Is there anyone who can porting android m developer preview for our moto x 2014? I know that it's hard, because there isn't the source code, but last year there were some porting of android l developer preview for unsupported devices (like nexus 4, HTC one) and the changes were much more than the preview of this year...

Hi all, first of all sorry for my bad English, not my native language.
My question is if any developer is working on some android L port for moto X
I'm just anxious to have the new version in my hands
regards
They released "some" source for it....so ports are probably going to be tough until its officially released and the source code fully.
Thanks
I may be incorrect tho. Lol
I don't have any interest in anything unstable. Well, L may be....but too many apps don't work with it. I used L about an hour and wiped it.
I'll wait for official release.
Now I really have NO idea about ROM porting. But I was thinking since the Moto X has a similar chipset to the Snapdragon S4 which the Nexus 4 has, and the Nexus 4 has a working Android L port, and from there, I was wondering, how hard would it be to port the Nexus 4 Android L port to the Moto X?

The devices are far too different for a port.
I am betting there will be nothing for the X until after its officially released... Which will be who knows when.... And when they release source code also, sometime after the update is released.

Porting becomes complicated due to the X8 thingy
Is there anyway to add Moto display, actions, and etc that is on Moto X 2014? I understand if this is possible I'd have to run a custom ROM.
At the moment, No.
The Moto X Pro that is releasing in China is a rebranded Nexus 6 with no Google services/apps. However will have all the Moto apps such as Display and Voice w/ all the others.
Some people have been theorizing since it will have the same chipset and internals as our Nexus 6 that a system dump of the X Pro could allow the possibility of porting over these features.
No word on when there will be a system dump or if there will be one or even if porting would work. All we can do is wait.
The title tells it all. Are we going t be seeing a port of the android m developer preview like last year's android l? Thanks in advance!

Hi,
I don`t think there`s any point in porting the developer preview, as the code could (and probably will) change a lot until the official release of M. It`s best to save up for that.
Last years port of L Developer Preview was really buggy and a lot of modules didn`t work at all. You had to do reverse tethering in order to get an active internet connection on it.

No one is wasting their time with the preview. There really is no point due to it not being a complete OS. Also to get it working on our device will require updated kernel source which is not released yet so many developers are not even touching it. Add in the fact thast every month it is getting updated until release in the fall.
Getting an official version of AOSPA would be really unlikely to happen but do you guys think we should get unofficial port of it ?
Since the One Plus One has his own official ROM, and these devices aren't too different specs-wise, it shouldn't be too difficult to port to our device right ?
Really hoping to see AOSPA comming for Moto X 2014 Have a nice day
Was also hoping someone would port it over if it was possible. Loved using that ROM back in my Nexus 4 days.
