Hello everyone,
I have a boot loader unlocked Moto X 2013, running stock lollipop 5.1 222.21.15.ghost_row.AsiaRetail.en.03. Previously i had rooted and installed various custom ROM but in order to get the lollipop updated flashed stock firmware through RSD lite and successfully got the lollipop update. Recently the phone had been acting weridly with apps crashing or getting stuck so i manually cleared the cache and factory reset through recovery.
Since then the phone is working perfectly but the boot animation has changed and i cant find any reference or image of this boot animation on the net plus i dont like it at all. Any one else faced this issue and how do i get it back to the stock boot animation??

Whenever Motorola Boot Services app receives an update (or after a System Update) we can expect a new boot animation.
Previously there have been 3 or 4 boot animations. (one during FIFA Worldcuo, one during Spring, etc) and till now they were seasonal (the old animation got back after few weeks)

Hello,
I rooted my phone and flashed a CM12 Nightly a week or so ago. The phone was working fine right until today morning. Over the past week, I've installed a few themes, a boot animation, Titanium backup, Device Control (haven't changed anything), SuperSU, apart from the regular play store apps. Today, I rebooted my device, and it shut down, but isn't turning on. Neither the normal bootup or into recovery.
I found this link, but it's for KitKat, and I'm not sure if I should go for it or not:

Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks.

Hello all I am in a Real pickle here lol
I received a Nexus 6 today as insurance replacement (my awesome one did a triple back flip out of my pocket) I was able to start the "new" nexus 6 followed prompts data restored on device and prompted to install 5.1.1 updated went thru process and initializing then phone got stuck on a Boot loop of the google screen and would not get to boot animation so then i went into the boot loader menu and recovery and performed factory reset and wipe cache now the phone will boot up past the google screen into the boot animation and then freeze on boot animation then restart back into a google boot loop. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated (And before anyone says send it back T-MO by accident sent me 64gb N6 and I had a 32gb N6 hence the reason I am trying to fix it )
Thank you !!!

Try manually flashing all the android 5.1.1 system files. You can download them on Google's dev site which includes instructions on how to flash the files.

Hope this helps! If you have any questions, just ask.
Using my Moto Maker XT1060 (Verizon variant). I had unlocked bootloader some time ago using Sunshine and was previously using the most up-to-date VZW 4.4.4 firmware.
I got sick of waiting for VZW to release the Lollipop update so I figured I would try CM 12.1. Here's what I did:
Download the latest Dev Edition recovery firmware from Motorola (VZW_212.55.26.ghost_verizon.Verizon.en.US.tgz)
Flashed it to the device using fastboot successfully for a stable and clean base
Booted up and used the phone no problem
Downloaded the CM12.1 Nightly .zip file
Downloaded the latest TWRP and flashed it
Booted into recovery no problem
Used TWRP to do a factory reset
Installed CM .zip
Restart the phone normally
The phone was able to load CM and get to the Startup Wizard, but was caught in a soft bootloop (no rebooting from bootloader and buzzing, but the system would crash and the CM boot animation would come up, then repeat). I noticed this was happening at about the same time that the "Location" icon was appearing in the notification tray, so I figured it was an issue with GPS. I rebooted and cleared modemst1 and modemst2 using fastboot, but this yielded no results.
At that point I figured "to hell with it" and flashed the Motorola recovery firmware back onto it using fastboot. Now the damn thing is stuck in a soft bootloop and won't get past "Preparing device..."
No idea what happened, I have never experienced anything like this before (fully flashed 6 other devices at this point). Any help is appreciated as of all the devices I have worked with, this one is actually my personal phone. Figures it would be the one to get screwed up somehow...
Did you format/wipe /data or perform a factory reset before booting into CM?

Hey guys,
I have a Moto G 2014 here that is stuck in a boot loop. It's on stock recovery, not rooted and the bootloader is locked. It was running 5.x and had an update available (I'm pretty sure it was the stagefright update). After installing it it restarted and got stuck on the Motorola boot logo. Twice it's gotten past the boot logo (I think after letting the battery run out and wiping cache it does this) and shows a popup "Android is upgrading - Starting apps" with a spinning circle but it doesn't go past that. I can get into fastboot and stock recovery.
My question is, with a locked bootloader, is there any way to get it to boot again without losing user data?

I guess no other way left or else try once wiping cache from stock recovery and check whether it boots if not then you have to flash the whole firmware with loosing your data.
Hi Folks
Hope someone can help. Any issue with my mothers phone of all people
I bought her a new MOTO G2 last year unlocked the bootloader rooted and installed TWRP so I could install certain apps on it.
Today she said her phone was not working so I checked it out. It boots with the motorola start up and then just a blank screen . I tried a factory reset same thing. So I thought ,might as well try a ROM. I flashed 3 ROM's via TWRP the last one been minimal O2, I also flashed CM12 and I also flashed the stock rom all via TWRP as I can not use fastboot as the device it is not recognized by the computer
When I flash the ROM's and GAPPS with CM12 it just stays on a continues load screen . The CM12 logo, likes its loading to boot, it just never changes and the same for minimal OS.
So I flashed stock rom and same as before it loads past the boot up screen and then a blank screen
I can not flash stock via fastboot as my computer is not recognizing it so I was wondering if any one ever encountered an issue like and how they got around it as I am at a complete loss now. I have plenty of rooted phones over the last few years the latest been my G4 and I am yet to see a problem like
Any help would begreatly appreciated Thanks folks
