Running stock 5.1.1 on my 64gb. Was curious as when charging, it will say its charged and battery indicator only showing 99%. Does anyone else have this issue? Noob question here just never really noticed this till today
Unplug it from charger, wait a few moments. Then plug into charger. It should reach 100%.
If that doesn't work, try turning the device completely off, plug that sucker in and let it charge up.

Hi,
My kaiser has been running fine, i installed a couple of apps this morning and all of a sudden my battery drained from like 70 - 80 % down to 15 %. even though i have plugged the handset into the charger the battery continues to discharge. I have uninstalled the apps from this morning but i have no power left in my kaiser and awaiting some charge to check if this has made a difference. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
Still no luck after uninstalling some programs. Any advise would be appreciated.
Thanks
Does the phone charge at all? Did the phone ever indicate that it was charging even though it wasn't? When you were attempting to charge it, was it through a wall charger or through the computer? If it was the computer, make sure that "When device is turned on, do not charge the battery when connected to the PC" check box is not checked.
I wouldn't rule it out as a software only issue. If you were doing everything correctly, and it still wasn't charging, then there could be an issue with the charger, the battery, or the usb connector on your phone. I had unknowingly damaged my connecter before, and when I went to charge it, it said it was charging but in reality it wasn't.
Edit: thanks to this post, my problem has been solved. Thanks!
So last night I went from stock motorola 2.2 to this wonderful-seeming version of CyanogenMod on my UK milestone - the install went flawlessly, but now I have a problem - my battery is not charging at ALL.
While the phone was on last night after I charged it, it was plugged in, first to my PC and then to the wall socket. In both cases, the battery indicator had a ? (question mark) on it.
I thought it might have been some weirdness with battery calibration so I left it and plugged the phone in from the wall to charge overnight. This morning, my phone was telling me to connect my charger (despite it being plugged in) and on removing the power cable, it died due to no battery power left within 10 minutes.
While plugged in from the wall, the battery indicator comes up but again just contains a ? on it. The little white light next to the power socket never lights up.
If I plug the phone in to my PC via USB then if the handset is OFF, the white light comes on and around 10 mins later it gets enough juice to boot up. The problem is that when the CM7 software starts, the little white light disappears, the phone stops charging despite the cable being present, and it then dies 2 minutes later.
I know the battery is fine because it was perfectly fine before I installed CM7.
Anyone else experienced this problem and/or know how to fix it?
One thing I did manage to do before it died was install a battery calibration app that I found on xda-developers - this told me that the battery was running at 3267 mV - any idea if that's good or bad?
(and yes, I'm using precisely the same cable/charger I was using before I put this version of CM7 on, so I know they are fine - they charge a friend's SGS with no problems)

Try plugging the phone into the wall charger, without the battery. Try and boot it up and let it boot. Once it's booted up, give it a bit and try and put the battery in and leave it to charge.
What happens if you turn off you phone and plug it in a wall charger? If the problem isn't in your battery it will charge fully.
When you phone comes up, try to disable the 1% battery steps in settings. I got a problem with it, and after disabled/enabled it worked fine for me.
Hope this helps.
On plugging it into a wall charger, the phone comes up with its special battery charging screen (i.e. a fullscreen battery level indicator) - no amount of pressing the power button seems to get it to boot properly (with or without the battery).
I'll see if I can get in and get rid of the 1% steps thing later, thanks for the suggestion

Dude, that was PERFECT.
Managed to get enough juice into the thing to get into the menu for a moment and was able to disable the 1% battery steps option - soon as I touch that tickbox, the battery indicator switches from a ? to the charging symbol and the phone starts charging. Thanks a million!
Nop dude, you are welcome
Well, I woke up this morning and my Moto X had 1% battery left. (Yeah, I know I should charge it at night and use in the morning, but sometimes you just fall sleep while using your phone, you know). I ran to put it to charge but I couldn't make it in time. So I ran out of charge and then connected the charger.
Everything was ok, but I was late for work so I took it off from charging at 50% battery.
Late in the night, I put it to charge again with 20% battery. And then my phone died! it wouldn't turn on. So I disconnected the charger and try to wake my phone and it did turn on. But now everytime I connect the charge the phone turns off! I checked out if the battery was actually charging and at least I'm ok about it. It's charging. But I can use it until I disconnect the charger.
Anyone has been through it? Any solutions? Or I just need to wait till it get 100% charge?
So I was able flash this Rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2398003 with out any hitches. As soon as the power level goes down to 15% I plugged in the charger while Tab is turned on. It does not indicate that it is charging. So, I turned it off while plugged in. the battery logo comes up and says that it's at 100%.
I turned it back on, now it says it's at 12%, I turned it off and left the charger plugged in for about 5hrs. When I checked the screen the battery logo says it's at 100%. when I turned it on it was at 100% but was depleting the battery fast. I turned it back off, now the battery logo says it's charging. I left it for 30mins. and turned it back on. it's at 8% and cycles from "connect charger" to "charging". Now the tab is dead, it wont turn on. It doesn't even have enough juice for me to restore my back up.
Please, can anyone tell me how I can fix this. I would really appreciate it.

I was using this ROM for a long time and I flashed it over and over without facing any battery problems
so I would say that flashing that ROM caused a battery calibration problem, but sense you can't even charge when your tab is turned off
so I don't think this is the problem
the only thing I can think off is that you should try another charger [I read: cycles from "connect charger" to "charging"]
and yes this might happened, and if you don't have another charger, connect it to your computer for around 5 hours, that would do it
I am currently connecting my tab to the wall, waiting for it to get to 4hrs. I saw this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1861229 and am following it right now I hope this works. If it still does not work, I have another charger for the exact same model I could use.
I recently updated my phone to CPH2173_11_C.48 (April 2022 Security).
When the phone is on the fast charging shows but the battery % does not increase, in fact the battery drains when used.
The only way I can get it to charge is by first connecting the charger and then turning off the phone. After it starts charging (and the charging % increases), I can then turn the phone on and it charges properly even whilst using the phone to watch videos.
The only thing I have done recently is to update to the latest firmware.
Any ideas what the issue may be?
If you do the above process then unplug and plug straight back in, does the problem replicate?
Does it only happen below or above a certain battery%?
It happens on low and high battery %. If I unplug and then plug straight back the problem replicates
Noticed something a bit weird, I connected the phone to my PC and it is charging slowly (normal charge, not fast charge). When plugged into an outlet, it shows fast charging but the % does not go up (unless the phone is off).
Could this be a software issue with fast charging? Any way to fix other than to try factory reset?

The culprit looks to be fast charge at lower battery %. I can slow charge at lower battery with the phone on and fast charge at higher % ( around70% +). Whilst off, fast charge works at any % battery.
Could this be software or hardware issue. Problem persists even after factory reset.
