Serious problem with Kaiser on 3UK

A few weeks ago, I bought an unlocked O2 XDA Stellar (Kaiser) from a work colleague. I put my 3UK sim in and had everything working well, but the next day when I turned on the phone, it wouldn't connect unless I forced it to use GSM mode.
The guy I bought it from put his O2 sim in and had the same problem, so he took it back to O2 under warranty. A week later it came back "fixed". It would appear to connect using 3G but it was impossible to make or receive calls unless it was forced into GSM mode, so it went back to O2 again.
Yesterday, I got a replacement unit from O2 and it worked perfectly with my 3UK sim.
Unfortunately, this morning it is back to only working if locked into GSM mode again.
I have heard of problems with Kaisers when they have been roaming (3UK roams onto Orange if the 3G signal is too weak), but I can't really imagine the phone isn't compatible with 3UK since they sell these as well!
As my work colleague is now on holiday for 2 weeks (so it can't be taken back for 2 weeks), does anybody have any ideas, or has anybody else experienced this problem?

BTW, it's still running the stock O2 ROM

ditch the stock o2 rom flash it that fixed mine when i got an orange tytn2 im also on 3 but pandg. dont mean it will work work for you but hey worth a try?

The first time I had this problem, I flashed one of Dutty's ROMs but it didn't cure the problem. It just meant I had to reflash the original and Soft SPL etc. before it went back to O2.

I've got a HTC branded Kaiser and I've had nothing but trouble trying to find a suitable radio ROM. The stock HTC ROM was just plain lousy on Orange & O2 (I have both SIM cards) whereas my old Nokia & Ericsson work perfectly well. I mean SO lousy that I more often don't have any signal at all most of the time, regardless of location. I've lost count of the number of ROMS that I've tried trying to find that "perfect" one. Now I'm convinced that it doesn't exist and because of this, the Kaiser and HTC themselves are sh1t!!
I had one ROM (forget which one) where the Orange signal would go from full to nothing on about a 3min cycle.... off, on, off, on etc eventhough the phone was in the same location.
I know this doesn't really help you, but at least you know you are not alone. Good luck finding that Holy Grail of a ROM. If you do, let me know!

Thanks, but it went from working really well yesterday to not working at all on 3G today.
I haven't made any changes since it worked.
If I enable 3G, it connects but shows the carrier as "3G 3" instead of just "3" and also shows the triangle roaming symbol (which it always shows when connected in GSM mode, but not normally when using 3G.
I'm not convinced that it's a ROM, or radio ROM related issue, but I can't believe that both Kaisers have developed the same problem, and both within 24 hours of using them on 3UK!
I may have to try and get it replaced again and sell it on though I would be very sad to see it go.

I've had the same problem, i was wondering what that triangle ment, yesterday i started getting the Roaming notification, 3 is expensive enough without roaming charges!
I'm wating to get an 02 sim card anyway but im hoping i havnt screwed up my phone the GPRS icon still shows.

It appears to me that your "3" network is just too weak, therefore the device selects automatically the next available stronger network. Try setting your device on MANUAL NETWORK SELECTION and select the 3 Network.

No mobile data on LG G2 Verizon

Hi guys, sorry if i haven't posted in the right area but,i m kinda desperate.
I live in Romania and I got a G2 from US,all good till now,i got signal on my phone I can make calls get texts etc,but I can't connect the 3G/LTE network , I have the H/3G sign near the signal but it won't connect,I toogled the APN settings like i did on my other phones but , no luck. It s running on Verizon Android 5.0.2 with all Verizon stuff and apps that I don't like to be honest, I don't really know the android phones , the roots roms etc because I had an iPhone before,what do u think might be the problem? Should I go to a service to install a custom stock rom ,not the Verizon one or....?

Can't connect to any network in my case
I have an lg vs980 and I was using it with H2O wireless and later I changed to Simple Mobile. I'm living in Puerto Rico. The phone was working all right and, suddenly, one day it was always displaying 'emergency calls only'.
I did factory reset, then I reflashed stock lollipop and it was like nothing happened, keeps displaying 'emergency calls only'.
Then I found this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2394689 and applied the patch but didn't seem to resolve the problem.
As a last resort I tried flashing cm 12.1 and before first boot applied the patch from the cited thread but no result, keeps displaying 'emergency calls only'.
Has anyone found a solution to this problem?

