[Q] getprop errors while installing a ROM via CWM?

I rooted, then unlocked the phone, then went installing the CWM contained in the "all in one tool" thing in the development forum for our device. Sadly, I cant seem to install any ROM, I always initially get some sort of getprop error? Any ideas?

What version of CWM is installed ?
You need 6.0.3.1 to install custom roms.

6.0.2.8 .... I before tried the thing from the CWM thread, with this warning of not working on V20 beta something, installed by an apk? That one was not bootable before and sort of rendered my phone dead, as it woul dnot boot into the installed LG ROM as well after I tried the install. I had to do an emergency reinstall of LGs own ROM with the LG Support Tool ... so I don't trust that CWM there ..... I'm not sure, which ones will work on my Euro P880.

Do u have any workable rom installed ?
You can download Rom Manager from play store and then download and install cwm 6.0.3.1. from rom manager

Nope ... ROM is broken. I can't even put the original LG ROM on it ... the LG USB drivers seem not compatible with W8.

Have you tried to run LG Support Tool as Administrator - it helped me to install original LG ROM

Ok, managed to do it somehow ... it's installing by means of emergency install ... I hope it runs through

they're compatible, but it's a hassle to make them work. you gotta reinstall your drivers every time you need to use S/W mode, and after you install, check device manager, some components are installed as unrecognized, you gotta update driver -> automatic search.

After you unlock your bootloader how to install CWM 6.0.3.1
Download the tool ,,
http://d-h.st/HFR
extract the folder
open the folder
find file with name: O4X_CWM.img
rename it to something else e.g. O4X_CWM_old.img
Download new cwm (i gave you link before, but here is another

put recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.3.1-p880.img file in the same folder as your renamed file (O4X_CWM_old.img)
rename recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.3.1-p880.img to O4X_CWM.img
Right click on "[All-In-One][P880].bat" choose run as administrator
The tool will ask you if you have the drivers ,, install them if you don't have .
The tool will show you 8 options .
In your phone go to Settings/Developer Options/Check "USB Debugging" ,,
then connect phone .
choose CWM Recovery option.
wait for complete
disconnect phone
Turn off phone
Turn on phone with vol down pressed.
It should load cwm 6.0.3.1
It worked on my phone, good luck

Whopeee ... operation successful! I can finally install the rom The touch feature of that CWM is reall yfantastic .. no more crazy volume button rocking. Thanks much!
To sum up what I did in short:
- Started with Euro 4.1.2 LG original ROM.
- Press Power/Vol Down to get into the tiny original blue Menu
- Chose install by ADB
- used the root package for 4.1.2 (small thing linked in here), just ran root.bat in a administrator cmd shell on windows --> rooted phone
- Unlocked phone using the cat & echo of the file named in here --> unlocked
- Used the all in one tool with the new CWM file to install the CWM
Now to check out those roms.... I hope one of them is sophisticated enough not to be a crazy battery eater and heat producer...
(man, these guessing games on which info on here is accurate every few months drives me completely crazy..... but in the end it's great)

mobile network not available

Hi guys ... I was have CM11 on my s3 mini .. yesterday I have install CM 11.0 kitkat 4.4.4 ... but it was have many problems so I had back to the previous version .... but the systems Smashed each other :\ ... so I was go to CWM recovery ===> mounts and storage >> and format all
now I cant call or message any one from my phone and it's says "mobile network not available " ... and in the end of lock screen "no servise - UMNIAH " " * : UMNIAH is the network mobile company " ... the IMEI not changed .
help me pleeeease :crying:

it seems that the modemfs folder went away - not good bud...
1. system settings - more - mobile networks - APNs - is your provider set there?
2. if yes then your modemfs is damaged. Look at this post from @tys0n (give him a thanks if it solves your problem). ATTENTION: this is only for GT-I8190
3. flash newest baseband (XXANF3)

Serious problem can do anything with my k3 note

Hi guys, i have a serious problem... i flashed this rom ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/k3-note/development/chost-rom-v2-1-lenovo-k3-note-k50-t3398131 ), all was ok, but now everything FC after reboot... and i cant go back to stock, because i cant wipe or reflash recovery, there is PERMANENT TWRP 302-3 which CANT wipe anything or flash anything... what can I do? i tried SP flashtools, but i do something wrong, because it reboots my phone instead of start flashing...

It doesnt matter, i just need working phone... I preffer stock rom my device is K50-T5
i tried everything, TWRP, SP flashtools... but i cant write anything to this phone, doesnt matter how...

Problem u may faced is :- u havnt changed Download Agent or Scatter Loading in Spflash tool it's default from ur ghost ROM, to install new ROM change folder from new ROM ..
Backup your data+ IMEI.
Mobile should be rooted , install or flash CWM recovery
if success ,
then , flash spflash tool below link Marshmallow cuckoo92 or via CWM install downloaded zip .

I have twrp, but it cannot flash anything same as SP flash tools i have chinese k50-t5 +TD LTE so... what can I do next? in the link provided thereis no posibiliti to flash via SP flash tools...

Final Answer:- Remove Twrp and install CWM .
Download ROM below link register free download all types of Roms you get ,flash CWM via adb tools from pc,
if this flash dsnt work, then check data cable, learn how to flash from youtube,

if there is no possibility to flash it means you have flash via CWM ,to open boot recovery switch off mobile press volume buttons + power button both u get menu CWM ,search ROM from sdcard and update that zip.

ok, I downloaded CWM from rootjunkysdl, tried flash via Flashtools, it said succes, but there is still TWRP, tried to flash it using fastboot flash recovery recovery.img, it said done, but there is still TWRP which cant wipe or flash anything...

