Return to stock threads. Use rsd to flash sbf to stock or fastboot the stock image files.

[Q] Can't boot into system, is it bricked?

My moto x is XT1052 retail version, and I was regret to update to 4.4.4, so I flashed 4.4.2 version, but I stucked at partition so I stopped and find ways to back to 4.4.4, but I can't find a 4.4.4 asia retail version image for me to restore my phone via fastboot command, do anyone have the EU or Asia retail image of 4.4.4 of XT1052? I really need help!! Thank you soooo much!!!

Actually, there IS an "AsiaRetail" variant of the XT1052 as well.

You should have never attempted to downgrade. It is posted literally all over these forums to not attempt this. There is no 4.4.4 FXZ for any of the XT1052 variants yet. You can try some methods, but they all have risk. The only safe way to recover is to wait for the 4.4.4 FXZ to be released, but there's no telling when that will happen.
Some have had success by skipping the "flash partition gpt.bin" command, but if you do this you are at risk of bricking when you take the update back to 4.4.4. Again, some have been successful, but anyone that tells you it is completely safe is mistaken.
Good Luck :good:

Help! Borked 4.4.4 xt1058

Hi All--I'm trying to help a friend with a messed up moto x.
It's on 4.4.4 (including bootloader), and somehow he messed something up in his system directory, so he can't upgrade...he needs to first flash back to stock 4.4.4
I can't find an sbf for the xt1058 on 4.4.4 (It's a Rogers phone...though I'm sure he'd be happy with t-mobile/pure software too...and I seem to remember that with an unlocked bootloader that is possible to do?) and he can't downgrade because he's got the new bootloader.
He IS bootloader unlocked, if that matters.
Any help would really be appreciated!

[Q] Rooting Guide

Hello, can anyone provide me with a rooting guide for the Moto X 2014 XT1097 running Android 5.0.2 for mac? I have been searching for a while, but can't find one. Any help I appreciate so so so much.

XT1053 with Verizon software after 5.1 OTA: do you know how to solve?

Hi all, I need help.
I have an XT1053 developer edition, gsm. In the past I've unlocked bootloader just to use Xposed on Kitkat, I've never flashed custom roms. Only once an XT1052 stock rom to have italian as language, but since it had a bad radio behaviour I went back to XT1053 stock rom. I've had root but not for long. I have tried also to re-lock the bootloader, but I was never successful since (FAIL: Please run fastboot oem lock begin first!)
With the 5.1 OTA, now I have the right build but with VZW written at the end. In the boot animation, I have the Verizon logo. Thanks to Mark of Motorola Forum Manager, I've had the stock XT1053 5.1 DE software to flash through fastboot, but even if the procedure is successful I cannot get rid of the VERIZON thing. I would like to use RSD Lite but I can't since it doesn't recognize the phone as connected, even if Motorola Device Manager does recognize it and the drivers are installed.
How can I do? Is there a way to really clean completely the phone and install the right software more "deeply"?
Any help will be much appreciate.
Thanks,
Luca
