S3 lte i9305 no 3g 4g only 2g wokring help

Got strange problem in my s3 lte.i cant any 3g or 4g service.only 2g is working..
tried hard reset etc but no fix..any idea how to fix it..?
please help

i can make phone calls txt etc perfectly just not getting 3g 4g service.
its on 4.1.2 rooted via cf root..
its showing imei number basebacd etc..
dont know what more i have to say about fault..?

Did you try Settings -> More Settings -> Mobile networks -> Network mode, set it 4G only or auto connect.
Another workaround maybe there's problem with your apn's? For example I had it set to MMS then ahd EDGE available only.
Second warkaround is secret menu, type it in dialer *#0011#.

Missing what firmware modem and CSC

My GT-i9305 LTE doesn't detect GSM network automatically I have only 2g service in my country, my phone does not connect to GSM automatically, i have to set it on GSM only every time i restart my phone it does not stick on GSM only, whenever i restart my phone it will switch to LTE/GSM/WCDMA/ auto mode but doesnt connect to GSM i have tried many ways wouldn't fix it.
It will be great if any one can help me i have tried to install another modem but couldn,t find any, I rooted it tried to install some customs modems but no success i had to flash it with old firmware

I have exactly same problem with silver.. Have you fixed it? I have tried to fix problem some, but nothing looks like gonna fix it...
I have tried everything that was written on the forum..
When I check *#0011# it shows that only GSM900 is available...
Anybody?

Have you tried changing it to WCDMA. I was having that problem with the 3g service not going above a few kbs, I changed it from gsm to WCDMA nd its back to full speed 3mbs.

Yep, I did. Both on the phone menu and service menu. Doesn't take any 3g or 4g signal if I choose em only.

Done, still same.. I have both tried with Cyanogen, Liquidsmooth, Stock rom, Ripper rom...

Stock rom with correct modem and APN not working then take it to a service centre .

Where did you buy it?. Did you see if the modem frequency of the carrier it's available in your phone?, I got the same problem and it's possible that my phone doesn't have the hardware ready for the carrier in my country. I still looking for an answer.

This is I9305 specifications are not new .
Check your network before purchase as hardware is not flash able .

Same problem
This NVM problem new HW and old nvm I got imei repair or unlock.
That's how I went, 20 managed to fix it, but this is not the last one because it is very new.
2-3 week old phone.
Looking for new NVM and efs backup.

[Q] No LTE option ( C5303 )

Hey guys I am new to xda forums, I recently bought the xperia SP ( c5303 model ) and I have this strange problem.
When I go to network mode I only get these 3 options WCDMA only GSM only or WCDMA/GSM auto and no LTE or whatever option...
First I thought it was a provider's problem or something but I checked that my 4G connection is enabled from my provider for my connection..
So I went to a store that has all the devices for exhibition and checked another xperia SP and found out that on that one (which had no SIM or internet connection on) that If I go to the settings there I could find all 4 options ( WCDMA , GSM , WCDMA/GSM and LTE/...) . So propably its something wrong with my phone or I dont know..
I Contacted Sony support on my country they told me to factory reset the phone and if that dosnt solve it repair the software or whatever with PC companion ...
I did both and had no luck on finding a solution, so I thought to ask you guys ...Help if you guys have any clue on that
P.S Just read a related thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2331317&page=2 and did this
To check:
Go to the dialer and enter;
*#*#4636#*#*
Click on Phone Information
Scroll down to Set preferred network type and check if LTE is an option
Found it but still cant select it so my question is .. Is something wrong with my device or it has to do with the provider etc ?

Nop ( and basicly I have no clue what's that flash stock .. I just repaied it using pc companion ) ..
I think it has to do with the provider or something judging from what I read to similar posts
Just If anyone could confirm it would be good

Try to read about flashing using flashtool.it will be a great help to you. Also maybe it can resolve your problem.

I installed CM on my C6603, but reflashed to a stock .244 rom, which I already used to update to .244 before. Since then, LTE, which was working fine on the same ROM before, is not working anymore. LTE (prefered)/WCDMA/GSM is activated in settings, but *#*#4636#*#* --> Phone Informations shows the following:
(Interesting facts: the timestamp translates to about 300 years, and all the values, including the last one, ta= are all the same)

When I search for networks manually, it shows my carrier's LTE network, but I can not log in to it.
I have no clue how to fix this, so do not hesitate to suggest a sloution.

Do you have a backup for TA partion before unlocking the bootloader?
If yes,restore your TA and flash the firmware again.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have relocked the Bl with flashtool, that should have the same effect, shouldn't it? It did not help, however...

No relocking the bootloader with flashtool is different than restoring TA partition.

