[Q] No Titanium Backup access even though phone is rooted - Sprint HTC One (M7)

I have a Sprint HTC One (M7) that I rooted a while ago. On the first screen you get when you boot into recovery, it says Unlocked and S-Off. I'm using TWRP Recovery v2.8.3.0. I also use ROM Manager, and have installed a few different ROMs until I found one I liked, with no problems. My current ROM is CyanogenMod 5.0.2. I have superuse v3.1.3 (46). When I try to access Titanium Backup I get an error message that says "Sorry, I could not acquire root priveleges. This application will *not* work! Please verify that your ROM is rooted, and try again. This attempt was made using the "/system/bin/su" command. I cant' figure out what the problem is. Can anyone help?

[Q] no su access on salsa

Hi
I have used HTC unlock bootloader method to unlock my HTC Salsa Icon G C510e and that worked fine with me.
Then I installem CWM recovery and falsh the custom ROM.
Then i tried to root my phone. everything went well no errors(atleast i could not see any on the screen)
Then isnstalled Link2SD, now here comes the problem. It now says that my phone is not rooted and Link2Sd cannot access root. I also installed Root Check app from and it said the same that my phone is not rooted.
I tried the whole procedure againa, no errors..
But the phone is not rooted (i guess so) or I still dont have root access.
can somebody please help..
Thank you very very much in advance
Download the latest superuser
And flash it via Recovery

Question..............did you flash the root.zip file?
if not theres your problem, thats what gives you root access. if you have then you got an error in the rom if you flashed another over your original....hope your making nandroid backups lol
Solved
Hi,
Thanks everybody for your replys. I could fix the problem by upgrading my SuperUser app.
In su app, i was getting a notification that su binary is out of date and when i used to hit the option to update the su binary from SU app settings, it used to fail.
The thing I did was to install SU again from Market and it worked.
Though i am not sure what exactly the problem was.

Unlocked bootloader but ROOT doesn't work? Help please!

I really don't know where I went wrong. I recently lost my Nexus 4 and decided to try an HTC One. I've rooted before with my N4 but yet I'm having problems this time.
Unlocked bootloader fine, TWRP installed perfectly fine... Downloaded the SuperUser from AndroidSU.com and installed it through my phones main screen. Then downloaded root checker but it says I'm not rooted... So I wiped my phone, installed the SU via TWRP instead and still the same problem.
Does anyone have any idea what I'm missing? I don't want to fully set up my phone until it's rooted and I pick my new ROM.
Thanks

Boot into twrp, Click "reboot' then click "system" It will then say "swipe to fix root" do that, as soon as the phone boots up, pull down the status bar and click the supersu installer, it will ask you how you want to install it, click the "play" option. after it installs, open up "supersu" if it asks to update the binary, say yes and choose the "normal" install. then you can run root checker and it should say your ooted, remeber to "Grant" when the popup comes up asking you for super user permission....
If your plan is to install a custom Rom anyways, just skip rooting. Most custom roms are rooted already.

Swipe to fix root doesn't show up. Just reboots automatically. Superuser won't even unistall now. Every time I wipe and restart it's still there. I don't understand how it's even there but yet I don't have root access... .
Too the other guy, you're saying I can just skip this bull**** and download CM or any other ROM and it won't mess up my phone for not having proper root?
Recoveries have root access, that's how they can edit /system. If you just flash your Rom like normal it will be rooted, provided that it's a Rom that's already rooted. Which 90% of them are. What you're trying to do now is root the stock Rom, which really doesn't make sense if you're just gonna install a Rom that's already rooted anyway.

[Q] Before I make a total balls.....

I thought I would search for help on XDA but there does not appear to be anyone who has the problem I am facing.
I want to update Android Revolution HD, or go back to stock or whatever, BUT, I have just noticed that TWRP seems to have gone.
The M7 is unlocked and running ARHD 71.1 with TWRP and SuperSU.
Having decided to update I was making some backups and doing a clear out and I tried to open SuperSU.
SuperSU said it wanted to update, so I wentb through the steps to update SuperSU using TWRP.
Trying to update SuperSU using TWRP tells me 'No apps configured'
Now I am worried about the best procedure.
Should I go back to stock and start again or re-install TWRP or what?
I thought I would ask for some expert help before flying off half cocked and getting everything to go tits up!
Expert advice would be most appeciated.
Regards
p.s. The TWRP folder and backup remains although the app has pushed off.

Sprint HTC M8 needs ROOT or does it.

I have an older phone the Sprint variant of the HTC One M8. I need to use this phone again but would like to get permanent root on it so I can freeze some of those pesky Sprint apps.
I unlocked the boot loader without a problem.
I have installed TWRP as the recovery and it works.
I then used TWRP to flash superuser onto the phone.
When I use a couple root checker apps I get "ROOTED" but when I tried to put Busybox in it states its not rooted. A couple other apps I would like use that require root access also state the phone is not rooted.
Anyone with some insight into where I can go next would be great. Its been awhile since I was on the XDA forums and I am doing allot of reading.
