Hello,
I bought on eBay (good seller) Touch screen to change one of my tablet.
I changed it without problem.
But now, after one day of use, I found bugs on touch it.
I have black areas (over detection) that moves randomly on the screen and restart it after re-working some time and hop it starts again in another area !!
(view a screenshot)
Do you think this is a quality of the new touch glass?
Or a software bug?

I'd guess that you haven't quite fitted it back together perfectly or the firmware got changed for the touchscreen by Asus for later revisions (or earlier) and you need to do a firmware touchscreen update.
Are you using a custom rom?
Hello,
I have a Stock Rom with last Update.

Did You Check Unknowns Resources in Settings?!
it should WORK!
if that didn't work search TOUCH CALIBRATION in Play Store and let me know
Touch Irresponsive, Screen Freezes
Like a lot of users, I am also having problems with the xperia SP's touch screen. The touchscreen becomes randomly irresponsive. Sony acknowledges the problem and suggests:
"This have now been investigated and if you experience this problem I advice you to contact your local support team to have your phone calibrated at a repair center."
The problem is in live in Bangladesh and they do not have official Sony tech support centres. Does anyone know how to do the touch screen calibrations ? Any DIY solutions will be highly appreciated.
Cheers,
Mir
Just updated my S6 Edge, I had the dreaded screen rotation issue Updated is dated 22nd April 10:31:44
my build number is LRX22G.G250ZTU1AOD9 , my phone is from Taiwan, I bought it on a b-Trip , i Updated it in the UK OTA
Funnily enough in the hardware sensor check (*#0•# on the keypad) the Y axis is still stuck at 32967 (or something like that) , but the stupid dog now rotates, and all my apps work and rotate.
Have they overcome the broken hardware by using a different sensor ?
is the phone still broken but overcome in some alternative sensing method ? Will this be compatible with all apps ?
anyway, I'm happy for now ?
If it is a non-Verizon model, why did you post this on the Verizon section?
Because in my excitement, i was an idiot , Sorry !
No worries! Glad to hear it is working better though!
Hello everyone.
I am on build number EVA-L09C02B123
My screen is not very responsive in some areas, sometimes in more than a few areas. It needs a firmer press.
Is this an issue address in the 30+ firmwares, or is it my device? anyone else experiencing this?
Thanks
I only registered to confirm this issue on my P9 also!
I was starting to think my finger is failing
Just for correctness EVA-L09C432B136

same here on EVA-L09C150B121
I have a similar problem when I hold my phone in both hands. The palm of my hands are touching the screen because of the small bezel and that causes the touchscreen to be unresponsive in other areas. I'm also having the Vodafone version EVA-L09C02B123. Huawei should add some kind of detection like Apple has on the iPad since the Mini. That would fix it.
So it very well could be the firmware version.
I also had a Carphone Warehouse one at 131, and that worked like a charm. I guess we need to wait for Vodafone to roll out an update
I wrote already a mail to huawei regarding some issues, but i did not get an answer yet

it would be curious to see which model colours do which.
I have a white from CPW which was pre-scratched out of the box, with a hairline scratch visible against lamp lights - putting a tempered glass on hides this 100%. Still I wanted to return it, and get a black.
My black had terrible responsiveness issues. My white has none, they're almost not there. I think it could after all have something to do with the front panel's alignment to the digitizer.
It is so amazing that in this day and age we still have to worry about s**t like that (light bleeds, responsiveness, scratches out of the box)
I have this problem to and problem when change local memory to card sd. My phone freeze
Wysłane z mojego EVA-L09 przy użyciu Tapatalka
L09 with 136 here (Titanium grey) and luckily I have no issues.
Good to know mate. I am starting to think this is a problem very similar to the Note 4 where in some units the glass panel was misaligned which required a firmer press on the back button.
I will try another dark from. Vodafone UK. They are on 123 version but the unit also costs 300 with them which is a steal
did anybody try to activate glove mode in settings? may be the display become more responsive
Good idea. I will try that.
I have some kind of theory.
When i turn display brightness up between 60-100% and start playing cpu intense games the following happens:
(Auto Brightness turned off)
1. Phone starts warming up significantly from the upside and continues to get warm until the bottom.
2. Display brightness suddenly starts changing (Thermal throttling!?)
3. Responsiveness decreases
4. Phone gets really really warm
(Auto Brightness turned off - between 30-50%)
1. Phone does not warm up so much. Still getting warm but okay.
2. Display brightness does not change anymore
3. Responsiveness much better with nearly no failures
I have the feeling that in B135 the phone was not getting as hot as in B136
Sometimes when i open phone and try answer to whatsapp, screen is very responsiveness.. And im using google keyboard.. Anyone got problem like this?
Having the same problem playing games. EVA L19 136. I'm sure it's a software bug. Waiting for an update...

