You downgraded which is a NO NO!! There are many warnings about this causing bricks!!
You can try following -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/general/how-to-resurrecting-bricked-moto-x-t2629057 If you have any questions, please post in that thread.

Hello, Sorry for my English =)
Think i got bricked Moto X. It want's power up, button combo don't help, also i cant load into bootloader. (it was try to update by OTA, when android robo processed an upgrade, phone suddenly turned off)
Plugged into USB on Win8, Win7 nothing happend, but in Win XP provide USB connected sound and moto X shows green light in speaker, then i saw in device manager some HUB device connected (Human Interface Devices) like it have correct driver, and no device with yellow exclamation or "QHSUSB_DLOAD" (like at this post .)
After few (maybe 30) seconds connection lost and provide disconnected sound. Green light on Moto X disappears.
Then if i press vol up+vol down+power combo, and plugging again into USB have the same picture.
Now i tried one more try with win8 and saw that reaction to USB it was connected like "HID-compliant vendor-defined device" but get disconnected after few seconds.
Some one have idea?
Than i have update info:
Now when i plugged to wall-charger phone shows green LED light for 5 sec, than disappearing for few minutes and then light again.... OMG it seems like it is alive, but cant log to bootloader =(
And one's more update info:
I was try car charger that have more than 2.5 A, when i plugged phone, green light saw over the time when it was plugged. But 10 minutes didn't get it from deep sleep... =(
maybe this will help

it was running on 4.4.2 software, then i downgrade to 4.2.2. all was fine, but OTA killed it.
So after that, i read that 4.4.2 instaled new bootloader =( that cant be downgraded, and can bricked the phone, it was my mistake =(
So i think i should sent it to Motorola and if i lucky one, they should repair it, or resend new one. or if bad luck i will throw it to the trash =)

Got a Moto G 2014 from WIND Mobile last week. Allowed updates to go through, finished at 4.4.4. Switched to ART assuming it would improve performance. It did not, and I had an issue where every time I boot up it would optimize every app. This made bootup take about 10 minutes. I decided to troubleshoot I would switch back to Dalvik. Began switch to Dalvik with 80% remaining battery. During the runtime switch, it booted up fine. I decided to power it off and then back on again and watch the bootup process as a test just to make sure everything was now fine.
Now, it doesn't respond when I try to power it on. No backlight, nothing on screen, no vibrate, nothing. Holding power and volume down does nothing. Holding power for 120 seconds (something I read online) does nothing.
I would appreciate any help I can get with this from anyone who has faced this issue.

Holding power and volume down does not respond either. I've tried holding both down for as long as 120 seconds and no luck.

Plugging into USB also has no response. It used to vibrate and display a battery status screen immediately after being plugged in. But now, I plug it in and nothing at all.

Yeah that's my next step. Doesn't give me a lot of confidence in this phone. I think anyone planning on trying ART before the Android 5.0 update should beware. Make sure they've backed up their important data and are able to return their phone for replacement, because what triggered this bricking for me was switching back from ART to Dalvik. I made no changes to the bootloader, ROM, etc. This was completely stock.
Thanks for replying!

I believe you're gonna have to re-flash your device. Are you able to enter the boot loader? if yes, then re-flash the device with Stock firmware using ADB. Search the forums for instructions or reply and I'll post them myself. Do post your Device Model also.

It's actually already completely stock. I made no changes to it, besides enabling developer options and changing the runtime to ART (and then back to Dalvik). Model number is XT1064.

Sorry about the confusion, that does make sense. By accessing the boot loader, are you referring to the menu you reach when you hold power and volume down as you power on the phone? If not, what do you mean by accessing the boot loader?
Yep

Okay. So I have no access to that at all. Power and volume down doesn't do anything. Windows seems to recognize it somehow, I hear the device-plugged-in sound, but the device manager doesn't seem to show it listed. I'm guessing I don't have any options left for fixing this, so I'm going to bring it back and see if I can get it replaced on the spot or begin an RMA process.
Try this! All credit goes to Falcon G

