My HTC One M7 Dev Edition hasn't been able to connect to T-mobile's 3g network since December of 2014. I had the phone since august of 2013 and it worked flawlessly until December. I tried changing the settings in the *#*#4636*#*# menu and nothing worked, i tried sending my phone to HTC and the wanted $300 just fix it. I tried a friend's At&t SIM card and it worked with out an issue. I need my phone to work on 3g because that is the network used to make and receive phone calls and text. Does anyone know if this is an issue with the phone or T-Mobile? Thanks!

You're not going to like this answer, but the unlocked HTC one lacks the 1700 band needed for T-Mobile 3G. The good news is T-Mobile is in the process of reforming their network so your phone should get 3G by quarter 3 2013. Until then you could try an AT&T mvno or return it and buy one from T-Mobile that has the required bands.

Hi,
I have a major issue with my HTC One, I cannot connect to the O2 network. I have had this problem since I returned from South Africa to the UK. I unlocked the SIM when over there to use a SA sim and then when I got back I could not use voice or text only data on the O2 network.
I searched for a while to see if I could fix the problem but to no avail. So I decided to install the Google Play Edition to the phone (via fastboot), now this is complete with OTA updates and this is now to 4.4 KitKat.
I am not sure what is the issue with it as it will not connect to voice, sms or data now. Could it be the radio? I have changed the setting from LTE to 3G as I dont have LTE (4G).
At the moment the phone is only good as a substitute device when on WIFI...... Help... :crying: :crying:
hello guys,
i have a HTC one (m7) phone unlocked, rooted, S-OFF which i have converted to GPE and right now has installed 5.0.1. Everything is working fine! except one think, the connection in cellular networks. I have that issue for over a month right now and i don't know what i can do! i have tried to change the setting through *#*#4636#*#* but i noticed that i don't have ip..(IP addr not reachable) any ideas? also an other really weird thing that i noticed is that i can receive phonecalls only in 2G networks.
Hi I bought an unlocked, Verizon branded Moto X Developer Edition which I intended to use on Koodo in Canada, which runs on the Telus network. When I put my sim card in it has trouble connecting to the network. It connects for a couple of minutes, and then loses the signal for a couple minutes, then picks it up again and so on. It's like it is connecting to cell towers other than Koodo/Telus and cant use them.
I have tested the sim card in another phone and it is fine. I have spent a significant amount of time with Koodo customer support and it has become obvious the problem is with the phone. It doesn't matter if I have it set to global or LTE/GSM and connect to Koodo that way, both have the same result.
Has anybody run into a similar problem? I absolutely love the phone and would hate to find out that I can't use it. I live in London, Ontario and shouldn't have any issues with coverage.
Thanks
I have The exact same problem with a moto X from ATT trying it on Koodo. Maybe flashing the Telus rom or dev rom on it could work. Mine is in 4.4.4 with ATT so I can't unlock the boot loader to do that but maybe you can...

Have you tried manually entering the APN settings?
The Verizon XT1060 (Dev Edition, or non-Dev Edition) is SIM unlocked out of the box. So forcing to GSM mode should work, as long as the APN settings are right.
As a side note, to use a T-Mobile USA Sim, I've had to manually enter the APN settings on my Dev Ed VZW X.
I recently bought an Unlocked HTC M9 that was originally under AT&T network. While it makes calls and works fine, one thing I do have a problem with is Wi Fi calling. Since this is technically an AT&T phone I can't call on Wi-fi ( which is important because my apartment has no signal in it) with my T-Mobile sim card. I was wondering if there was a way I could download T Mobile software to make such calls, and if so how would I go about doing this.