How did you installed 136 on EVA-L19? 130 seems to be the latest version
It was an update that came automatically when I updated the phone. I live in Romania.
I'm also having screen issues but it seems to be the opposite of what everyone is describing :
- Unwanted touches even though I'm not touching the screen. Can happen several times in a row in the same area
- Bad scroll detection : the device often recognizes the first touch of a scroll as a selection, or interprets a selection while scrolling
- Bad long-touch detection
I'm going to send the device back to Amazon but I'm fearing this is not an hardware issue and knowing Huawei is really sloppy when it comes to sorting issues, I'm thinking it might be best not to get a new P9.
PS: I'm on build B136.
What do you think ?
I think it's a software issue with B136. What model do you have? Does your problem happen at certain times or all the time?
I have P9 EVA-L09 bought in France.
It happens almost all the time but to a certain degree : sometimes it's very subtle, but sometimes the device goes crazy and starts taping on its own, opening links I didn't select, etc. Quite a nightmare.
Have you tried to Factory reset it? Or manually install some other verion of the official rom?
hi everyone i post this to ask or confirm a situation, a lot of users know or have experiment the ghost touches and after a lot of research is not confirmed if is a issue of software or hardware, besides that i found a tip about the ghost touches if i conect a otg mouse during the fail and work a little with it the issue dont hapen and more, its solved after the next reboot when happens again.
have somebody trying that? or can confirm if it works for someone?
if this post its in wrong place please change it or copy to another location.
thanks
phone: xperia z1 C6906
rom: stock 5.1.1
kernel: stock no mods
screen/touch changed by chinese one
Apply tampered glass screen protector, it will reduce/eliminate ghost touche
I'm using tempered glass screen protector but the issue is still there. Well, it may reduce that a bit though.
There are many hassles. These Z1 family support pencil touch that causes unwanted touch.
And, the touchscreen panel and display is poor.
Try this
Try this, worked for me for a few days or weeks :
Apply pressure on the digitizer, specifically in the inferior part, just like a massage ( side by side) . . after a few seconds you can verify how it works . . The only point is, this solution is not permanent. This is a hardware problem .. the real solution is replacing the digitizer. Regards

DL link in that thread is not working. Can you upload an APK?
Sent from my Z1
All of a sudden the lower part of display (about 7 mm) has become unresponsive to touch which means no more gestures (swipe up to get to home screen is not working) e struggle to use the classic navigation buttons.
Sadly I had the same issue in my mi5 but in that case phone had the issue since the unboxing.
I'm starting thinking the xiaomi touchscreen tend to be more fragile than others.
Now I'm waiting for gearbest support.
Anyone has any advice or similar experience?
I made a screen recording

Regarding Xiaomi Quality
While climbing into my truck, I dropped my Mi8 from a height of about 4 ft on accident and it landed flat on its face , on the concrete. Freaked out, I left it laying their for about a minute fearing that the screen had been smashed into a million pieces. However, I picked it up to see that it was fine, and not a single scratch. So I immediately went out and bought the Love Mei 360 case.
Anyway, regarding your touch issue, you should really provide more some information about how this issue came about, what rom were you using, did the phone get wet, etc.
Also, I had an issue with my Mi8 soon after unlocking the bootloader where the top part of the screen would not register my touches, I first tried recalibrating the screen using Miui hidden settings app, the test is called QMMI ( I think) and if I remember correctly there are several menus of testing that also calibrate the screen for me this worked and for good measure I reinstalled a Miui rom and havent had the issue since.
Try it, hopefully that is the only issue. If you are using a AOSP. It's possible that you have a driver issue. So before sending the phone off for service its worth testing.. If you are on stock and still have a locked bootloader, I would try resetting the phone before trying anything else.
Good Luck.
Some gravedigging, but the question is still on the table - have you managed to fix it?
