I have a 9070P. Still using stock Gingerbread. The phone is rooted with TWRP. Today, I updated a few apps via Playstore. It seemed the installation process of installing World Newspapers never finished, so I used Titanium Backup to reboot the phone. Now all reboots hang on the SAMSUNG logo. I did go into TWRP and wiped Dalvik but the problem persists. Any suggestions?
Resolved
I had a 40 day old TWRP back up which resolved my problem. The only thing lost were my new SMS, contacts, and photos since my last TWRP back up 40 days ago. Titanium Backup restored all my apps. Still wonder what went wrong in the first place. Another reminder to frequently make backups.

Hi I am new to the Android market. I bought a Captivate last May read as many posts on how to flash a new rom to my phone. I flashed Firefly 3.0 to it in June. Everything was fine until a week and a half ago. I'm not sure what caused this, there was an update to TB that I downloaded, but I also deceided to change my boot animation to the Dark Blue. I did this but then deceided I liked the stock theme better and changed it back after a day or so. When the battery was low I put the phone on to charge over night, when I turned the phone on it went in to a boot loop. I put the phone in to recovery and re installed the rom.zip. The phone started to work again but was acting strange, so when I got home I re rooted, flashed back to stock and re installed Firefly 3.0 TB restored the phone, but when I set my ringtone and notifications etc, they would not save after I turned off the phone. I reset all thge ringtones and notifications and they stayed this time but |I now cannot download any apps or update apps, I keep getting out of memory error, even though I have about 11gb of memory on the internal sd and about 6gb on the exteral card. I apologize if this has been covered but I could not find any posts with the exact same issues. I'm reluctant to flash the rom again out of fear that I will have even less memory. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Try, rebooting into recovery. Wipe cache and under advanced, wipe Dalvik cache. Reboot phone and wait while it rebuilds cache. Then go into applications. Find market and wipe data. When restoring from TiBu also make sure your not restoring SYSTEM data when you restore your apps.
Thanks for your help! I was able to download the swype beta again. I can't restore some of my old apps like ebay won't install, but new apps will, can't figure that one out. Thanks again for your help I really appreciate it!

Hi, all!
My Samsung Galaxy Ace (S5830) running under a custom ROM The Ultimatum (I've been using this custom firmware for a few weeks now, with no real problems up until now), is bootlooping with no apparent reason. On a rare occasion, most apps on the phone stopped responding and would crash upon opening, and would require a restart before they worked again. Well this happened to me a few hours ago, so I decided to reboot my phone. After coming back to check my phone, I had found it was still booting. This has gone on for several hours now, and I've tried turning it on and off, removing batteries and everything. It's stuck in bootloop. I found this was odd, as I have had no dramas with the firmware I've been using. I have not made ANY recent changes to the phone whatsoever, so I can hardly believe it would be my fault.
Now, my question is; how do I fix this without wiping all data and installing a clean ROM? I have a lot of stuff in the internal storage I can't afford to lose, and it's really important to me. A full wipe of all data would not be ideal. I can access recovery mode.
I have tried a suggestion a user here made and made a nandroid backup, did a full wipe, reinstalled the ROM (which allowed me to get out of the bootloop) and then restored the data from the backup (which stuck me back in a bootloop). Still no idea and I really don't want to lose this data. If it's too much effort to fix the loop, is it possible to extract the data from the backups on a PC and manage to restore it to a clean wipe?
Thanks in advance!
Fixed my problem by doing a clean installation, and using Titanium Backup to extract the data from my nandroid backup. It was quite a simple solution, really. No idea why no one seemed to suggest it, though.
Oh well, my problem is solved.
Hi all,
My battery got drained yesterday night and i charged the phone when it was off.
When I'm starting the phone everything looks OK but after a minute its restarting.
I'm using TEAMWIN recovery, so i tried to clear cache and dalvik cache, which did not resolved the issue.
I restored an old backup and that backup works just fine with no restarts what so ever.
What can be the issue? how can i load my phone? even just for 20 minutes so i can backup properly.
Please help!
Could not find a way around it - pushed new rom

Could not find a way around the issue but i think the cause was an air update (on a rooted phone+TeamWin recovery)
I pushed a "reset rom" (from htc1guru) without deleting data. did all the setup and app downloading during Germany-Ghanan 2-2, so it wasn't that bad .
Hi guys, I have an old Moto X 2014 that I spun up to use as authenticator for my secondary steam account and another game. I NEED to recover these. The phone is rooted, bootloader unlocked with Cyanogenmod (android 7) and TWRP 3.1.1-0. I do not have any recent TWRP nor TIBU back ups. I'm either looking to recover these apps so I can install them on another phone (a la TIBU) OR get the phone off its bootloop.
Can I recover these without having to unlink these authenticators from their respective accounts? Or recover the phone? Any help?
The bootloop occurred after the battery of the phone ran out. Being so old it has a bad battery, so when the phone reaches like 40% it'll shut down abruptly. Normally it was fine, but I guess this last time was the last straw and it bootlopped after that. Please help!
OK, so I wasn't able to make the phone boot but I managed to recover both apps by making a TWRP back up, copying that back up to the internal storage of a different rooted phone, installing both apps manually from the store and then restoring app settings from TIBU on the new phone. Disaster averted.
Hey,
I actually have a Note 10 plus, rooted with magisk and TWRP, but the Note10 and S10 are very similar, so Ill ask here too (ive waited like 15 hours and got no help in the note 10+ sub).
I have done a full nandroid backup. I restore it with TWRP, and I get stuck on boot, the note 10 screen (not samsung screen), and it never boots. If i restore only data, i get a bootloop.
I wipe dalvik and cache. No difference.
The backup IS NOT corrupted. I tried multiple backups and all is the same
What am I supposed to do? Im completely lost, and found literally nothing from google or here. Also if I flash firmware with odin after the restore, it will boot, but I lose all data, and eevrything. So thats not gonna work.
This is unbelievable and hasnt happened to me when i was doing this last time a few years ago.
I havent had access to my phone in over a day because of this now, its a complete disaster.
Please help. Thanks in advance guys.

I'm not sure, but maybe the nandroid backup isn't compatible with your device.
The thing is that these new phones have a different partition scheme. As you're rooted, you normaly boot on the recovery partition. But when you flash that backup image, maybe it doesn't take into account that partition setting, and that's what messes up your phone.
This is only a small hypothesis, but it can definitely explain your problem. As I've never done any backup myself, I'm not sure about this solution, but maybe try restoring the data on another device, then transfer it on your N10 with USB for example

I am experiencing the same issue.
Device: Tab S 10.5
I am tring to restore a Backup made with TWRP. the restore ends without any error, and when I reboot into System, it stays on Splash Boot forever!!
I though about a corrupted Backup, so went with Fresh Start install + TWRP + Root, then Backup TWRP.
Same issue, stuck on Splash Boot forever!!!
I even tried to unRoot just after the restore, it do not change anything!!!
I also noted that when the Device boot, there is a brif "double vibration", maybe notifying something is wrong.
