. If we have left someone out of the credit/thanks list, just PM us and we'll gladly add on to the list.

Massive kernel update (~100 commits) will be in the next build.
Also, afaik only thing not working is VOIP mic
is the kernel f2fs compatible or do I still have to use kt or alucard?
Thanks in advance

I already posted a problem at DU site from G+.
My problem is that, when i restart my phone, the theme i applied right before through ThemeChooser is getting reset, just the statusbar stays modded.
The System Settings, all of the themed apps, as well the lockscreen buttons look like non-themed (Holo standart) after restart.
After research on my phone i found out, that it has something to do with xposed framework, I 1st thought it's caused by an module, but i deactivated all of em step by step and rebooted every time and after deactivating the last one still nothing happens, BUT when i uninstall the xposed framework themes works fine after reboot
I post here also cause here is a huge range of people that can read that and maybe someone else has the same problem
Disable the framework and switch in developer options to Art. Runs very much smoother and more responsive

This is an issue across multiple ROMs with the theme chooser. It crept up in the past couple weeks.
It is *extremely* difficult for us to assess issues while xposed is installed.
Essentially, you use Xposed mods at your own risk.
There's no way I can adapt the ROM to work with xposed mods. The mod devs need to conform to the ROM

No worries, i just didn't know what the hell was goin on there, not using a lot of modules but some are just awesome ^^
Keep up your great work, maybe one day there will be a solution
EDIT:
After some more research i found this one here in THIS Thread:

Thank you.
I think I have tracked it down to this commit: https://github.com/CyanogenMod/andr...mmit/8fff544ec349593cfa61ae2f5ec59419fff666b6
The Xposed framework is calling getPackageInfo (actually getPackageInfoNoCheck, which calls it) in order to get an LoadedApk object, which it uses to get the resDir and (most important) the classLoader used by the application. This is called very early (in handleBindApplication). At this time, I assume the theme settings haven't been propagated to the app yet. Also, it's unlikely that this method has been called before.
Anyway, what the commit wants to change is that it can simply recreate the Resources object instead of the whole LoadedApk. That should work fine with Xposed. However, there is another change in logic that might be unwanted. The Resources object is created in any case now. That makes a big difference, because the handleInitPackageResources() hook fires before the handleLoadPackage(), and the Resources object is probably created without theming information.
If the lines were this instead, everything should work as before:
Code:
if (packageInfo.mResources [B][COLOR="Red"]!=[/COLOR][/B] null
[B][COLOR="Red"]&&[/COLOR][/B] !packageInfo.mResources.getAssets().isUpToDate()) {
packageInfo.mResources = null;
packageInfo.getResources(this);
}
It seems to be an oversight to me, because the commit message just says "Instead of creating a new LoadedApk when resources are not up to date, we use the existing LoadedApk but recreate mResources." If mResources == null, no Resources object hasn't been created yet, so it can't be outdated. It doesn't seem necessary to create the object in any case, even if the caller hasn't asked for it (yet).
I would have to go through major hoops to detect and hopefully handle this change. I'd much more prefer if this could be changed in CM. Does anyone know if Clark Scheff / Andy Mast are on XDA to provide some feedback on this? Otherwise, I guess I would have to check out the source to submit a change request, huh? Or if anyone else who could follow my explanations wants to submit this, feel free to do so.

Tried it out, and was really impressed with the rom.... Rock solid, with just those mods that really make it one good rom. Are there plans to include exfat support? Please say yes...

Team Bliss is not responsible in any way for anything that happens to your device in the process of flashing.
Please familiarize yourself with flashing and custom rom use before attempting to flash the rom.
Please make sure you download the correct version of BlissStalk for your specific device. The links are labeled clearly.
-Make sure you are rooted.
-Make sure you have a custom recovery installed. (TWRP, CWM, Philz CWM)
-Download the latest Bliss Rom & the latest GApps package of your preference.
-Boot into recovery.
-Perform a FULL factory wipe and wipe/system and dalvik cache as a precaution
-Flash Bliss Rom
-Flash SkyHigh kernel
-Flash GAPPs package
-Reboot
We are working on correcting all of these issues.
-Screen Recording (Based on device)
-OTA is not functional as of right now but we hope to have it fixed by next release.
-Latest Netflix app will force close.
We have a link to the Xposed Installer and the Netflix Workaround in Settings/Bliss Options/Bliss Downloads.
We are working on getting this bug fixed as quickly as possible, so Xposed will not be required.

Flash at your own risk, what works for me may not work for you.
I am NOT a developer. I did this for fun and it took me over 2 weeks. I am not making any promises for future releases, bug fixes, etc. I will update when I can, and do my best to sort out what is not working, but have limited knowledge and time. In all honesty, I am shocked I even made it this far.
Anyone interested in helping sort out bugs ...or anything... is MORE than welcome, and encouraged, to help.
Working:
Lots
Not Working (yet):
Some folks have external SDcard issues (probably related to the format of the filesystem)
Dynamic Status Bar causes UI to "stutter" lag about every 0.5 seconds
Congrats! You have it up and running.
I belive you should also put crpalmer to credits.
Keep up your work. Sometimes it hurts - but it's worth it!
Not without a couple kinks but who uses the camera on their tablet anyways....
Added crpalmer.

You can fix the camerawrapper - or revert three commots on Camera2 (look in my gits and use cm-11.0 branch from Camera2 clone)... takes me only 4 days and 2 breakdowns (ask barracuda... ) The commit from crpalmer with disabling threads for camera preview in overlay does not completly work on chagall - you cant switch back to photo without crash after selecting camcorder. The reverts work - at least on chagall. If you want to fix the cause in camerawrapper (which would be great), I think you have to update HAL api first, but I'm not sure.
Rom interesting...
Can It work on the model SM-T705 (LTE)?
Any chance on the t800? Love the Bliss rom on my phone
hey i use my cameras..
Is it just me or isn't WiFi working? Fresh install coming from stock tw 4.4

did you flash the SkyHigh CM kernel after flashing the ROM ?
I also have no wifi. Flashed kernel with rom, even rebooted and flashed kernel again. No dice. Any suggestions?
not sure why that's happening..but a new build should be up in the next day, hopefully, with some of the kinks ironed out. Probably best to just wait until then.
Wifi works for me, flashed as suggested in your posts.
I followed the instructions to the letter and no Wi-Fi for me.
Updated: must use the custom skyhigh 1.4 kernel listed in this thread. Will not work with latest 1.9.1.
Away until Monday. Will compile from barracudas updated sources and everything will likely be flawless. I had no idea that other T700 thread existed but it would've made my life muchhhh easier.

flash with diff recovery..try philz touch
Am uploading a newer build that should be much cleaner and wont require an alternative kernel.
Direct all thanks to Barracuda77777 as he is the true mastermind behind the fixes.
As far as getting this up on other devices... I am not a developer, so bug fixing etc is currently beyond me...
That said, if there is a CM port for the device, I can probably port Bliss for that device, but all the shortcomings of the CM rom will exist in Bliss as well. So, once i confirm that this build is doing what it is supposed to, I will try to compile for T800, etc.
Build is up. Here: Get Bliss'd
Only issues I've noticed thus far are micro stutters that occur literally every half second
And notification panel and qs panel don't change with theme (I've only tried one theme).
