Weird screen thing - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S6

I just noticed that I was able to minimize a facebook window that was about a quarter of the screen. I closed it but I'm not sure how I did it. How did I do it?

Drag the from the top right towards the bottom left to make it turn the full screen app into a windowed app... Then there's a button on the top middle of the window for options to minimize, maximize, and close.

Love the assumption everyone on here is male.... Lol you might need to be a bit more specific. Do you mean you want to reopen a closed tab from a previous time you've had Firefox open? It should be in history.

Usually at the bottom of its launch page is the button for synched tabs not sure about lost tabs tho.
I have a question too! My menu button on Firefox on my N7 is non existent! Where'd it go? Its where it should be on my phone. Very annoying.

In the Firefox Beta, the 'menu' or 'options' is the three vertical dots in the upper right hand corner.

That's just the thing, I'm not on the beta app on both my devices =/
The 'menu' is the same on both versions. Three vertical dots in the upper right.

How to Get to Home Screen With Pen

Doing some research the Note 2 had a bunch of gestures you could draw with the pen, a "<" for going back, or drawing from top to bottom to go home. I am trying to find a way to get to the home screen without pressing the home button. Mainly when you have your pen out. Any suggestions?
I was gonna make a how to thread about this.

I would think that app would interfere with my magazine function

Why not just tap the home button with the S pen?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk 4
You can still use the magazine by swiping starting on the screen, I like this because I am not getting accustom to starting my swipes off of the screen. So to me it feels like I no longer have that magazine function!

Tapping the home button with the S Pen just like pressing it with your finger? The goal is to alleviate the number of button presses, as to prolong the life of the home button.
I'm using Floating Toucher to get to the home screen, lock the device and other things.

Recent apps

Anyone else noticed that if you hold two fingers on any screen on the Gear you get a list of recently opened apps?
Much quicker to navigate this way sometimes.
You can also close the apps by swiping each one to the left.
Awesome tip. I didn't know that. Thanks.

Hmm ... Too bad that we can't clear the open apps.
I think we will see a lot of changes from Samsung with the gear. They rushed it to market, imho, without it being very mature. But then every new device has this issue.
I remember when people were complaining that the amount of available apps for Android paled in comparison to the iSuck devices.

I knew about this but also if you double tap 2 fingers you get instant shortcut to volume / brightness settings and battery level
Wow this is a nice tip. Is this something that was in the manual that came with the device. I never read them
Doesn't this tip appear on menu that came with the box?

Lockscreen immediately

Are there any apps that can lock the screen right away? I noticed when screen timeout kicks in, the phone is not locked right away. I am looking for something that would lock it right away. Thanks

Go into settings, lockscreen, and scroll to the bottom and click on secure lock time. Then check imediatley. This should fix your problem.

Fingerprint swipe upwards

I just got done setting the fringerprint scanner to work on an upwards swipe
It simple
Swipe up when registering 1 set will all upwards swipes
It will warn you to swipe downwards when trying this, but if you do it quick enough it will actually accept it as a swipe enough times to make a whole set.
Try it out

In my experience upward swipes work even if you only registered downward swipes, just not as well.
Do you find that this works better than the down swipe?

Interesting. Swiping down is a little hard at times. Guess I'll try it. Thanks for sharing.
I scan my thumb sideways. Better for me.
