Any one having issues receiving texts on Verizon? - Moto X Q&A

Just curious if anyone else is unable to receive texts on Verizon. I can send but not receive.
3 phones on my account: Droid turbo and 2 moto x's. The turbo is fine but the x's won't receive. One of them was just wiped 2 days ago but the issue stayed this morning.

Been fine here. Been txting back and forth with my wife (iPhone6) in the ATL metro area.
Maybe call VZW CS?

Verizon Outage saga continues

I know that Verizon said they had fixed the outage of earlier this week, but I've been down since Wednesday morning and am still down. Basically I have a 1X phone that looks exactly like a Droid Bionic. FYI, I'm in downtown Denver. I'd like to see how much Verizon is really lying about this in an effort to not lose Holiday sales. Is this outage still widespread or is it only in Denver now?
I'm in downtown Denver as well. I had to reboot my phone yesterday morning to get 4G back. Been fine since yesterday (Dec 8th) morning.
Needed full factory reset, but that did the trick
i'm down in the springs and i've been having random texting issues here and there...i was unaware that verizon was having so many issues and just kept messing with battery pulls and switching network modes (3g/4g, 3g only, etc)
i'm still unrooted.
My phone is telling me 4g is on but all of my apps are telling me I have no network connection. I think it's because I'm on 8.894 though.

Nevermind. It's every 4g phone around me. Tomorrow is a new day.

Not recieving MMS messages sent from Verizon iPhone.

So, this is a wierd one. Not sure if it is ROM related, Verizon related, or the fact that she is using a POS iphone 4.
Her phone, iPhone 4s on Verizon
My Phone, Droid 4, AOKP, stock kernal, Verizon
She sents an MMS message, but I do not recieve a notification. To be clear, I am NOT having trouble downloading them, I am not recieving any indication that she has sent them. This is the case with two people who I know.
I have tried using safestrap to go back to my stock rom, and still no luck. Any thoughts yall?

[Q] Moto X Audio Quality/Network Issues - Sprint

Hi everyone.
I'm new here. I belong to other android forums but I'm not finding the help that I need there.
I switched from a Photon 4G recently to a Moto X via the motomaker. I'm on the Sprint network.
I barely had any issues with the Photon 4G. Ever since I've bought the Moto X, I've had one issue after another. The most frustrating one right now is audio quality and network issues.
I've contacted Sprint and they're not having any "new" problems. Compared to my Photon 4G, this phone is awful.
When I talk to people, they don't hear me or say every other word cuts out. I am rarely - if ever - on 4G and have to rely on wifi or just 3G to get by. I've been stranded several times late at night in unfamiliar neighborhoods and can't get an address out of there because the phone cannot connect to Google. It's that bad.
I've done loads of trouble shooting with Sprint and Motorola. In the end, I've had to return 2 Moto X's and I'm on my 3rd (and last) one. I've been in contact with the Motorola engineers. They have asked me a lot of questions about my usage, but have not provided any solutions. I've also sent them links to others on the same phone/network having the same exact issues, but this is not being acknowledged.
I'm wondering if you have come up with some solutions/thoughts on this issue?
I rely heavily on my phone for work/personal use/emails. This phone has handicapped me to the point where I'm ready to jump ship to the Nexus 5 or the LG G2 - both of which I've read have had audio issues as well.
I'm out of idea and at the end of my rope.
Thoughts?
Its probably Sprint, these network vision upgrades they are doing are causing problems in many areas with both voice and data service. I suspect the switch to the MotoX may have been a coincidence. Where are you located?

But it isn't happening on my Photon 4G every time I switch back to it while waiting for my replacement Moto X. I'm in Los Angeles.

no calls on extended network

Hi I'm in a Nexus 6 on Verizon my cabin is in weird signal area 4G is here but spotty. 3G is on an extended network using US Cell towers. Problem is I can't talk back to people I can hear them but they can't hear me. Previous to this I had a Droid Maxx HD when Volte came out I gave it a try not only was there no one to talk to but it did the same exact same thing the nexus is doing. I couldn't just turn it off I had to remove it from my phone. Then it worked fine. Point is doesn't the Nexus come already capable and if Verizon offers it will be activated on the Nexus. I believe this is the problem is anyone on an extended network having this problem? If I am correct there is no way to fix it at least until Verizon gets the Nexus and even then they probably won't admit it especially since I bought my phone from Moto. Thanks.

Question Verizon customers receive my message but I don't receive their message

I have made many efforts for 2 months. I was a Verizon Customer, left for MINT mobile9(tmobile system). I Have contacted Verizon, Mint 30+ times everyone passes the buck. So I can receive MMS from Verizon customers only but not SMS. Everyone and everything else seems to be fine. I went through the Odin and uploaded a new rom but it didnt' solve my issue. Last note I have an old Iphone and I put the MINT sim card in and I can receive SMS from verizon customers although I'm not quite sure if that was just imessage come to think of it. Anyways my next option if I can't fix this is to move to a Verizon network and pay more.