LG G2 VS980 sim card issues, network issues...

Okay, so I will try to keep this short. I have a vs980 that I water damaged about 9ish months ago. Stuck it rice ans said prayers to no avail. Me and wife left verizon and went to cricket shortly after. I got moto e and she brought her vs980 over to cricket. Fast forward to last week my daughter grabs the dead phone and plugs it in wanting to play with it and it works. It was being little glitchy so I factory wiped and that fixed but now I cant get it to recognize any sim cards. I put cricket in and no luck, I put my wife's cricket in and no luck, and I even put my mother-in-laws AT&T sim in with no luck. I have tried multiple roms with no success. The phone says that the cell radio is off and when I try to make a call it says to turn off airplane mode even though it is already off. I cant find anything to fix this. Please help... Thanks!

Okay so discovered that it is recognizing SIM but network is radio is off and I can't get it to turn on.... Any help appreciated

Droid Turbo on T-Mobile. Need Help!

So I've had my droid turbo for a month now and I've been using it on T-Mobile and it has worked fine, no issues whatsoever, until yesterday when the service just stopped working. I have no signal at all. I took it to T-Mobile and they couldn't fix it and then Verizon who also couldn't fix it. I tried At&t and Verizon sim cards and they work, but for some reason T-Mobile sims don't work anymore, I woke up and it just had no signal. Also, whenever i put in my sim, i get the message "Restricted access changed voice service is blocked" Please help!!

I've been on T-Mobile with my Turbo for a little over a month now. Delete any APNs if you have any, reboot and test.
If no profit..
Turn wifi, Bluetooth, nfc, anything that connect to any kind of network off and run it dead, then charge it to full and boot back up then turn what you need back on, should have signal again.
If not..
Try another sim from T-Mobile, yours may be damaged if you frequently take the tray out over and over..
The Last possible solution would be to reset the phone entirely, so make backus f what you need beforehand. Then set it up from last backup saved to google if you have one and pop the sim in, let it sit 2-5 mins, reboot, then give it ~2 mins and you should have signal recovered.
If not, then may be an update gone awry or if you have it rooted and such, maybe something you used broke it.
Last problem would be a bad antenna, so try all the above before trying to replace the antenna.

Only Problems I've had on my Turbo was it turning wifi off randomly here and there, making me do a reboot every few days.
Dropped signal once, but that during initial use, so not much to blame on it there

I've been using a Turbo on tMob since 2 wks after release. That said I've run into the same thing a couple times over the past yr. Out of nowhere it just acts up & stops working. As suggested above I'd say about the smae things. So to no repeat it all my first suggestion is try getting a new Sim card from tMob. First time it happened to me it was my sim, other 2 times it was not, sim was good. Only option to fix it on my end was a factory reset of the device. On the resets tho I made sure to use tMob sim, but i also did not start the process until the msg pops up on the turbo saying its " Not a Verizon sim card" i'd clear that and then start the process of resetting it. So far so good as of late, been at least 3-4 months since the last time i was having troubles.

Switched Back to the Nexus 6 - Now Can't Make Calls or get Internet on Verizon

Hello Guys. I recently tried the LG V10 for a week but decided to go back to the Nexus 6. I powered down the V10 and removed the SIM card. Then loaded the SIM into the Nexus 6 and powered it on. After boot, I saw the Verizon Wireless name in the upper right corner and thought I was good to go. However, I do not have an internet connection and can't make calls. I get a message saying "your call can't be completed".
I am running AOISP marshmallow ROM and everything worked perfectly before. I also had no issue when loading the SIM into the V10.
Any suggestions to get me connected again? Thanks Guys.

Looked online and My Verizon says the "Device is Suspended". There is a button to click that says "Reconnect Device"
If I reconnect device, will I jeapordize unlimited data? I got the LG V10 before November 15 from Best Buy. Never used the new SIM.

I have had similar issue before with my phone and Verizon. Flashed a stock rom and let then let phone boot up completely. Wait till it gets LTE and then retore your custom rom. Something to do with APN config being made to the sim card.
