[Q] Deleted Google play services (via Rootking), Bricked phone? - Huawei Ascend P7

I'd appreciate if you could help a fella here.
So I did something stupid today, first off wiped data/cache and restored phone to factory settings. That's all good.
Then I opened Rootking and thought, hey let's see what I could delete to ez the battery life, seen someone here having bare essentials. So deleted all google play, google + etc. stuff.
Then phone started displaying ton of google related errors, some apps weren't working etc.
So I thought, hmm wipe data/cache again... FML didn't work. Phone turns on, works "normally". ROM Manager doesn't work. ROM Installer Works.
Downloading as I type "ROM 5 - P7 L10 Unicom B126" stock rom from needrom.com/download/ascend-p7/
ROM Installer has the "Install ROM File" and options "
-backup current ROM
- Wipe Data & Cache
- Wipe dalvik-cache
What can I do?

You can either flash the original firmware again with the three button method or from the phone's updater or you could install the Google Play Services apk from here.

Flashed stock rom via Local Update Future... got it all back. DL'd service did nothing.
Thx for help again.

[Q] Team hacksung ics build - Google apps not installing!!

I've got teamhacksungs ics build 16 on my sgs i9000, but after coming from an earlier build and doing a factory reset it wont let me install google apps on my phone. Ive tried flashing multiple different google app versions through recovery and even downloading and installing it straight from rom manager but it starts off installing it and then aborts. Ive even tried installing the market apk on my phone with no luck as it just crashes every time i open the market app.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
Here´s what worked for me:
1. Install the ROM again.
2. Make a full wipe including cache and dalvik.
3. Boot normally.
4. Restart into recovery Mode.
5. Choose the Gapps V7.1. and install it.
6. Do a full wipe again.
Maybe this will help.

Hi,
I am really frustrated, after a factory reset of SlimBean 2.8, which rebooted to often, I have the described problem on my Nexus S.
I tried the above ... one of the steps of the first method described the change of DPI, I guess that is the first value you can change in the "developer options" > "LCD density" to a higher DPI ... reboot and other steps ... didn't work. The second method with clearing cache and dalvik then reinstalling OS and Gapps rebooting, then clearing data of play store and service ... reboot ... still same problem.
Then I installed the latest playstore from an APK file ... after that it tells me my device is not supported (tough it used to run on the device).
If I can't fix this, I'll switch to Cyanogen or stock possibly ROM, though I really like the SlimBean features.
Any further clues before I do this?
Thanks & regards
Joe

[Q] ROM'ed Phone, Factory Fresh, No ClockworkMod No Google Play

I ROM'ed my phone with CynogenMod 10.1.0 RC3. When I did that I got a "failure" message when I attempted to install GApps (I think it was a partial download). I continued with the ROM anyway. But now I have essentially a Factory fresh phone but I don't have Clockwork Mod or Google Play installed.
So how can I now install the correctly downloaded GApps? I also don't see how to go back to my previous ROM.
I ROM'ed my phone because I was getting the ("unfortunately, .... has stopped") for many programs again.
The problem is also that if I go to Google Play (in the browser on my phone or on my desktop PC) I can't install any of the Apps I had because they are "already installed" and anyway I don't have the Google Play downloader on my phone.
Help.
I sideloaded ClockworkMod ROM Manager.
(System Settings / check "Unkown Sources" to allow them; dowloaded the .apk and opened it with FileManager)
Used that to get ClockworkMod Recovery
Booted into Recovery and ROM'ed CyanogenMod and the correctly downloaded GAapps.
I now have a happy phone.
The real question is why these "unfortunately, .... has stopped" error messages keep coming back even after I ROM and do
- Factory Reset
- Clear Cache
- Clear Dalvik cache

Could be because of the Gapps package, I've had that problem before.

Okay, but how to I find out if GApps is the problem, and if it is then what do I do?

Try do a flash just without gapps, see if everything works then. If everything's fine, then flash in gapps. See if that causes any problems.
If that does cause problems, then I'm not quite sure, a fresh install fixes most problems...

[Q] Grey wifi and no google services after evervolv update

Hi,
i've installed evervolv on my touchpad (2013.11.02 nighty).
I have done a clean install, and haven't restored anything.
Everything was perfect until i decided (the day after) to update my rom.
I did it with the included updating tool. After the reboot, my wifi bars were grey, and it was impossible too run google play.
So i flashed again gapps. No result. So i've deleted google services cache, google play cache...... no result
I restored my last backup (2013.11.02 nighty) : it worked perfectly. So i decided to install the update manually : wipe cache, wipe dalvik and apply zip in CWM. Same problem.
So i re-did a clean install of the last updated rom, and everything worked. another update? Grey wifi! F..k!
To resume : everytime i clean install Evervolv everything is perfect, everytime i update evervolv (manually ou automatically) i have grey wifi bars and non google play.
Do you know anything i can do?
Sometimes you just gotta accept that a nightly build won't work for your purposes and move on. Either keep the old version or try a different rom.
Do you clear the caches as part of the update?

Yes, cache and dalvik

Problem getting Gapps

First off, I'm new here despite having visited this site many times before. Glad to be here!
So, I recently flashed CyanogenMod 12.1 to my Moto G (xt1045). It's worked well so far but my only issue is that I can't seem to get Gapps on my phone no matter how many times or ways I've tried. I've wiped the Dalvik cache, done a factory reset, adb side loading...pretty much everything, but to no avail. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Does the developer recommend any gapps? Did you try these: http://opengapps.org/ ?
Flash through TWRP,in the upcoming menu you can chose which apps you´d like to have, which ones should be replaced etc. Wipe Cache/dalvik afterwards.
If you try to flash gapps what happens? Any error message? Just nothing?
Yes, the CyanogenMod site provided several links which I tried originally tried, and I also used your links but with no success. When the phone reboots, right after I swipe the lockscreen to unlock, I get a message that says "Unfortunately, Google Play Services has stopped working.". Sometimes it reappears several more times after I tap 'ok'.
I tried flashing Gapps using my first recovery which is CWM. When none of that worked I flashed TWRP, then restarted the whole process and still nothing. Does it make a difference that CWM was there first? Also, in TWRP I see no option for choosing which Gapps to be installed.
Normally you put the zip file with the Gapps on your SD card and when you push the "install"button in TWRP just scroll down until you find the zip and use the slider to flash them.
I don´t know your rom but often the procedure is to to factory reset and wipe the phone(Dalvik, Data, Cache and System), then flash the rom, wipe dalvik/cache and then let the phone boot one time. Skip all the steps in the setup process until you get to the homescreen, then reboot the phone into recovery again and flash the gapps. After that wipe cache/dalvik again and let the phone boot.
If you flash the gapps directly after the rom without rebooting there can be issues between sytem apps of the rom like for example playstore and playservices and the flashed Gapps.
Cool, I'll try that. I read somewhere to start with a clean slate ROM so I'm downloading CyanogenMod again. When it finishes I'll do what you suggested and report back.