OK, I restored my TA-partition, that didn't help though. Any more suggestions? I am still particularly sceptical of all the numbers after mTimeStamp that are identical.

Have you tried flashing the baseband only for the c6606 onto the c6603 I had the same problem my Gwat was rolling from 3g to h+ then off no radio (red x) , that was after the last update so I refreshed the baseband for the zl c6606 and it we working but taking about 5 min to connect then I tried the *#*#4636#*#* lte preferwd setting as suggested now its instant connect and no disconnects,the baseband flashing was to correct the lte connecting in Canada. It might help you.I also have the timestamp thing I think

yes, mine does that too, jumping from 3g to H+ to no signal all the time, I'll try that as soon as I can. also, it is reassuring to see that you have the same values for all those things.

Flashing a modem from a c6606 ROM did result in crashes and forced restarts, so this was not the solution. For the record, in addition to the frequent switching between 3G, H+ and no signal, I also get lots of dropped calls...
EDIT: with a service test under *#*#service#*#*/Radio Antenna and network mode=LTE, I get a *failed to det rx divesity settings" eror message.

im really sorry but i realised a huge typo it was the c6506 not c6606 i dont under stand what you mean by flashing modem, i presume you mean the same thing as baseband,http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2287847, follow this page

[Q] [TX] CM11 not detecting sim card

After installing Cm11 on my Xperia TX, it won't detect sim card, leaving my phone offline. NO Network service, signal, data connection 2g, 3g.
What could be the reason?
How to fix this?

check it with *#06#

AFAIK, 2012 xperia devices don't use/have NVRAM for the IMEI. Could you post a link showing where you got the information that the T uses NvRAM?

but when I solved it
I followed like this
settings/more/mobile network/network operators
and the click to network operators so that it will search networks after searching one or two minute problem fixed sim detected
you may try like it goodluck

No Signal problem

So, my Xperia Z has "no signal" error when i put my micro SIM card into its slot. Interesting is that when i turn the phone on it asks for a PIN, when i put the correct PIN in and confirm it has no signal at all... in the menu also appear "O2 Sim" apk after few seconds and my phone can even import contacts from SIM :laugh: ... well i am out of ideas.
Things i have tried:
Reinstall Android 4.4 via PC Companion
Downgrade to 4.3 via Flashtool
Downgrade to 4.2.2 via Flashtool
Reboot many times
Took SIM in and out many times + tried SIM in my second phone (XS) it worked normally...
I also tried SIM from different provider - same problem
Changed GSM to WCDMA only, ... (all options)
Add AP point
Find provider Auto/Manually - no service found
Checked if my phone is showing it's IMEI - yes it is
Checked if my phone isn't locked - no its unlocked
My phone is now BT locked, running Android 4.4 (10.5.A.0.230) non-rooted, at first i was thinking its a HW problem but well could it be if it recognizes the SIM card?
Last thing i am thinking about is to change my SIM to USIM, but i am not sure if it will help...

Try the SIM on other phone, its maybe a problem from your carriar

Yes i tried two different SIM cards one from O2 second one from T-Mobile -> same issue, but both are "recognized" i can even open "simcard"apk with info about SIM card but i still have no signal.

Strange..
Try to go to settings >> more... >> mobile networks >> service providers and then select your carrier name and see if works or not

Not working, check the video i posted before, phone can't find any service provider and i am not able to switch to manual... its reallly strange, i am trying to find some fix or something for about 4 hours + searching google, xda, youtube, ... and what i found? A lot of people with the same issue but no fix ...

After another X hours of looking for issue i found the reason - Antenna Board is probably faulty, i have found the same issue at some iPhone forum when the user had no signal (same as me) and fixed it by changing this little board located at the bottom of phone. But anyway if you know it won't help let me know I will post a reply when new AB will arrive and if change helped.

Thanks for reply when i flashed .ftfJB 4.3(C6603_10.3.1.A.2.67_CE) and then flashed .ftf kitkat 4.4 (10.5.A.0.230) i think baseband was included or wasn't?

Could the Baseband be damaged or something? It shows some Baseband version in "About Phone" (not Unknown) ... but i dont know, i hope it isn't.

I don't think there is any issue with the base band
you flashed different builds also
Can be a hardware issue, suggest you to go to a service center

Well i can't go to service center because i lost my warranty... any other solution how to fix it? btw where has Xperia Z located Antenna for GSM ? If it is HW issue like damaged Antenna i can fix it with buying new one but i really need someone to tell me which part of the phone can make this issue to buy the correct new part not whole new phone ...

Does not mean that the antenna is broken, can be a loose contact also
You are getting the pin prompt because the sim reader is working properly
it is unable to register to network because of antenna issue, better you show it at a mobile shop than doing self diagnosis
