i9000 and F2FS - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is any i9000 custom ROM currently supporting F2FS? If so, is anyone using it and noticing any improvements, as far as speed is concerned?

AOSP 4.2.2 Kernel with OTG support

Hi guys
due to the fact that there is no stable cyanogenmod 10.2, I'm using 10.1.3 right now.
So, is there an AOSP kernel for Android 4.2.2 with OTG support?
I actually flashed teamseven's kernel, but it does not support OTG and other AOSP kernels I saw were set up for 4.3.
Thanks, kind regards.

[Q]Why Speed Freak Roms are only made on CM7

Why speedy and modded roms are made only on CM7?
Is there some limitation or restriction?
Who told you that only speedy roms are CM 7?
Most of the Stock 2.3.6 ROMs are Fast and Stable....
CM 9, CM 10, CM 11 are also Speedy if they are properly tweaked and configured....

CM7 roms are the Android Gingerbread based roms. Due to our Ace's hardware restriction, it can only run Gingerbread roms to its maximum potential. That is the exact reason why Samsung didn't provide an OS upgrade after the Gingerbread 2.3.6. This means no other roms, be it CM9, CM10 or CM11, will be able to run as fast and stable as Gingerbread roms(CM7+ Stock). You will be able to run CM9, CM10 or CM11 on Ace because they are twerked to such an extend inorder to reduce lag. Not only would all features not work with them, but also it won't be as fast and stable as Gingerbread roms. But there are users who loves the looks of CM9 and above more than CM7. So in the end its upto you to choose. Hope I Helped

it is not like that brother
they just have lower ram usage as compared to cm 9 10 and 11 so they look more fast as them { which is a truth}
but other roms many based on stock like adrenaline rom is also good option and cm 9 by mr @Rhievaldo is also a good option cos it is a hell good rom

[Q] f2fs Lollipop ROM support

Hello guys only one question does any lollipop rom support f2fs?
Thanks
CM12.1 from Marcelo supports it on Cache and Data. Everything else has to be formatted on ext.
This one I can guarantee. I don't know about other ROMs.
If I am not wrong, like almost every rom is based in the same source, is likely that most of roms support it, I tested it in CM, Bliss and RR and all these support f2fs for data and cache.

permissive kernels for 6.0.1 sm-n910t?

Every custom or stock kernel I could find were for older android versions, and any more recent kernels were for other note 4's. Anyone know of any 6.0.1 kernels, stock or custom for the tmobile version?

best custom ROM

Hi guys,
I am currently using miui9(android7) custom ROM on my z2pro, and looking for a good ROM to switch to because of latest software/security features.
My main criteria for an ideal ROM is the one with full hardware support and comparable battery life as in Nougat ROMs.
so I would be thankful if you share your experience regarding above criteria of latest ROMS.