For anyone interested in some followup, I went to WIND to see if it could be replaced. They refused to replace it, because there were a few scuff marks around the edge from when I dropped it the night I got it. I went home and called Motorola tech support to look into an RMA. They had me go through the troubleshooting steps. This involved me plugging it back into the charger (now it's been unplugged from my charger all day because I brought it with me for returning). Looks like leaving it unplugged for a while to let the battery discharge did the trick. This time, when I plugged it into the charger, the white LED came on, and I got the white screen with the battery indicator. It was fine.
Here's hoping I don't run into that again.
Hey guys,
I have the AT&T retail version of the Moto X, running 4.4.4, locked and running stock firmware, which I got through MotoMaker in December of 2013
A couple days ago my Moto X screen just went black. It was in my pocket and shut off while I was out of the house. This has happened a couple of times before, so I tried to turn it on, but this time it wouldn't. I though the battery had just unloaded. When I got home and I plugged it in, the screen stayed black and the phone would just vibrate randomly. I assumed it was a sort of boot loop issue.
I tried getting into fastboot and noticed that the screen was actually lighting up. It was a weird mix of all the LEDs turned on showing a mix of green, red, and blue, making a noisy, stripped pattern and it was slowly getting brighter and brighter. I downloaded the XT1058 AT&T 4.4.4 firmware and tried to flash everything new except for erasing the user data, which I would really like to rescue somehow.
So the boot loop issue is gone, but when I press the power button, it vibrates once and my computer doesn't recognize the phone. If I put the phone in fastboot mode, the computer does recognize it and it does show up under fastboot devices and in device manager as an ADB Interface. Unfortunately, I didn't know about USB Debugging before all of this and had it turned off. If I unplug the battery, the computer recognizes it as a "USB Input Device" under Human Interface devices.
So I'm kinda stuck and don't know what to do. It kinda sounds like it could be a battery issue to me? I have had some quick drains before, but I just attributed it it to a lot of screen time. Would a weak/dying battery not be able to power the screen like this and not be able to boot the phone completely?
Thanks,
Dan
With a stock Moto X, I would've contacted Motorola a long time ago.

I tried. My phone was out of warranty and they wanted $100.
My phone does not have an unlocked boot loader (if that matters). I restarted my phone when I noticed it being slow and it booted to the white screen with the HTC logo and "powered by android" written at the bottom. Then it just froze, now it has basically went to a black screen and the buttons on the bottom are blacked out. When I plugged it into my computer it just says connect a device. Any help?

check device manager to see if the phone is in QHSUSB_DLOAD Mode if it is you can try here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2770684
the above fix usually only works on a failed or incorrect firmware flash. if you phone just went into this mode on it's own its normally a hardware failure

that's a hard reboot .. glad it worked out
my note 4 running poprocks and xposed wants to boot up but it never does. it vibrates, gives the jingle, then nothing but a pulsing blue light that goes from blue to almost cyan color. if i pull the battery and connect it to the pc, it vibrates and does a connect/disconnect sound over and over until i hear the jingle but then the light starts again. bad battery? for extra info, the battery on lollipop would give me false reports. it would say like 30% to dead instantly. i was reading it was a lollipop issue cuz others had this same problem. it wasnt that bad tho i would at least get the low battery notification before turning off but recently it never even makes it to that level. so around 20% before it died. also saw in the poprocks thread xposed was killing batteries on samsung devices. i didnt really have any issues before tho until lollipop so thought it was like others had said a lollipop issue on samsung.
How would Xposed kill a battery?
Try this...shut down, pull the battery out, plug the device into the wall, turn it on. Does it work now?

if i plug it in without a battery it does nothing. i tried holding all the buttons for 20secs and it just vibrates then plays the bootup sound then blue pulsing light. also since i tried this last night i would see the screen extremely brief show a line of light when it would either try to start or when i would force a reboot. i would not have noticed it if i wasnt in pitch black.

Have you tried to flash Xposed disabler? Or to flash your whole rom again? Because to me that simply sounds like a broken OS.
Regarding the battery issue, you need to calibrate it after you've flashed a new rom. Use "Battery Calibration' from Google Play.

no i cant access my phone at all the screen is totally black. i was able to odin flash stock rom but after the successful flash via odin i cannot hear a bootup jingle anymore and the blue led is gone. odin is still accessible tho. i was wondering if i should try a mhl but at this point i am not sure if the phone will detect it since IF it is working its still waiting for a setup.
btw who is the developer for the calibration app? there are a few but i would like to have it for future reference.

Strange, so you were able to flash a rom even though your screen was black? Did you enter download mode blindly, or how did you do it?
The dev calls himself NeMa, the app is named Battery Calibration.

blind. i just counted the bootup sequence pressing the keys at the right time. so not sure. gotta buy a heat gun and see if its the screen. also wanted to try mhl but dont know which to try.
I think my battery start failing and phone randomly shuts down in 14 - 25 % battery level, tries reboot itself and usually stuck with blue to cyan pulsating led. Battery pull and connecting to charger always solves the problem.

Damn, I'm sorry. That does really sound like hardware failure.
Hardware same thing just happened to me been on cmremix all year on kit kat bootloader updated 2 weeks ago to 5.0.1 bootloader using the Odin method flashing back to stock than re rooting... Initially phone seemed sluggish but was fine than the phone randomly started turning off would vibrate as to reboot than nothing would appear on the screen but the blue led light would be light up... Went on till last Friday where the phone just died at 60 % phone wouldn't do anything hooked it up to my comp couldn't do anything other than the phone coming up as USB mass storage. Took it T-Mobile they tried everything and it wouldn't do anything I hear lollipop is causing a lot of problems for the 910t anyways got me new phone yesterday its a 910c odd I know and running 5.0.1 thing runs amazing on cmremix 14.2.....I would take it T-Mobile see if its under warranty goodluck
i ordered a heat gun and lifted the display. just as soon as i could peek in, i saw the flex was disconnected. connected the flex and display was back on! luckily it only cost me a heat gun.
