Hello, rather a new ish member to XDA. Well im not new,I've always used xda, just never had an account, made an account, haven't used it since til now,so excuse me if this is in the wrong category.
I,being a fan of Milk music, miss having a samsung just because I can't get it any way else. I noticed that there was a hack before, and a while back i tried that, it didn't work. I couldn't get samsung account to work and it would skip all songs until it would spam the notification that I've hit skip limit.
So the main question is: Is there a new milk music hack to work on 5.1 devices(my nexus 6 for example) or at least the new version of Milk, or am I forever doomed without the wonderful app?

to answer your question, I am clueless, since I stay away from Samsung devices. BUT.. I can help you in XDA. you posted your question in the general category. instead, all questions, or if help is needed, these questions get posted into the q&a/help section. so, since you are looking for an answer, I'll ask a mod to move your thread into the correct section.

Hi, a quick search for your question, yielded no results from this forum. However, have a look here:

See if you can find anything similar. Good luck!
Thank you both! seems to be that there's nothing yet. Oh well.

So I wrote and published an app - I can see it on AppBrain and people have been downloading it, but I don't see it...
What gives?
http://www.appbrain.com/app/mammoth-mountain-lift-status/com.snyamathi.MammothMountain
Being censored by at&t? Turn on airplane mode then turn on wifi and access the market through that connection and search for it.
Hmmm I still don't see it. I asked my friend (droid on Verizon) if he could see it and he said that he can. Odd
I can see it on my cappy on att with docs rom kitchen rom. Came right up when I searched mammoth mountain

Searched mammoth mountain and it came up for me as well on serendipity. Only other thing would be the fingerprint in the build prop that most use which changes it to verizon. I will flash stock and check it later today out of curiosity.

Google developer's forums would be able to help you. Also here on xda, the android apps forums would be a place to ask. Not at all coming down on you. I can think of quite a few reasons why I'd ask that question here to a small helpful community. Just trying to give a couple places to ask if you don't find an answer here. Good luck, and I'll have to check out your app.
From a phone
I'll have to check that out - I've been having a lot of trouble with things not showing up in my market, not just this app.
When I search "Mammoth Mountain" all I get is 3 results for "Gps Skis Maps USC/CAN". Still can't see it, really frustrating...
Shows up on my captivate and I'm just running rooted JH7
I figured out the problem:
By disabling content protection (makes it harder for people to copy your app off of the phone) the application now shows up in my marketplace. Something about that made it invisible to me.
If you don't have it here it is. This is the newest version of the market. Im posting it because its such a major update and I know people are gonna want it early instead of waiting for it to show up in roms. I've tested it on Apex (latest version) and it is working perfect. I do know that the movies wont play on rooted devices so dont rent or buy movies. But that isn't a program issue that's a restriction that Google has imposed on us and considering everyone reading this is gonna have a rooted phone, most likely, its important I tell (warn) you about it. Also if for some reason you have an issue with me posting this don't bother me about it. Im just posting it for the people that want it. Also if for some reason you dont know how to install just go into the system apps folder then remove the old market and paste this one.
EDIT.... There is another thread that I didn't notice before I posted this so if you wanna download from that thread that's fine. Its all the same though.
Love it

read the edit in the OP. Fair enough?
This new market is baked into the rom that Im currently, and I've gotta say that it seems so much smoother than the last android market release, and the layout of the apps and info makes it a much more pleasant experience IMO. Thanks for posting the .apk
Before I ask my last question, yes, I am a girl, that loves technology, games, and Android. I was in iOS before, always creating mods, and always tweaking and stuff. I gave my good bye to iOS, since Android lets you do MUCH more. iOS is too specific, popular, secured etc for me.
Back on Topic y'all!
So, yesterday I successfully rooted my Nexus 7, 4.2.1 using WugFresh's Toolkit. It is now rooted, but still new.
What do I have to do, to be able to fully theme my Nexus 7? Example, to change navigation bar color, and police color, the maximum customisation I could get for my Nexus 7. I looked on Google, but, nothing. Thanks!
PS: Think I can even modify/edit/mod ANY games I have on my Nexus?
Thanks y'all take care okey! xoxx
Try going to http://mycolorscreen.com and checking out some of the home screens there. Each one can be viewed, and include some information regarding what apps were used to make the screen look the way it does.
You probably should have posted this in the last thread you started.
Starting multiple threads is a no-no here.
To answer your question, I advise you to look in the themes section of the nexus forum or do a Google search for 'xda theme tutorial' there are a few of them around and I've come across a few of them as I browsed through various forums.

Ya its just so the forum doesn't get cluttered up, but I see your point about the last one, went a bit OT
Do you have any interest in building Android or anything like that?
It's quite simple and there are plenty guides there for that too on the net.

OP - I closing this, because this is a well discussed topic. Please take some time and do some additional reading and research..
With the devices that are getting the software update for the camera, are the camera improvements in the actual camera app, or are they system level? Would it be possible for someone who updated to the new OTA to simply post their camera apk and everyone else replace the one on their device with the new one to get the updated camera?

system level. goes beyond just the apk. Verizon users like myself are stuck playing the waiting game.
No offense, but can't you search? This question has been asked, basically, every day since the first update rolled out on t mobile.
But to answer your question, it is NOT a simple change to the apk, it is on the system level and perhaps even on the kernel, as the new update updates kernel as well.
Don't view me as an asshole, it's just silly how many times this same question has been asked and answered in this forum over the last several days.