I'm not sure how to fix the problem with radio. Did you try to reflash stock rom again or what did you do?

Hi,
For flashing new rom, you need to use SP flash tool. I hope you know how to use SP flash tool, if not, learn how to use it first and then use SPflash.

Why doesn't this new update appear on the automatic updates section on the phone?

Try to flash newer update V25.
Use SP flash tool to flash the newer update. Let it run through the setup, and then factory reset.
Te problem should be fixed.

It does not work install the v25 and I did the factory reset and it follows me in 4g and not in 4glte and the imei says unknown please help me thanks :crying:

You must do something wrong. Try it again.
Flash rom v25.
Start your phone and follow the setup (language=>wifi=>google account=>.......).
Now in your phone go to setting and find factory reset.
Reset your phone and reboot.
Don't use TWRP for factory reset, it wont work.

How To Use SPflash tool
Found this at link below with some factory ROMs, latest was V22. Good instruct on using the SP Flash tool. Sorry for the all caps, that's how I got it and I don't feel like retyping it.

Want to add, if you have TWRP installed, like I did, it will be gone and so will your root, this wipes the phone completely, just like new when finished. And since it works powered off, as long as you can get the phone to turn off, you can recover it. Excellent design feature, why can't they all do that, and give you a switch to allow unlocked boot loader in settings. You will need to re-root after doing above.

Hey! To restore your IMEI you should use Maui META. You will need the stock Android 6.0 firmware (unzipped) as the program uses a file within the firmware. You do not need to flash the rom, just need it for the file. Your Imei should be on the original box that the phone came in. POWER OFF YOUR PHONE BEFORE DOING THIS OR ELSE IT WON'T WORK!!! [GUIDE] Full Root For Samsung Galaxy J5 Pro SM-J530F

Today I show You How you can Full Root For Samsung Galaxy J5 Pro SM-J530F
Note
1. Ensure that your Device atleast 50% charge During Flashing Process,to Stop the Accidentally Switch off.
2.Follow all steps correctly otherwise it cause bootloop.
3. Must backup NVRAM using this Guide before Doing anything.​-----
Require tools and Files-
odin Download
SuperSu Download
twrp Download
Patched boot.img Download
-----
Part -1) Install twrp Recovery :
Step-1) First, enable ‘USB debugging’ and ‘OEM Unlock’ option from setting>developer option>.
To enable Developer Options, go to About phone and tap the Build Number 7 times.
Step-2) Now download the Latest TWRP Recovery for your device.
Step-3) Now Download the Odin tool from above and extract the zip file.
Step-4) Run the Odin.exe file on your PC.
Step-5) Connect your Galaxy Device to your PC with the data cable and reboot into the Download/Odin mode.
Step-6) To enter into download mode turn off your phone and press and hold the ‘Home + Volume Down + Power’ buttons together until you see the download mode screen.
Step-7) Once you enter into Download mode, you see anID: COM port turned blue and Added message in Odin message box means your device has recognized by Odin.
Step-8) If ID: COM doesn’t show means your driver is not correctly installed or try it with different USB cable.
Step-9) Now locate and add the twrp–xxx.img.tar file (you downloaded from above) to the AP/PDA tab in Odin.
Step-10) Make sure that only these two options are tick “Auto Reboot” and “F.Reset Time“
Step-11) Now click ‘Start‘ button and it will start flashing the file. Wait until you see ‘Pass‘ in Green Color on Odin screen.
This step will Install TWRP Recovery On Your Samsung Device
12) Now Your device will automatically reboot. That’s it. You Install TWRP Recovery on Galaxy Device successfully.

Part -2) Root :
Step 1. Download Supersu From above and Save it to Device Storage. [internal or external].
Step 2. Switch off Your Phone and Press Power and volume button to boot Your Device into twrp.
Step 3. On twrp Recovery Go to backup tab and create a nandroid backup, Must Select all partition’s including ESF.
Step 4. Go to wipe tab and Do a factory Reset. Don’t Select any System partition. otherwise it will erase it.
Step 5. Go to install tab, Locate Downloaded SuperSu.zip and Confirm Install, wait for Success Done.
Step 6. flash Patched boot.img if Present. ( in twrp )
Step 7 .Reboot System Now.

It works.. did it last day. ****ed up my camera and sounds nothing else

You mean rooting broke your camera and speaker? Can you be more specific?

I just followed the instruction in the main post and no issue, no need to flash a different kernel

What version of stock ROM should already be installed for this Rooting instructions to work? I am currently using PDA J530FXWU2AQL4 and CSC J530FOJV2AQL1. Will this work?

I followed this thread to root my J5PRO. But when I reboot the system, I get back to the TWRP project screen again and again.

I experienced the same problem, so I had to re-install the stock firmware via Odin. Just look for the stock firmware on the internet (for your phone- mine is J530F), then download Odin and flash it. The process is straightforward and available on the internet, especially YouTube.

Problem with recovery, now Boot-loop
Followed the instructions
When I tried to backup the phone, the storage spaces were all 0MB.
Then obtained error:
' Could not mount /data and unable to find crypto footer'
Now phone is stuck on bootloop.

On j530F sometimes it has mount so you have to reboot recovery after some actions. At least for me
