First make sure you have unlocked Bootloader for this!
(when not you must downgrade to EMUI 2.3 and root it with root_genius.
this will also unlock the Bootloader )
Reboot in to bootloader and flash twrp for EMUI 3.1/Android 5.1.1
Link
Reboot into TWRP and flash the latest SuperSu thx @Chainfire
LINK
Reboot you're Phone an install Terminal Emulator and Busybox from Playstore.
Now type in the following commands:
su
mount -o rw,remount /system
cd system
lsattr
chattr -R -i *
rm –f /system/set_immutable.list
lsattr ( only to check if set_immutable.list is gone)
Now you should have full root !
Things I noticed so far: TWRP 2.8.6.0 can't read external storage (sdcard)
TWRP 2.8.1.0 can read sdcard.
Anyway I copied supersu into the internal storage and flashed for the 3rd time, twrp 2.8.6.0 again via adb and then flashed supersu via custom recovery from the internal storage.
Let's do the deleting immutable thing now.
Thanks Araca.

To me it says my IMEI and S/N are mismatched! WTF?!
Had the same problem, don't use the serial number from the settings, use the one on the box that the phone came in.. Maybe there's a shortcut to dial to get the serial, all I know is that the serial in the settings didn't work for me.
Now I'm unlocked again and rooted

guys so is this lolipop 5.1.1 ? or just 5.1 ?
Do you think that if i reflash all the phone with b133 over b805 it will work because i can't get the unlock code for my bootloader and i've no keyboard,wifi(...) so adb don't work anymore, all the fastboot cmd are blocked because my bootloader is damn locked
it is 5.1.1

5.1.1 not rootable shame..will stay on KK
successfully rooted my phone with this description..
flashed 2.8.6.0..
loaded into twrp and made a reboot out of twrp..
su installed, updated binary, installed busybox, made the changes in terminal emulator: 100% root!
by the way this b805 is Android 5.1.1 and beta
just install it as described in the corresponding thread and then do the root procedure as described here..
i have none of the issues other users have..

You are not 100% rooted because immutable.list is reverting back after restart. You must flash true fastbot unlocked B.609 boot.img and then you will be 100% rooted

It depends by the developer but usually they remove set_imuttble.list,add init.d support, zipalign apps on every boot and tweaking database(sqlite3).If you don't know what are you doing better not mess with boot.img because if you flash true fastboot wrong or damaged boot.img you will brick your phone.

Thank you. Here's what I did.
When I see the message saying you need decryption key, I tried to unlock again the bootloader. It does factory reset afterwards.
I forced flash update.app, relock bootloader and I got an issue with themes.
To fix that, I unlocked bootloader and flash TWRP. I flashed the data zip bundled on the firmware. Flashed again the stock recovery and update.app
Relock again the bootloader and it did a factory reset again
after that, its all stock
Thanks guys

Hi....
First you choose Utility in SRK Tools and then choose "install /data/hw_init", on your phone you should accept supersu request and Done!
this is my solution ( made by me ) after trying many solutions over this forum @ other forums
just
1- delete any folder for themes u made (as hw_init or themes in root folder or at any site )
2- make folder & name it ( HWTHemes ) in internal memory
3- download this folder & put it inside (HWTHemes )
4- go to themes app and chose ** Aqua theme ** & apply it
5- no need to change any permissions
this was try on huawei y 7 2017

Since you have TWRP I guess you somehow deleted all the files ....
If you have a backup file (created with TWRP) you should be able to return to a previous state.
I had a problem intalling official builds, after installing a custom ROM.
You could try to install a custom ROM, like sokkoban's (very similar to the official one).

If you want to install a custom rom you can install it through twrp. If you want to install the official build (which is very messy with emui and I do not suggest that unless you get to the service center - or anyone else can provide a working guide) you must install a custom recovery.
In my opinion, you should install a custom rom (for instance Sokkoban's) in order to have an operational phone and then find a way to install the official build.

It's weird. Try to install TWRP 3.02 again.
Then try sokkoban's ROM (the one with SU preinstalled). As long as you have the european model (C432) it should work. You should be patient, it might need more than one tries.
An other option is to try setting it up from the beginning:
go to this thead and head over to chapter 5 and install the EU dual sim files.
Also do not forget, when in fastboot mode, you use the fastboot command, not adb.

Hey guys,
i feel a bit like an idiot...
I'm not able to boot in the twrp recovery
I tried to reboot via fastboot, manual by holding volume + and power...But always the stock recovery boots and not the twrp 3.1.1.0 on my gra-l09c432B398.
Why am I not able to do it?
Hello guys im new to the forum,
I wanted to root my phone a p9+ VIE-L09 with android 7.0
I tried the whole afternoon with no success and I think I almost bricked my phone.
from what I have understood I have to
Enable fast boot <---- DONE
install TWRP <---- don't know what to do
Root <---- ?
I tried using droidth's SRK tool but doesn't work for VIE-L09 I think?
sorry I'm a noob

Unfortunatly it doesn't work when I need to reboot in twrp and install the root package the device is stuck on loading screen with "your device is booting now..."
it seems like it cannot load twrp recovery?
No recovery tool supports VIE-L09 model (TWRP/CWM), I tried also with One Click Root but the dont support the model I gues this phone cannot be rooted because there is no recovery support

Yes, twrp should work, you must have the wrong twrp or doing something wrong.

try TWRP from This post : https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9-plus/development/twrp-t3584486
boot into bootloader
use this cmd : fastboot flash recovery2 twrp-3.1.1-1-vie.img
then this cmd to reboot : fastboot reboot
then press VOL+ 3sec

Did this work? I am hoping to root my Huawei P9 VIE-L09C02 with B350 (P9 Plus with Vodafone Stock ROM, EMUI 5.1 & Android 7.0)
Normally it works, but your bootloader and FRP must be unloked
