If you use Bitti's CM 12.1, you should try updating the kernel to latest stable Stuxnet+. There's a screen color saturation option on the kernel, using Kernel Adiutor.

Strange colors

Hello,
A few days ago, I bought SGSI. All nicely, but my friend buy galaxy s too, and I see a difference in our phones, screens exactly (Galaxy S, not S+ or S SLC). Colors in my SGS are very light, e.g. dark gray is simply gray, but deep black characteristic to SAMOLED is deep black. There is a photo of dim mode of clock, and detail- gray bar in the notification bar. It looks like 8bit colors. What's wrong is with my phone? Is that another screen than super amoled? Or is it break?I hope You help me I upload more photos of comparing our screens, which had not yet. Sorry for my baaaaad english.

After a reboot, the screen turns pink.
Ive flashed and changed roms, formatted, cleaned partitions, did just about anything and it only works with stock rom and no with custom roms
I think there is no problem with the LCD at all

Did you try playing with the GPU rendering?
Settings - Developer options - Force GPU rendering (actually all options under Drawing can cause problems if they are not set properly.
Do you use any specific kernel or you always stay with stock one? Have you tried SlimBean ROM?
edit: after checking pics again, I see that you have glitches even in recovery  I would say it could be a HW problem, broken cable or something like that. Flashing custom roms and the broking of cable at the same time can be a serious coincidence (or have you tried going back to stock 2.3.6?)

Stock 2.3.6 works fine so I think there is no problem with the LCD at all.
Cyanogenmod with ClockworkMod kernel turns the screen pink, but then I flash stock rom 2.3.6 with stock kernel and everything is fine.
I've tried flashing other roms like MIUI with Kernel Mackay CMC and it turns the screen pink as well.
Something in the custom kernels is not working on my device.

[Q] Are there any chance to port Voodoo colors?

Since I've updated to Android 4.2.2 and the new 3.4 kernels don´t drain the battery, I'm very happy with the phone.
But the problem are the colors, white seems grey, all colors have blue tone, etc. If we could adjust this would be the best
Greetings

I don't know if you know this, but this is a development thread. The I9001 has a question and answer topic in general I9000 section and also an Off-Topic thread.
This is not the right place for your question.
Sorry for being so rude but this is the truth.

Stefano

Which resurrection remix is the best?

There are 4 versions (more or less) of Resurrection Remix ROMs (e.g Zenity, Sultan's, EAS-VOX) for the 3T and i don't know which to choose. I'm looking for the most stable, battery friendly and OMS-supported out of all of them. Support for custom kernels would also be nice but if it doesn't support them it's okay. Also, if there are any ROMs that has most of the features i listed, do let me know
Hi, i had same problem. And i did choose that one: https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=http...sQE_8mxFikIynqJh4-cR9FyJiJ2kS201c6wpHZZNl&s=1
Everything is just fine

I think they are all good but this version -> https://forum.xda-developers.com/on...development/rom-resurrection-remix-m-t3399960
Is the best in my opinion.
1. most frequent updates.(currently even nightlies)
2. comes with ex kernel
3. is the only aosp/laos rom out there that doesnt throttle while playing moderncombat.
I tried all other aosp/laos roms, not only all rr roms. And they all start throttling while playing moderncombat even with the same ex kernel and kernel settings. The game simply starts lagging because the cpu clocks down. And the funny thing is the device doesnt even start heating.
I was almost sure that the official rr is better but i switched back to the custom version and was shocked that it never throttles while playing even when gpu boost is on "high". You can also set the kernel settings using akt app to get better battery life. But for me the battery is good enough.

Zenity is with EAS and with a kernel based on Renderkernel.
Sultanized RR is not based on official LOS, rather on sultans LOS 14.1
more infos you can get in their threads (OP). I would choose one of these. Both are stable and with OMS

That's your decision. I think you are happy with both. Read here for more infos about EAS: https://www.linaro.org/blog/core-dump/energy-aware-scheduling-eas-project/

But Vertex has not many features, right?
I have official RR installed, but now I am unsure, if I should use one of the unofficials?!?
Are there many differences?

Yes, Vertex has only a few features but is extremly stable and fast.
The official is good too, almost all roms for our phone are good. It's your choice

[Q] New to the xiaomi Mi A2 - Brightness & 3rd party roms.

Hi,
So after I broke the screen on my MI 8 lite I decided to try the MI A2.
Is there any way to set a minimum brightness to the auto brightness feature ? The screen seems very dim on android pie.
Maybe a different rom will fix this for me ? Are there good reasons to flash a 3rd party rom or are you satisfied with the stock ?
on the MI 8 lite the screen was 3x brighter and if I am not wrong, they should have the same (or very similar) panels.
Go with other custom ROMs. The stock one is always buggy. Try Pixel Experience or Havoc OS, and if you want you can install Hex Kernel.
Stock ROM is bugged (wifi, brightness, system stuffs) but also custom ROM have common bugs such as do not recognize headphones, lose your touches... It's a good device it doesn't disappoint but u gotta try by yourself
Thanks! Any advice on what is the most stable and bug free rom?
