So I did not do anything stupid with my phone. Did not drop it nor bring it underwater. Ghosting issues or maybe a burn-in occured in my case. Please give me advice on what to to do? And what would I need to replace in order to get rid of it. Thank you.

Out of no where my phone screen is mostly white with lots of multi colored vertical lines. I tried resetting it hard, soft, and reset it to the defaults. I still cannot see anything on the screen. I assume its a loose cable to the screen, but since i am under warrenty i didnt open it up. I already have a replacement warrenty phone on its way, but i dont wanna return a cooked rom. What do u guys think the best way to reformat the phone back to an original rom?
Can you take a screenshot of it?
I cant see anything on the screen. But ill take a picture of the screen...

Thanks
from what I can see from the photo your screen is cracked
No its not cracked at all. Ill try and take a better picture.
To take a better image, use MyMobiler (although i do suspect it'll give the regular windows screen).
that certainly looks like a crack to me, it won't be really apparent if its on the back side
yeah that is for sure cracked, well unless you drew on the screen with a black marker. you do know that if you send a warranty phone in that has physical damage they charge you the cost of the replacement phone they sent you?
i tried using my Mobiler (which by the way ****ing owns) and i dont see anything wrong with the screen.

can anyone say ****? How the **** could i have cracked? (obviously u cant answer that). I already started the warrenty process. Any smart ideas?
ive read a few threads that screens will just crack sometimes without real damage. sorry man that sucks.
I appreciate everyones help. Maybe they will look past this small "crack". Do u think its possible to re flash the rom without a working screen?
yeah i suppose you could flash it but you won't be able to calibrate the screen, try it and then check my mobiler to see what is going on.
here is my next issue. I cant find the text file that i stored the original radio and rom version. What is the best OEM to go with? *im an att customer and i got this phone thru warrenty in may*

i haven't read through it but that should help.
So the flat wire that connects my nook color screen to the motherboard was pierced. Sufficed to say, do not allow idiot relatives who say they can fix something to be alone with said beloved gadget. (It was dropped and the frame dented somewhat, not a big deal, worked fine still) Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knew how to fix this issue, should I get a whole new replacement screen? Can I fix the wire, and if so, where would I find parts that fit my nook? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I really do miss my nook.
I'd say call 1-800-THE-BOOK and see how liberal their warranty service is. Put everything back together and just tell them "it quit working". Don't offer any liability (don't tell them you dropped it, don't tell them a relative "fixed" it for you). If they want to troubleshoot over the phone, do what they say (if it won't even power up, tell them that). Don't lie, just don't tell ALL the truth.
Edit: They will be able to tell what happened once it shows up, but by then then easiest thing to do will be to bin it and send you a new one. Don't go to the store.
Folks,
Need a bit of help here. N7000 just hit the ground and something cracked. It doesn't look like the external screen has cracked but the display is all kinds of messed up. I can get part of the screen to respond, but some of it won't...
Asking a few questions... This device has multiple layers of the "screen" correct? How can I check to see what is cracked, and what can be repaired?
Currently the screen has gone to a green hue, it looks like probable damage to the LED screen? I can receive calls, and my HS3000 was connected when it fell so bluetooth is working, but I cannot see any info...I can perform calls via the headset.
Looking to find some options and get an idea of costs involved in any possible self repair. Any other help is greatly appreciated.
This never happened to my N900. :crying:

It looks like you need a screen repair... You should repair the entire screen but if it makes you wallet bleed and you are brave enough go ahead and try open it,

Thanks. Yeah this thing is toast. I saw the youtube of the guy replacing just the LCD... NOPE. The assembly is almost as much as another unlocked phone. BAH.
Well guys sorry if I look redundant, if a moderator find it to be "same thing again" than previous posts I don't mind you deleting the post.
It is not to complain though, it is a question to know wether my problem is a software or a hardware issue.
I encountered the black screen issue on my XPeria Z1 two times now since Friday (I got it brand new by then). But I encountered it in two exactly similar situations :
-I had light multitasking like Messenger (Facebook);
-Notification Center telling me something;
-Each time, I was about to write a SMS to the same contact.
Is it just an Android bug? I run the stock 4.2.2 no modifications no root whatsoever, I'm already amazed by the phone at its standard state.
I run a C6903 BH90F serie. As I said in another thread, very very slight Yellow hue but bright and clean screen, no other issues encountered during the weekend.
Should I return it to Warranty? Or can I solve this black screen by software?
Bump, I am right now still under Black Screen. Haven't gone the reset route yet because if I go to warranty I will reset it in front of the seller. I need my phone though. And I'm not using it because i'm waiting for you guysto give me your thoughs.
Please help!
if that happened to me, I would probably go replace it just in case.
H ello, my front camera has become faulty, I do not know how but I thought it may have been a software issue but no matter what ROM I go to, the problem still exists. So I'm going to buy a replacement one but I cannot find a guide online to replace it. I want to know if I can just take the screen off and replace it like that or would I have to go from the back.
Going in from the back is the last thing I want to do as I'm afraid of breaking my phone and that is the last thing I want. I love it too much
Heres an image of what happens when I try to take a picture with it. I would be very grateful if you know for a guide or a way to fix it without having to replace it and were to share with me.

Thanks in advance
you will need to go from back, you cannot open the mobile from the front as much as i know,as i had my screen replaced and had to open it from the back to do that!
