I have a Moto X 2013 - XT1058. When making phone calls, I don't hear a dial tone or any sound at all. However, the other person can hear me just fine. There is no sound when receiving calls either. There is no sound even from the loudspeaker. The only way for me to hear anything is if I plug in earphones. Is this happening to anyone else?
I read online that a probable fix was to switch the runtime from ART to Dalvik but that isn't possible as I have upgraded to Lollipop. I've tried rebooting, factory resetting and even clearing the cache numerous times. Nothing helps.
It was working fine on Kitkat 4.4.2. Any fixes?

I can make and receive calls with no problems.
If I turn on the speaker phone during a call, the other person cannot hear me. Absolutely no sound is picked up by my Moto X 2. If I turn speakerphone back off, works fine. Speakerphone ON, microphone doesn't work.
Nothing is connected to the headphone jack.
No bluetooth audio device is connected.
Problem happens in safe mode.
Problem happens after a reboot.
Marshmallow Updated.
Suggestions to fix this?

My microphone works well in a regular phone call, but on speakerphone it is very faint.
Having the same issue, anyone figured out anything? Was on stock MM, tried factory reset, flashed CM. No luck what so ever.
Anything on this? I am having the very same issue with my girlfriends phone.

i try many rom xt1053 etc same no audio during call

Simply revert back too kitkat.. And check it again, if its working fine then switch it too xt1060 rom its working fine when i faced that pb on one device..

I'm not sure if I had this problem since I bought the phone. I have tried several sound mods for the z3c since then.
Now, during calls, if I use loudspeakers, callers hear their own voices as an echo - I can't use loudspeakers during calls anymore because of this.
I use Slim rom by Waijk. I already re-flashed it, with cache and dalvik cache wipe. Dirty flashed the whole rom. Tried other sound mods and I tried to restore the original sound libs - even in safe mode I still have the echo during loudspeaker calls.
Can anybody please help me?

for some reason my Moto G2 isn't working properly. Firstly I had no sound during calls when using the loudspeaker-function during calls, then I also hadn't any sound during calls using the usual earpiece-function. In both cases, music and YouTube-movies worked fine with a nice and loud sound and the other person heard me, it was just me who had no sound during calls.
So I wiped the phone with no result, still I don't have any sound during calls but in addition to this, right now I also have a very very quiet sound during music and movies, it's just unusable. Wiped the phone again, but the problem still isn't solved as I don't get any kind of sound right now.
Do you can help me, searching in the internet didn't help me that much that's why I'm opening this thread. Im guessing it's a software-isssue and no hardware-related problem.

On my Pixel 5, I can't hear phone calls unless I'm on bluetooth mic or speakerphone. The problem will sometime go away for a little bit if I clear phone app cache or do a factory reset, so it does not look like a hardware issue. Has anyone seen this issue before?
