I can update from ota to lolipop 5.0 . some one send me link to down load and update by odin ( i need file MD5 ) . i try to copy file update.zip and up from recovery but not done . thanks you .
Are you trying to stay rooted or just stay stock and never want to root? If you take new OTA you may not ever be able to root. Try the instructions to downgrade, root and use Flashfire to have rooted update.

I'm currently on LA1 and my note is still unrooted, but I want to root to use some apps such as titanium backup.
Is there any way my note can be rooted (just rooted) but I can still update my note thru OTA?
@sir dr.ketan: since I can't post at your post here, I'd like to ask, can I use the "I want just root" method and still retain the ability to update thru OTA?
Thanks

Yes, it`s possible
What you do is root your phone with InitialCFRootflasher link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1331784. Goes till KL7, if you are on a later rom, downgrade (flash KKA for instance). After gaining root install the original kernel with Odin for your rom. Than in CWM manager flash the Zimage of the corresponding CFRoot kernel and you`re done. Works only with stock rom`s.
For later rom`s than KL7 you can flash stock firmware with Mobile Odin, see Chainfires`s thread.

I dont remember but most probable it was you, i had PM few min back
Your Rooted phone will get OTA update, but it will lose Root.
And once your Note updated to newer ROM (Kl7/LA1/3/4 n abobe), you wont root it again.
So after rooting, better you update it by method i have mentioned in post#2 of this thread, not on OTA to keep your Root intact
Edit : Oh just i have read, you are on LA1, you dont have possibility of direct Root, you have to downgrade first

if you ever unlocked bootloader you will not get the update and you will not be able to update manually. even if you lock the bootloader you will never get OTA updates ever again.
but if you want to update you can by doing this.
first flash .raw full ROM (I cant post link to download it but if you Google you might get it). keep that file in your external SD then go to droidboot and do a factory reset from there go back to droidboot and select SD download your phone will automatically flash stock ROM and your phones bootloader will get locked.
then you can update manually.

unrooting and locking the bootloader will not help. if you ever unlocked bootloader you phone get banned from getting OTA update.
the only safe way to update now is to flash .raw ROM and then update by full ROM from Asus.com
Flash raw file first and then Download and update by full zip file.... update to 7.4.4 L its the best
Sent from my ASUS_T00I using XDA Free mobile app
if u not getting update from ota
going to asus.com and down load zip file put it in phone and update ( make sure ur bootloader is locked)
OK, I can find how to up date to 5.0 and keep root. How can I unroot and update to 5.0?
Just flash the OTA. But why would anyone want to? If you don't want this phone rooted, sell it. If you unroot and go stock you can never go back to root.
I've tried to just do the ota but it fails at 26%
It fails because your rooted. Flash stock Rom first.

Go to the OP scroll down to step 4 in the notes section, download the back to nce firmware. Use odin to flash it in the AP slot. Take the OTAs.
I take it you would leave out the root with towle root part
I've been running stock rooted with xposed for so long i can't remember what i should do to update. there aren't any stock and rooted zips to load that i can find. i'm on project fi right now
should i just download the zip from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/general/ref-nexus-6-stock-ota-urls-t2906493
then can i just take it and update in TWRP? then my phone won't be rooted anymore and then just re-root?
let me know if i have those steps down or if there is an easier way to do things to avoid losing root
thanks
I am using a rooted moto g 2014. I have an ota update notification. how to install the the ota update? I'm using twrp 2.8.6.0 custom recovery.
You need to go back to stock recovery to install the updates. However the update might fail on a rooted phone and you might need to unroot it. Also you need to remove rooted apps like xposed to have a successful OTA. For a smooth OTA, I would suggest you move back to stock ROM and recovery and then OTA update.

Share the process plz... (in details)
Here is the post to flash the stock recovery and firmware
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/general/official-stock-firmware-5-0-2-lxb22-46-t3019612
Make sure you back up your data before you perform the procedure. Also for being safe side, back up all the contents of your internal memory.
Good luck