I did search, but Im not going to dig through pages and pages of threads, **** gets lost around here rather quickly. If there was another thread with this being discussed, just link the thread. Or if you are going to be an asshole, dont say anything. Especially if the post right above you gives me the answer I was looking for.
Took me 3 minutes to find these and there are several more.
Don't get all defensive and don't use laziness as an excuse... This forum is indeed meant for questions and answers, but article 1 of the forum rules instructs their users to search.
I know there is a lot to sift through, but by just taking a little time to keep yourself informed goes a long way. Case in point; All these people posting about their devices bootlooping, after the update. Who didn't bother to stay informed and didn't know that the current root method alters recovery and causing bootloops. They ended up wasting their time, probably lost data etc... When all they needed to do was read up a little bit. I'm not even rooted, nor do I care to with this phone, yet I still knew.
This forum, even in its infancy, is packed full of great information... But it gets buried under thread after thread of repeated questions. Anyone who decides that it's not worth their time to search and simply asks, only make this issue worse and increases the difficulty for other to find the valuable information that this forum houses...
But hey, that's just me, I'm just an asshole who prefers to follow the rules and consciously regard my fellow users before clutter the forum with useless repeated posts... Damn, I sure am a bad guy.

This is not a rant or a moan or whatever you want to call it. This is just clearing a few things up after the last few days what i have been reading on the forum.
Firstly support for N4 will still be there after this update, and i am sure we have at least one more major update to come for our beloved device. People saying that our phone will be next are just talking rubbish. People all over the forum are crying thinking that our device will be next. Until a confirmation from Google can people please stop with the conspiracy theories.
Also regarding with the launcher. Now i am not that really bothered if it gets released or not as i do not use Google Now. But again were is the official confirmation that the launcher will not be included for our device? There is none. Just tech sites writing there stuff as usual and every one is lapping it up and making a fuss.
I love my phone and i do not see a reason why i should upgrade to the Nexus 5. I do not want though people in the forum to start moaning about things that are not official yet from the God itself which is Google. Yes they are not perfect but until the actual release gets to our device and we have things missing then fine all hell can break lose.
Oh and one last thing. Yes am gutted that we not got the update soon as the release came out but we are still the first to get it were other mega devices are not getting it at least December or Xmas the earliest..So am still thankful for the Nexus line. But that will start not meaning anything soon anyway if they carry this new strategy of there to put money first before anything else.
But till then please take a chill pill people.
This will get shut down and deleted am sure but i just wanted people to read this and seriously take it easy till there is ACTUAL CONFIRMATION by GOOGLE THEMSELVES..
Mods sorry if this should not be here but sometimes a man has enough when reading through the forums and having whiny kids whine all the time.
And to add...We are XDA...If things go missing and are not included in the build that our beloved N4 should get then people trust our great and respectful Developers here who are if you do not mind me saying better than those at Google..We will have those features that the N5 has and if not should be better build than stock...So please show your support for our devs and less whining and help this place for newbies instead of moaning all the time about something that has not been confirmed yet
:highfive: for you!
This is exactly my opinion on the subject.
If you are on XDA, odds are that you know how to mod your phone, and believe me, everything that will not come with the official OTA will be made avaliable soon here on XDA.
Right, you might need root, you can argue you do not want to root but then what is the point of your anger if you do not want to take action to get something you want?
Just wait for Google to release the OTA and everything will be clear!
Should be soon I guess

exactly my friend. until something has been confirmed i do not understand why people are panicking. and by the next update which will be by summer time our phone should be more than capable to handle it and i am sure we are in for that to. phones should have a support from the OS development team ie Google at least maximum two years...so why are people are stressed is beyond me.
Now as the Galaxy Nexus that is a strange one and Google should state the reasons why they are not supporting it but again that is nothing to do with me or concerns me..But for people to start saying that the N4 is next is beyond silly to say

Sure there is confirmation. It is not included in the Nexus 7 WiFi KitKat update. And Google confirmed it with The Verge and said it is possible they will bring it to other devices other than the N5 someday but not initially.
Great post OP.. You know what I think it is? Purely my opinion after mulling over how absolutely weird the 4.4 rollout and release has been.
Ever been in a corporate environment where someone important is replaced? It's hell.. JBQ left and was replaced.. So here you have a new guy who is pulling the old corporate "I'm new and have to flex my superiority and change things to make it look like I'm doing something different and being productive" (ie: Fishing for his next promotion).. This happens in nearly every business.. It's hilarious to watch happen in real life because most employees know it's coming.. 3 months later after everyone hates the new guy and his useless changes everything goes right back to the way it was. I'm certain all the rumblings this is causing is being heard..

It has to do with the Ti core not being supported anymore. Also, not being supported by Ti did not meant it doesn't work for Galaxy Nexus, just means Google would not support a device without former support to its hardware.
Anyways, Galaxy Nexus got 4.4 already, go Install it

To be honest the reason why i opened this thread is to get my opinion about the many things that i have read on the forum. Many false information that is going around by others is beyond ridiculous because they listen to tech sites most of them without any proper confirmation by Google itself...Now as to regarding the updates that are coming for our device if there is an official changelog by Google to say what are the changes from the older nexus devices compare to the N5 then i will eat my hat if it is out already stating what we are getting and missing out on..
But again people forget that XDA is here to help..Hence why we should not be ranting and raving
What am trying to say is that i want this thread to stick to a proper adult discussion about our device regarding the build that we should get..And i do not want people to give mis-information till we get it from the Big Boss itself

I can understand your point here OP but, the purpose of forums such as this one is to allow for open discussion on a topic. I see no issue with speculation or assumption as long as people keep their heads. That is, after all, what makes things interesting and keeps people intrigued. If we went purely on the facts at hand 100% of the time, discussions would end fairly quickly and most forums would be desolate places.
