HTC ONE M7 stuck, please help! - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi Guys
I am very new to this. I bought a M7 from ebay. It was a T-Mobile UK phone. It had the latest lollipop OS on and it was working fine. I was transferring my files over from my other M7 and it suddenly turned off. Since then it is just stuck on the HTC logo. I have tried to hard rest but even after selecting factory reset or recovery it restarts to the logo and is stuck.
Also on the bootloader it says LOCKED and not TAMPERED.
Please can someone tell me how to resolve this step by step as I have been searching the forums but am extremely confused (certain links to toolkits are not available and I just do not understand all the technical stuff like unlock, s on /off!!)
Please someone help!

Is the phone still under warranty? If yes send it back.
Otherwise post the output of "fastboot getvar all". Remove the IMEI and SerialNo before posting it.

[Q] Stuck on Bootloader

Just flashed Android RevolutionHD on my Sprint HTC One and now I'm stuck looping onto the bootloader. None of the options work and I don't know what to do. Recently bought this phone and hoping to god I didn't just brick it, have never had any problems rooting or flashing in the past so idk if it is bricked, please help.

For HTC One: International GSM/LTE (UL), International GSM (U), all U.S. carriers (apart from Sprint)
Next time I would suggest you flash only Sprint Roms. You need to RUU http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=44243635

device not found
Every time I go into adb or try to use the hasoon toolkit it tells me device not found. Bootloader is unlocked with s-on and htc drivers are installed. When I try to boot into recovery now it sits at the HTC quite brilliant screen for a few seconds then shuts down.
Just tried re-locking/re-unlocking the bootloader and was successful with that so the drivers are working and it seems to have some connection to adb.
I tried pushing a recovery through adb and it had sit for over 8 hours, went to work and let it sit trying, and still nothing happened. Adb is stuck on sending 'recovery' <7544 KB>... and saying nothing else.
Just tried it again and it worked instantly so now I have a recovery.
Problem solved, major thanks to Indirect for the assist.

[Q] Cannot boot into bootloader or recovery

Hello guys
So, here's the deal. Few months back, I messed up my One and got it stuck at the grey HTC Screen. Couldnt boot into system, because I guess there was no ROM on the device. Thanks to you guys here at XDA, I got the situation analyzed and took the device to an HTC Service Center who told me to get my motherboard replaced. That was way too costly, so I got it JTAGed. The device now boots into ROM, but it cant boot into the bootloader. So I cant unlock the bootloader, S-OFF, Root or anything.
I can only boot into ROM. Can anyone please explain why this is so and what can I do to get my bootloader and recovery back.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
Which methods are you using to get into the bootloaader ?

Sorry for the late reply..i was out of town..
I tried adb and manually pressing power+down..but to no avail.
I figured it out in the end though...i dont know what happened but the device suddenly went into the bootloader one day and now its working fine.
I have a question..
My device has been jtagged. Its now bootloader locked, unrooted, s on.
Is it dangerous for me to try to unlock and s off and flash a new rom?
Can a device be flashed after its been jtagged? Im sorry I dont have much experience with jtag.
Thanks!

[Q] Definitely bricked or solvable? Flashed wrong firmware no way turning back

Hi everybody.
I'm going to buy an HTC one M7 GSM (ITALY) that is semi-bricked.
The owner tells me he accidentally installed an AT&T firmware, and then the phone boots only on RUU mode, and he can't flash ANYTHING -neither the original IT firmware!-
I don't know how much practice have this guy with android development so I think that he can't give to me more information out of this general description of the state of this phone.
I just want to know if this problem is solvable with the UNBRICK TOOL : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2770684 or this phone is just dead and buried.
Thank you for any help you'll give to me! Sorry if i've made any english' mistakes.

[Q] PLEASE help :( M7_UL PVT SHIP S-ON RH locked in boot mode.

Hi, I am sure this is covered somewhere so apologies for going over something that may have been ( I couldn't find one that matched my problem exactly ). I went to use SOUND HOUND the other day and my phone just went into a permanent white screen with HTC in green written on it. I have since found the bootloader and tried reboot etc etc and various other tips but it seems nothing will work. The phone is showing as TAMPERED & LOCKED and is S-ON. Having been ripped off by HTC for a screen repair recently I am reluctant to send back to them to be ripped off again and wondered if someone could help me out ... but be warned I have basic computer skills but no RUU experience etc BUT can follow clear guidance.
If anyone can help I would be most grateful. Please see image for my phone's details. MANY thanks in advance. I am happy to donate to a chosen charity of the person who gets me out of this as a thank you.

Do you have a custom or stock recovery installed? Custom recoveries require an unlocked bootloader for the device to boot.

I truly have no idea ... it's how it came from new and from HTC after the screen replacement ... so I am assuming stock?

if your locked you should try a RUU first
you need your software version from the bootloader screen
turn phone off then hold power + volume down
if you have fastboot on your pc you can also post the result from
fastboot getvar all (minus you serial no and IMEI)

I was unable to find a RUU for your version. You might check to see if someone has a nandroid backup that they can send to you. Check the EE Community.
Using your volume buttons scroll down to FACTORY RESET then using the PWR button select it. It is a long shot but it might work to get you back up and running again.
Thank you for trying to help.
Am sadly still at a loss with this and it may be going in the bin !

[Q] HTC One - Stuck at white screen

Hello there,
My HTC is not starting up since an firmware update this week (mobile phone provider: Hi/KPN in the Netherlands). I do not know which firm update it was. I have not rooted, unlocked, flashed or made any other kind of customization on my phone. After the firmware update the mobile phone restarted itself and immediately got stuck on the white screen with the text HTC One and beatsaudio. Rebooting the phone has the same results. So I tried the bootloader (HBOOT-1.57.0000) in order to use 'factory reset' and 'recovery', but both options don't do anything.
Can anyone tell me which options I have left in order to repair my HTC One by myself? I would really appreciate your help!
Greetings,
Ivo

I have the same problem with a verizon htc one
Cannot find device
I installed Minimal ADB and Fastboot, but it cannot find the device while the mobile phone is switched off or in HBOOT-modus. Probably because debugging is turned off? Is there another way in which I can provide you the information you need?
I have a repair service, but than it will take three weeks before I will see my phone back. That is why I wanted to manually reinstall the software. Is that still possible?

Usb debugging is only required for adb commands while the phone is booted to Android os.
Fastboot commands should work with the bootloader in fastboot mode regardless of usb debugging. Make sure your drivers are installed correctly and the bootloader is in fastboot mode not hboot mode.
You need to provide the getvar as requested by @alray, or we don't know what software is safe to recommend for you :good:
