[Q] i want install double tap with cyanogenmod 12 HTC One M7 - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
i have an issue when making call with my HTC one M7 international version stock ROM
when I do a call the phone becomes muted, the other person can't hear me .
i don't find a solution for that
so i decided ti install a custom ROM like cyanogenmod but i want also the double tap feature and logo menu and sweep to weak with it.
so can i install the custom rom and then the Elemantalx kernel? or they will not work fine together in the phone
is the Elementalx kernel only for stock ROM or for all custom ROM?
Also is there a sollution for the Call issue ?
Regards

[Q] Wakky Camera Issues with Kernels

Hey guys! Daniel here on my unlocked HTC one (dev addition)....
I have been having some issues with my camera, every custom kernel I have tried has made it be black, and unresponsive.
So far I have tried elementalX (The Kernel I hope to have work), and 2 other xda kernels, all with both camera fix on and off...
I have also tried this with the stock ROM, and CleanROM, with no change in effect~
Any ideas for diagnosing this issue?

I'm on 2.17. 401.1 - is this an issue?
I'm running Android revolution HD 10, but have not tried flashing elementalx yet.
There isn't even source code for 1.29 properly yet, never mind the new Android 4.2.2 I'd strongly recommend using the stock kernel until the source code is released for kernel devs
I'm surprised the only issue you're having is with camera tbh

Sounds good, with stock kernel is there any good 3dot menu replacement? Sadly android revolution 10 does not get rid of it (hint hint)

buzzing sound from speaker

Hello guys
Recently I unlocked the phone bootloader , rooted and installed a new ROM ..
But when I get a notification sometimes , a high pitch buzz sound comes out of the speaker and at the same time I discovered that the earphone Jack doesn't work anymore
This didn't happen before I installed the new ROM so I thought I install another ROM but it occurred on the new ROM too
Thanks for your help

Sorry but that didn't help , the problem still exists ,can this be a hardware problem ? Something wrong with the headphone jack? Should I flash the custom ROM to be sure ?

Try CM11 and check whether the issue continues
It's a known issue with AOSP based roms

I did not face that issues when i flashed cm11 or aokp
It's not a constant buzz, only briefly every so often. I'm not sure whether it's because older blobs are used or because of cm itself

[Q] cm11: wich one ? stock or special kernel ?

Hi
Probably answered somewhere but didn't find. I'd like to try cm11 and I have some basic questions:
- First one is : does it worth it to unlock BL ? I imagine a special cm11 kernel is better than the stock one for 4.3. Is it really the case ?
- If it's the case, is it better to use cm11 kernel or an other one ?
- And then, which cm11 or cm11 based rom is better (stable and battery friendly)
Thanks.
From what I have read the CyanogenMod for Locked Bootloaders is more stable... And this is because of the kernel.
However a point of attention:
Threads with the question: "What is the best rom or kernel" are not allowed here.
~~Regards

Ok for the "best rom" not allowed but trying each kitkat rom with each kernel will take a while ...
So if someone knows that at the present time "this one" with this kernel does not reboot all the time and does not eat battery it's not so bad, no ?
And your answer is in this way: first point is that kikat based rom with stock kernel are known as more stable. Perfect.
I don't understand very well this prohibition.
Williams, Stock and Nayyak runs ok with cm roms

Hi there,
I am ussing experianze v3 and for now is the best I have tried, so try it! hehe
PC
Today, the most stable and battery friendly KK ROM, which is CM based, is Paranoid ROM.
P-A-C is a good one aswell but since it has more bells and whistles it's less battery friendly. (More wakelocks)
Thank you guys. Will make a try this weekend.
any clue?

I'm now running cm11 LBL, latest build (08-24) from MrSteve555 and it's working very fine.
Also heard about an app on Play Store to boost sound: alsamixer
Best rom/kernel threads are not allowed.
Please head over to the development sections and try these out for yourself.
You should also read the threads to find out if there are any issues in the ROM for yourself.

Is it useful to use a custom kernel on a MIUI ROM ?

Hi, due to multiple problems on Lollipop ROMs on MI3, I finally came back to the latest sMIUI ROM.
I know that the new Kernels can be applied to KitKat ROMs, but is there benefits for it? I mean, will it bring back the 5.x problems like HDR not working, etc?
And more technically, how can those Kernels are finally able to work on both 4.4 and 5.1 now, and not from the beginning?
Thank you in advance.
HDR is now working in custom Roms

Ah, good news! But HDR isn't the reason I left Lollipop, I kept having network and touchscreen problems :
- Impossible to send or receive MMS (no matter what APN or setting I use)
- Impossible to access to some services or update applications data over 3G (couldn't download a file on Google Drive, couldn't see a video on YouTube, couldn'd refresh posts on 9gag...)
- And sometimes, the touchscreen was buggy, it didn't responded well, so I had to lock-unlock the phone a few times before it start working properly
So for now I'll stay on MIUI KitKat, but I would like to tweak it so it will be at its best

First thing is you cannot use a lp kernel in kitkat rom such as miui and smiui. But you can use custom kernels like GOD'S KERNEL, MOSHI etc. Search the forum.

My power button is loose and I use zeurionx, I think it's compatible with miui and aosp. It has wake gestures dt2w and s2w.

Recharge screen problem when shutted down after flashing CM14.1

Hi guys !
I recently flashed my XT1092 to Cyanogenmod 14.1 Nougat ROM and I have a problem when charging my phone.
It's not a vital problem because my phone is still charging but my phone is not showing the percentage on the screen as before.
It appeared after the flash of the custom ROM.
You will find the screen in the attachements.
Anyone experienced this problem ? If you have a solution it would be nice.
Thanks to you
Hi! Try to flash a custom kernel for Cyanogenmod 14.1 from this thread!
There is a kernel to flash for CM 14.1 ? In which thread can I find it ?

Thanks ! I managed to get my percentage back with this kernel ! But I have a problem, in the properties of the phone it tells "unavailable" on kernel version.
And it works but I would like to know why it didn't work, isn't the kernel supposed to be packaged with CM ROM ?
