Recently I started having an issue as to where I can't hear callers on the other end. Also, I can't even hear it ring when I dial a number.
The people on the other end can hear me just fine.
I've tried flashing different radios new and old. I've tried using a "mixer" file from another thread that people said would fix it along with a 5.0.x radio but nothing works. I've also tried several different roms but still nothing.
Aside from flashing back to complete stock (unrooted and everything) I'm at a loss.
Any help?
This is a Tmobile Nexus 6 BTW.

Honestly, my recommendation would be to flash the T-Mobile factory image. I know you don't want to but most likely, it will fix your issue. Make a backup in TWRP then save to your PC. Then flash the image, flash TWRP. Then make a new backup (needed to create the backup folder in TWRP) then copy your backup from PC to that folder, then restore. If the problems reoccur after restoring your backup, restore your new backup.
Thanks. I guess if nobody else has any idea's that's what I'll be doing when I get home tonight.

Well, you could try a different radio first. ???
I had a similar issue about a week ago. Couldn't hear the person I was calling or the ringing either. All I did was reboot the phone and it started working again. I'm on an unlocked 64gb stock rooted and using on Verizon.

Rebooting doesn't fix it for me.

I am sure this has been asked before, but searching ia causing a FC for me. So I ask of you all, has anyone tried returning their rooted captivate? I have one that is build 1007 and I keep hearing that the gps works on build 1012 so I want to switch mine for one of those. So has anyone tried this? Does it work? Is there any risk in trying, like are they going to send me a new one, find out mine is rooted and charge me 500 for the new one? Obviously I would flash stock and if possible without rooting again, recover my imei and product code.
I don't need to hear "oh they can tell or oh just flash stock and it should be fine " I want to hear from people that have tried this or actually know something about it.

3 phones so far.
Restore to stock using ODIN 1 click, and give it back. Make sure u format ur internal SD before u restore to stock to remove any traces left on sd card.
I am 10.07 build now, and GPS works great! The refurbs u get in 10.07 too are working fine. Looks like Samsung corrected them.
Returned a phone that was previously rooted. Removed root, using olcf app. Factory reset, reformat internal sd. Had no issues

I just downgraded phone to 2.3.6 so I could wipe and OTA upgraded back to 4.0.4. Rooted w Mobile Odin Pro.
I am having a problem I haven't experienced before. Made a few phone calls since, and on multiple calls the phone will Beep once and then disconnect. I am not touching anything or doing anything. I am on ATT USA in CA. Anyone know what could be causing this?

I'm getting the same in UK under O2, have had it under many different roms. It will happen for the same number multiple times until I leave it a while and retry. I imagine it's a network issue, but if anyone has any other suggestions I'd love to hear them.

Same thing here!
I'm in Serbia and have the exact same problem. If I want to get out of that, usualy I have to restart the Note. Not very fancy.
Also when it gets in that state it does'nt receive cals or sms.
I did the same thing, from 4.03 to 2.36 - wipe, and then to 4.04
Probably a bug with the 4.04 modem?
Guess we could try flashing latest gb modems, see if that corrects it. There's a thread in development I think that has all modems listed.

Have had no issues since the other day when I posted, so I'm guessing it was network related. How about you guys?

Not a single issue either...however I did use mobile Odin and down to Gb again...but this time instead of OTA to 4.0.4 I actually flashed it direct with mobile Odin...with clear data etc... maybe that did it for me.. or maybe it was just network

So there it is, I was on CleanROM. did a wipe and rooted with Avatar rom and when I booted in, I set up wifi. installed some apps. then the sd card was messed up. it wouldn't find my pictures or music, so i copied those portions of the sd card and moved them, it asked if I wanted to overwrite and I said yes. I think this is where I screwed myself.
Cause now i have no sprint service at all. Anyone know how to get it back.
Ok so if this helps,I have reverted back to stock. Was on phone with Sprint and HTC and neither of them could fix it. Even tried taking out the SIM and put back in.

I don't know if Sprint had you try this or not, but you can try to reset of your data profile. I went through similar issues you describe a while back and finally was able to restore service by doing so. I documented my results in this thread.
If that doesn't work, you can try the more drastic ##786# reset, but this one will wipe your phone so proceed with caution.
Good luck!
Yeah they had me do both of those. Neither worked though

Howdy
When I answer my ONE, I gotta say hello at least twice, sometimes three times before the caller can hear me.
Anyone have any thoughts about this. I am running D3RP 1.ROM
After reading this I realized it happens to me too. Running stock rooted.

I am willing to bet you are all using google voice. This is a typical symptom of google voice users. From my experience it has to do with voice settings, but it might not be the case. It depends on a combination of things.
Seems as though it is probably happening to all of us on 1.31 being the first update that has HD Voice which, I am guessing, is why we have that issue... Just have to get it working flawlessly now type thing since it is finally here

A lot of evo lte users had the same issue. It seems to be a semicommon HTC issues. Most likely due to HD voice and/or two mics. Something isn't kicking in properly. We've been able to fix the issue with a reset. But there have been rare cases that didn't solve the issue so had the phone replaced. But a reset usually fixed the issue. Also having lte on caused it for some. Switching it to just cdma fixed it for some. Luckily we aren't having data issues. A lot if evo lte owners can't even use the data and has serious call issues when lte/cdma is turned on. Hope this helps
Edit: I should add that you should try turning lte off first before attempting anything else lol. That is a more widespread issue right now

mine does this also, I always get the response after second hello. I have gotten so used to it now I don't even notice it. never even thought about it as a technical issue. http://forum.xda-developers.com/images/smilies/eek.gif
I still don't receive notifications on WiFi and sometimes WiFi lags and I have to disconnect and reconnect for it to work again(I have tried many different WiFis that all my other devices work on). I have tried to clean flash, flashed different radios, different ROMs(Blisspop&Benzo) and asked for help many times and haven't received any it's very frustrating. Can someone please help me resolve this issue.

I see from some of your other posts that you're running Blisspop. Have you tried running another ROM or better yet, going stock?
Do you have this problem on different Wi-Fi networks? As in, not only at home with your own router?
Sorry to sound like a broken record, but please use useful thread titles. Describe your problem/ pose your question in the title, so we don't have to open the thread to find out what your issue is.

I updated my post. I was going to go stock but was hoping I wouldn't have to. I guess I'll just try out the new Marshmallow 6.0 but will that work with MultiRom?
Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
I'd recommend just going stock and seeing if your problem persists or not before starting with the tinkering.
No idea about Marshmallow and multirom, but if it isn't working now, I'm sure it soon will.
Good luck.
